Seeing as so many people are interested in this-- how about we just have an intergalactic blind date? My guy's got a bar that he runs and lets be rented out-- how about I get a plot page up so there can be signups? We can make this legitimate with sponsors from guilds and small character-made companies and revenue.
I can get all of the list of names, randomize them up, then send the out and offer that while blind dates can be at any location, drinks and rooms are half-price at Seir's ship / bar to support that characters can mingle in the same thread if they want to?
