"And what is not the physical aspect?" she quizzed, unsure of what else this woman could be 'healing'.

Sins. Tålamod had never been one to really delve into spirituality and moral philosophy. Serve your country, do your job, achieve honor, save your own people. That was the philosophy she had been raised on. But maybe now was a good moment to reflect on herself. She had nearly murdered someone, and in cold blood.

"Surely you wish to escape." She did, did she not?

"No, i dont." She concentrated on the hands once more, letting the force flow into them as she once more began to stiche the woulds together and willing the cells to repair themselves or make more. It was a utterly slow process for the one doing it, a minute feeling like a year for Alexandra as she had to look at ever Cell, Tissue, and nerve, hoping she got it right and did not cause a worse problem than already.

She did not? Why would she not want to be free? Honor, Tålamod supposed. She was honorable.

In her state of calm, Shapochka thought back to something this Alexandra Feanor had mentioned earlier. It was about bringing back the dead. "You told me something before about returning the dead." She paused, still intently observing the restoration of her hands. How she could perform such self-mutilation and not feel it was a mystery to even her. But there was an internal pain that had been very real to her. "Who can do that?"

"Returning the dead to life is not something that comes without a price miss, they would not be the same. The Sith are the ones that would defile the dead so and they have done it in the past. You see, when you think on the past you come to a realization of the future, dwelling on it will only lead you down a path in which you harm yourself as you have seen today. If it was anyone else you would have died at the door, but i am not like the Sith, i accept my fate and what i do, and when i am dead, i will be so till the end of time, in one form or another."

"You have an assurance that I don't understand," Toli admitted. "But someone must pay. Why must I pay?"

She looked at the eyes of her healer, trying to find reason. How could this woman be guilty? Yet she never denied her crimes. "If you are good like this, why are you here? Why did you fight for them?"

"Because everyone deserves life, i didn't join them to help them conquer, i joined to help them survive, it is a odd concept considering their own actions and those of my own. But know that if i kill it is only when that is what is best in the end. And i do not, nor do i ever, take pleasure in knowing i had caused the death of those that did not deserve it."

Tålamod nodded, not exactly in agreement but out of respect. She did believe there were people who deserved to die--the Sith, especially. There was nothing honorable about them, and she would do her part to eliminate their murderous filth for the good of the people of the grand Republic.

But what was to become of Alexandra? Her anger towards the woman had completely subsided, and even though she still believed her to be serving a just imprisonment, the punishment she would receive was undoubtedly undue. "Have they told you when your trial shall begin?"

"No, though i cant really say when. Need to know basis and all concerning it though i can promise you there wont be much of a trial at all, past that of what the Jedi decide to make public of course." She crossed her hands behind her and smiled, nearly done with the healing but needed a quick rest to recuperate the last of her energy that she would need.

"I won't offer to defend you," Shapochka stated matter-of-factly, withdrawing her hands for a moment as Alexandra took a break. It was amazing what she had repaired already. And though both of the women's views did not entirely line up, the naval officer had discovered a respect for this person despite what crimes she had commited. "But I will stand as character witness if you will. You deserve that honor."

"Do not worry about speaking for me, i have no need of such nor do i regret anything they so choose for me, i am as guilty as the Jedi and the Republic determine. You see i have no need to change my fate as fate is just that, unalterable. Perhaps i am suppose to accept what ever it is that is chosen for me, or fight it, but if i do i will be the one doing the fighting."

"Anything can be changed. Everything could be changed if you do all you can." Tålamod glanced into Alexandra's eyes. What color they were, she could not tell. They were of a lighter shade of gray to her colorblind eyes, and she supposed they might be blue like her own. "That is what my mother told me. That is why I am in a position of command--I never believed I could not change a situation. I can save lives..." She trailed off, noting her own knife on the floor a few meters away. "Or I could have sacrificed them.

"But you must have respect and honor. Do not let yourself dishonored. You can change it. You have changed me from killing you already."

"Because i knew my death would not happen today, i merely did as fate commanded me to. The force told me that my time was not over, it told me if i spoke its truth i would be safe. The Truth. You see miss, the force is something that i follow and that follows me, we trade advice and knowledge as i have found a way to speak to the thing that the Sith believe are a tool and the Jedi believe are a god... i know it is neither, i know that it is as it is, a living being like me and you."

[member="Tålamod Shapochka"]

"I see the Force," Tålamod informed--at least, she had been told it was the Force by her Miralukan mother. "It does not tell me what to do or what will come." She furrowed her brow, contemplating why anyone would believe what Alexandra held tightly to.

"What is remembered when you die is your honor. That is why I fight the wars. They will remember you for the good you did when others destroy. Everything can be changed."

"I wont die, not this month, once more i have asked the force of my fate and it has delivered to me bits and pieces, i will die by the blade, not by imprisonment... my time is not over, and even if i am frozen in carbonite of locked away, i will not die there, i will die in battle on a world far from a Jedi Temple."

[member="Tålamod Shapochka"]

All of that was surely impossible to know, and Tålamod could not help but betray the disbelief washing across her face. Rational people do not believe in such fortune-telling. She was certain that Alexandra would rot in jail until the end of her days. "Believe that if you like. And hope the Jedi believe that as well. I have tried to help."

"You misunderstand, what i have seen is true and what is lain out will happen. What the Jedi will do to me will happen but what comes after is clouded with uncertainty, i have been the force's friend and as long as i can speak to it i will forever do so and it will tell me when my peace is to be made... the problem is simple though, because of what is to happen i will no longer be able to talk to it which is why the future is clouded."

[member="Tålamod Shapochka"]

"The Force never changes for me." She looked down at her hands. "It does not tell me I will hurt myself, or that my family will die in the Sith attack. If it did, I would stop it. I would change it. Nothing is certain before it happens.

"But you are right. You will die... I will die." She shook her head, wondering how anyone could be content with death.

"It doesn't tell me where, or when, only how. And that is all that i need to know beyond the end of my days. The force never paints a full painting, only a focal point, in the form of Intuition and foresight. There are those, like Darth Isolda that bend this power to their will, letting them see the future at will... but they corrupt and scar the force, they harm it and i cant do anything to help it... it pains me."

[member="Tålamod Shapochka"]

"See! It can be changed, if you believe this 'Darth Isolda'." She pressed against her palms to dam a surge of blood. This woman seemed content with her 'fate' and there was nothing more Shapochka could do to convince her otherwise. "The greatest sin is complacence. My father was wise," was all she said.

"Its not Complacence. As i said the events of today will not bring about my death, the events of the Jedi's choosing will not do so either. And what Darth Isolda does is just as bad as bringing the dead to life and causing Genocide, as it is living just as you and i do Miss.... im sorry that i cant quite tell you what you want to hear."
