SPECIAL FEATURES
- Mount port with retractable cap.
- Scomp-link micro adapter for standardized interfacing.
- Encrypted neuro-co-processor with software and air-sealed, isolated mode.
- Direct flight and control link for starfighter or speeder piloting assistance.
- Holo HUD projection with visors and optics, including telemetry movement overlay.
- EMP hardening, an agrinium mesh, an ion buffer to reduce ionic/EMP disruption, and a built-in surge arrestor.
- Failsafe disconnect and anaesthetic micro-injector to prevent neural feedback burns.
- Tamper alarm and biometric lock keyed to user biosignature.
- Inbuilt firewalls to prevent malicious data or code, usually backed up by the users' own software or hardware.
- Lightning Fast: Direct neural feed for slicing, data upload or download, drone piloting, and precise vehicle control.
- Versatility: A native dataport and scomp adapter expand compatibility across usual galactic tech, notably for droid use.
- Resistant: Hardened against ion/EMP, with ion buffers and layered surge protection for continued operation in hostile environments. Unlike most tech, given its sensitive nature, this is very well designed to resist such hazards.
- Remote Vulnerability: A physical jack can be exploited with forced data injection if firewalls are breached by skilled slicers or AI's. This is not easy and risks the same happening to the attacker; most users have multiple failsafes.
- Competency: Poor installations, black market modifications, or overclocking may cause seizures, sensory interference, psychological damage, and/or neural scars. This needs competent medical and mechanical maintenance and updates.
- Capture Vulnerability: Despite being tamper-proof, if captured and given time, someone with a neural jack is vulnerable to direct interfacing, allowing the jailor to coerce, inject code or data straight into the individual.
Blackline Dynamics is known for blurring the line between legality and ethical use of technology. So it came as no surprise to anyone when they updated the outdated neural jack, and even less surprise that on Echelon and parts of Denon, it has been embraced by these cultures on mass, especially those deep into the duality of their digital lives. There are as many Black Market rip-offs or copycat products as there are bad Holopet designs. The Blackjack-01 Neural Jack is a cranial, side-neck, or wrist jack designed as a multi-role tool for anyone who interfaces with droids, vehicles, or other machines, as well as large tools and networks. Users range from engineers and pilots to slicers and tech junkies—anyone who wants precision, improved reflexes, or large volumes of data moved quickly. It routes biofiber to a small co-processor that translates cortical and nerve intent into machine code. Faster near the neck, others prefer the very marginally slower wrist mounting; the Scomp-link allows the user to speak fluent binary and to ship systems, while an isolated mode permits secure, air-sealed analysis of potentially hostile data. Agrinium mesh and surge arrestors keep the brain behind it safe from ionic and EMP spikes. When everything sings the right code, the Blackjack reduces perceived lag to less than a whisper, letting a pilot find safe flak corridors or a slicer move inside firewalls like a thought. Abuse, like all things, carries consequences: Reckless overclocking or black-market installs can cook nerves, fry psyches, or leave the senses confused, and in the hands of interrogators or a skilled slicer / AI going against you, the exposed port is another avenue for pain, coercion, or worse for the wearer. For those who accept the risk, it is a quick blade that cuts both ways.
