In 902 ABY, the planet Ka'thaa'rahn found itself facing schism and stellar calamity. Interests from many governments and factions converged on the doomed planet to exploit or save its people and resources. They did so over the violent protest of the planet's fanatical cyborg warrior-philosopher caste, the Ka'dyraal, centred on their impregnable mountain fortress of Thaal'quorr.
A Black Sun vigo and used ship dealer named Jerec Asyr decided that the Ka'dyraal and their fortress were a feature, not a bug. A large team of unmarked, Black Sun-affiliated freighters hurried through the chaos in orbit and took up positions around the fortress, both on the air and on the ground. Each ship was carrying a Ganker Limpet. As Ka'dyraal forces pushed outward from defensive positions to attack, the Black Sun ships triggered the Limpets and threw the entire mountain (fortress included) into hyperspace.
Doing so inside a planet's gravity well induced severe turbulence that ripped away much of the mountain's base and a portion of its defenders. Absent atmosphere, the Ka'dyraal faced stark choices: sign...disadvantageous employment contracts, or suffocate righteously. Both courses had many followers.
Having brought space suits, Black Sun then cheerfully looted the sacred xenofascist fortress, restored it to realspace, and turned it into a shadowport.
There being an abundance of rock around, all members of the Black Sun theft crew were immortalized in statuary, including but not limited to statues of
