Syndicates were not governments by any means, but there were enough similarities between the two that Velzari could forgive the conflation. One of these similarities was the need for well-armed, loyal soldiers; where governments like the Alliance and Republic were 'defending justice,' Black Sun was defending its profitable assets. He thought of a recent venture on Tatooine that could use such protection...

"Those walkers," the Underlord said. "would be most beneficial to our operations in the Mara Corridor. Can the Guild procure six of them for Black Sun?"

His eyes drifted back to Thane Thane as a smirk formed on his face. Velzari noticed the Trade Federation insignia on the man’s uniform and wondered if the Viceroy would try punishing Black Sun for its after-market purchases, or find it preferable for the syndicate to acquire Federation assets over common pirates.

Zunn leaned back in his hovering seat, wings buzzing faintly as he brought the death-stick to his lips once more. He let the silence hang, as the Trandoshan Hakar Scaleback Hakar Scaleback and The Madclaw The Madclaw 's tussle with one another provided much needed entertainment for the pair.

The Underlord wanted six walkers, not a small order by any means but not beyond the Guild's ability to deliver especially not for a client as well-connected and lucratively inclined.

The Mara Corridor was free from the interference of the Galactic Powers so the shipment would arrive quite quickly. The Toydarian exhaled another plume of smoke towards the ceiling and redirected his fingers to the datapad as he began to modify the figures like a well-seasoned salesman.

"Six Shield Generator Walkers, fully operational, recently serviced, and prepared for transport on a discreet bulk freighter," Zunn stated with a confident smile, leaving the datapad on the table for now as his paranoia at the two people watching them in Thane Thane and Atius Hanno Atius Hanno grew ever so slightly.

It was only a matter of time before they moved into action and the Toydarian was not keen on waiting around to find out.

"Since that is taken care of, Great Prince. I will allow others to keep you company for the time being while I provide my services to other clientele nearby." He adjusted his position in the seat before offering a slow bow in respect, his wings fluttering away from the Underlord's box towards other patrons within the room.

Objective 1
FIGHT-CLUB

The giant lizard pivoted at the last second, causing Rostam's blade to strike her pauldron instead of the forearm. She seemed to realize he was far faster than expected and immediately shifted to a defensive stance. Smart, she understood his speed was his greatest advantage. That meant she wasn't just another brute.

De'Veen's shift to a defensive posture still meant Rostam held the advantage. Now, he could control the pace and tempo of the fight. The moment her arms moved to guard, the assassin closed in. He raised his left vambrace above shoulder level, and a projected energy shield flared to life, intercepting her weapons mid-swing. Strong enough to withstand physical strikes, the shield would prove difficult for De'Veen to break through. Her blows, no matter how powerful, would struggle to bludgeon past its radiant barrier.

Now Rostam was on the offensive. He drove the wide-profile energy shield forward, pressing it against all four of De'Veen's electro-blades, forcing them back with brute pressure and precision. At the same moment, his right arm snapped forward, striking with the plasma pike. The thrust was swift and surgical, aimed directly at her lower abdomen. The pike's energized tip crackled with arcing electricity, its charge flaring violently as it drove in with lethal intent.

Fett’s knee slammed into Tuchanka’s abdomen with a fleshy thud that drew a cacophony of ooh’s from the crowd. It was forceful enough to make a weaker creature drop to their knees, the Trandoshan’s thick musculature and high pain tolerance helped absorb the worst of the blow.

She twisted sharply, snapping her clawed hand upward, aiming for the underside of Trajan’s helmet.

I know exactly what fear sssmells like,” Tuchanka growled. Her taunt was saturated with conviction, whether the Mandalorian believed her or not.

You will know what it sssmells like, too… when you bleed it.”

At the mention of the pair's allegiance to the Trade Federation, he lofted a brow. Sure, now they weren't hiding but they'd certainly arrived here with the upmost subtly. His own vessel having been concealed with experimental Imperial cloaking technology. He nodded- curious of what might've caused a prod in his activity. His former alignment with the Security Bureau immediately dragging his thoughts down into concerns of OPSEC, data breaches and lingering moles.

Not that any of it conveyed in his expression. "Well, heh, I'm most certain you'd find the Trade Federation most amicable to the prospect. Many have had their vessels commissioned by the array of premier manufacturers within our organization." He said, offering a smile before his crimson gaze shifted past the man to the Falleen and how the Toydarian had concluded his business with him. He grit his teeth under his lips for a moment before his gaze was redirected back to Zahran.

He then opened his coat, reaching into its pocket to produce a small datapad, quickly pressing into the biometric authenticator before he handed it to Atius. "If you would, Mister Hanno. Take down this man's contact information and any of the design specifications he has for his vessel. We'll pass it along to the Techno Union or any other prospective Trade Federation manufacturer willing to take the commission." He said before he stood up from his seat, smoothing a hand over his coat.

"It is terribly improvident of me to leave our discussion so abruptly but I'm afraid I have a client to meet with." He said, easing out of the booth with a pat of the hand on Khaldun's shoulder. A show of good will as he strode toward the Underboss's table.

Two Black Sun Enforcers were quick to bar his closeness, a firm hand pressed against his chest to halt his approach.

"Stay back, Chiss..." He said to which the man's crimson eyes flicked to the helmeted Falleen.

"Oh? Well...that would be a shame." He said, reaching into his coat pocket again, producing a Trade Federation identification card.

"I assure you that your 'boss' would very much so like to speak with me. I won't take too much of his time." Whether the sentry's resolve broke or the Underboss urged them to stand down, the Chiss would approach and sit across from him.

"Mister Tharn is it? Greth'an'esturuo, though for expediency sake, Thane works just as well. I come in representation of an organization that I'm sure you and your syndicate is well aware of."
He said, the Trade Federation need no introduction by now. At least not to a man in the business of smuggling and piracy.

"Be assured though, Mister Tharn- I've not come here to chide you over the illicit and illegal acts your syndicate may very well have done in concern to Trade Federation Customs Authority...no, more so...to establish a working relationship between our respective organizations. Before I tread any further or run the risk of wasting both of our time...is this a venture of which you'd be curious in exploring? Or rather...keep the dynamic to petty raids in systems where hopefully a Lucrehulk isn't. What I've come to offer, you'll find, is far more providential on behalf of both the Trade Federation and the Black Sun Syndicate."
He explained, his posture straight and his voice eloquent yet firm, as if trained and tempered in courtly politics.

"Your name?" The words were uttered with stale corporate tone, a bored one at that. Zahran could immediately glean several facts from the mere two words spoken, the body language presented, and the profile of the man in front of him. He wasn't exactly subtle. Atius Hanno is a warrior, a romanticist of the art if the term was appropriate. To act as an attache for dealmaking was certainly low on his priority list, but immediately it becomes clear that some kind of loyalty binds him to this mundane tasking anyway.

Still, the abrupt arrival of two Black Sun enforcers to obstruct Thane's path provoked a nasty instinct. In an instant, the false mandalorian's vambrace lit up, the eyes beneath the faceless helm tracking both targets like a predating animal. No blaster? He didn't need one, and in many ways he preferred the challenge.

When it became clear the two posed little threat, the brief raise in tension subsided for Thane's assistant, who then turned his attention back to Zahran,

"Your name?"

He swiped his forearm for his chin, tucking the helmet down against his chest to slip away from a more gruesome fate as the Trandoshan's claws sank into his arm, ripping through the armorweave and digging into the flesh with a harsh tear that made for a spittle of crimson from his flesh. He grit his teeth in pain, the adrenaline coursing through him otherwise enough to power through the strike as he closed the gap to snatch at the side of her neck with a firm clasp before he reared his head back and slammed it forward toward her temple to deliver a Keldabe kiss.

Successful or not, he'd swipe his leg toward her own to throw her from her footing into the bloodied sands beneath.

If she was thrown into the sands beneath, he'd be quick to move for a rear mount of the Trandoshan, getting control of her arms being his sole aim in the hopes of overpowering her. <"Keep talking...the holocams love the drama...and they'll love it more when I skin you alive."> An unhinged threat. One intentionally postured, conveying that he didn't care of the 'rules'. He had no restraint in killing her and no fear of the repercussion.

Prince Velzari,” the Falleen Underlord corrected with a forgiving smile. He didn’t doubt that Thane truly represented the Trade Federation, but it was certainly noteworthy that he could prove such a station with an identicard.

Velzari waved Thane through, a gesture that wordlessly instructed the Black Sun Guard to step aside and allow the Chiss a seat at their lord’s table.

My curiosity is always peaked,” he said with a smirk. “But it’s lucrative arrangements that truly satisfy me. Is that what the Trade Federation is offering?

It wouldn’t be hard for Black Sun to honor Thane’s request, even if he was simply making small talk; dodging Federation systems was an easy arrangement, one made even easier considering the expansion of the CIS - who everyone knew the Viceroy was a patron of. Velzari had his own list of contacts within the Confederacy; he thought of Speaker Xazzex Xivar Xazzex Xivar who he was due to meet with soon on their shared homeworld.

Tell me how Black Sun may be of service to the Viceroy, and I’ll tell you what we can do… and what it might cost.

Nothing was free, after all. But Black Sun didn’t have to be paid exclusively in credits. Contraband, exclusive trade deals, uncontested mining rights, and a blind eye turned to its growing slave ring in the Mara Corridor were all adequate payments for whatever services the syndicate might render for the Trade Federation.

Having put some distance between herself and the brawling Trandoshan and Wookiee, Kinley quickly scanned the cantina for any promising buyers. Below, the clash in the fight pits continued to draw a noisy crowd, but she barely spared it a glance—whoever was winning didn't matter to her. After one last sweep of the room, she decided not to waste more time. There were other cantinas, other credits to chase. She had merchandise to move, a boss to keep happy, and time was a luxury she couldn't afford.

Tuchanka's move on Fett's helmet was met with a brutal headbutt that rattled her skull, dazing her. She tore her claws free from the man's arm, bringing a hand up to nurse the impact on her temple. That was when the Mandalorian's well-timed sweep came, breaking Tuchanka's stance and dropping her to the sandy floor. In moments, he was on her back, pulling her arms at difficult angles to restrain her.

She huffed a laugh through labored breathing at his threat.

"You can try," she growled. She braced herself against his weight and pushed her legs to stand, lifting Fett from the ground with the intent of falling backwards against the nearby wall. If she couldn't loose his hold on her arms, she'd try to crush him between her muscular body and the sandstone.

Objective Two

"There's no need for apologies," Zahran said as Thane stood. As the Chiss departed, Zahran's gaze shifted to Mister Hanno, who proceeded to ask his name twice. A faint laugh escaped his lips at the repetition.

"Zahran Khaldun," he replied, maintaining social etiquette.

He pulled a large data chip from his coat pocket and slid it across the table to Mister Hanno.

"All the ship's specifications, technical details, and expectations are included, along with payment arrangements," Zahran said as he rose from his seat. "Good day, Mister Hanno. I believe our business is concluded."

Zahran returned to his men and spoke with them briefly. They asked how the meeting had gone, and he, with some disappointment, informed them that the commission had not yet been formally accepted. For now, they would have to continue operating in retrofitted Hutt ships. Patience would be required. The Black Sun Underlord was likely occupied with other matters, and Zahran intended to speak with him directly when the man had a moment to spare.

He ordered a whiskey and glanced over to see how the fights were progressing, killing some time before choosing to approach Prince Tharn's guards.

But kept on the Trandoshan with a full mount, a sterist jabbing into her face, once, twice and a third time before she managed to force him off. She lurched forward to rake her claws into his gut only for his hand to snatch her wrist, pulling the arm toward him and slamming a knee into her abdomen when she'd closed the gap.

An arm reached up under her own, grasping at the reptillian skull with his gloved hand to keep her in a clinch before he reeled back his beskar helmet again, slamming into her temple with another harsh Keldabe kiss which sent a splatter of blood before the Trandoshan fell to the sand unconscious.

"OOOoooooh! And the victory goes to the Mandalorian by knockout! An incredible bout by both fighters. Not every day you get to see a Mando and a Trandoshan go fists up in the ring. Usually Mandos prefer to keep away from their kind." The announcer said to an uproar of cheers for those who'd won their bets and a bitter sneer among the equal half who'd lost their parlay. A pair of Pit Dogs came to collect the Trandoshan to whisk her off to be treated as Fett stepped back into the cage which lifted him out of the ring.

"Hell of a match Mando, you all g-" The pit dog who'd sent him down into the ring began to speak only for an index finger to press against his cheek.

<"Armor. Pass it over."> He said, nodding with a prod of fear through him before he motioned to one of the guards who presented the Beskar plates on a table between them. Not a piece missing or tampered with. He suited himself up before a credit chit was slid his way.

A hell of a way to announce his services were on the open market once more.

[ NOTE : Me and Patton agreed on a dice roll to finish this off AS SEEN, Trajan won. ]

A man who was quick to get to business and lend an ear. One of the preferred sorts for Thane to deal with, not caring to play the mental games of garnishing with food and fine liquors or any other social engineering means to sweeten the deal. Thane nodded with a smile that thrummed with professionalism as much as it did the nature of corporate scheming.

"Of course, Prince Velzari." He said in accommodation of the man's title. As much as it was standard operating procedure of the Trade Federation to refer to both one another as well those in business dealings simply as 'mister' or 'missus'. It was a means of establishing basic professionalism whilst removing matters from the political into the purely financial realm. Though, of course, deviations could be made in the interest of a more 'ideal' result.

"Though, I'm sure you'll find our arrangement as lucrative as it is accomodating. It is no secret, at least for our personnel who keep the analytics of underworld activity thoroughly catalogued that Black Sun has been rapidly expanding its operations. Though, of course, that spells trouble for the Trade Federation, an organization which operates in the business of customs authority, resource extraction, product manufacturing and backwater policing. All of which grounds for exploitation for a potent crime syndicate much akin to the one you captain...hence, the Trade Federation would rather see our dynamic be one of profit than bloodshed and piracy." He iterated before a glass of water was placed down in front of him, the Chiss taking a slow sip of it before he set it down.

"To place things in simple terms...in order to maintain such an ambitious, criminal enterprise...no doubt you will need the means to facilitate your operations. Blasters, starships, vehicles...all of which, the Trade Federation and its subsidiaries manufacture in bulk quantities at an unmatched quality." He stated, as if matter-of-fact rather than a boisterous sales pitch.

"Thus...Mister Tambor wishes to come to an arrangement where the Trade Federation is willing to sell to the Black Sun via...clandestine channels and in return, the Black Sun doesn't interfere with the operations of the Trade Federation." He offered, smoothing a hand along his coat.

"I will be acting as intermediary between yourself and Mister Tambor. The illicit funds of the Black Sun would be transferred into investment accounts managed by Esturuo Holdings Corporation at which point, the credits would be laundered and liquidated into the desired products which would be dead dropped at a myriad of secure planets, space stations and drive yards under the surveil of the Trade Federation." Thane explained.

"All serial numbers would be sanitized, all clearance codes, registrations and activity logs would be under the names of various shell corporations to ensure my organization's security under the unfortunate circumstance that any of these products come under the seizure of official authorites. The Galactic Alliance, Sith Order and so on...if this arrangement sounds appealing, the thorough details can be discussed among those of our organizations to whom it is most relevant." Thane suggested.

Atius certainly conveyed no humor in his reaction to Zahran's laugh. Still, he wasn't altogether unfriendly, a strict professional. He made a mental note of the name and extended his hand to grab the data chip.

"Mm. I believe so. Enjoy the fights."

The large figure stood from his own seat, sliding the data chip into his belt. With two long strides he had caught up to his employer, his eyes taking stock of who had decided to participate in the meeting. Thane's words caught his attention, and he found himself listening to the exchange rather than falling into his general defensive paranoia. He had nothing to offer to the conversation, his eyes darting between the Prince's men to watch for any subversions.

The Underlord grinned widely, his polished teeth standing out against the deep olive hue of his skin.

"Black Sun would be most interested in the partnership that you describe," he said. "Weapons, vehicles, ships, all in exchange for Black Sun's assurances that the Trade Federation shall not be targeted by our operations. It is an easy arrangement to agree to." Velzari polished off the last of his drink, and when the barmaid came to offer a replenishment, he waved her away with his manicured claws.

"I shall soon take my leave of Reuss VIII and make haste for Falleen - I've an important meeting on the homeworld, you see. A mutual friend," the Underlord added with a wry smile, referring to Speak Xivar of the Confederacy, no doubt a well-known acquaintance with the Trade Federation. "Perhaps sooner, rather than later, we can meet again. If you are to be the envoy between my organization and that of Viceroy Tambor's, we should get to know one another a bit better."

Velzari slid a small data disk containing a set of coordinates over to Thane, nodding slightly as it moved over the table. "This is the safehouse where I will be in two weeks time. I trust a trip to Boz Pity is within the means of the Trade Federation?" He would be on the boneyard planet to handle the absorption of another criminal enterprise, the Crimson Dawn. A meeting with Thayne Tameron Thayne Tameron would occur on the Dawn's home turf, an arcology located not far from the tribal tombs that gave Boz Pity its mysterious aura. Meeting the Federation liaison would make an already lucrative trip that much more so, if the Chiss could make a meeting happen.
