  • Intent: A Black Sun Vigo to oversee operations in the Kastolar sector
  • Role: Chaac is, in every sense of the word, an insane pyromaniac who excels at making a wide variety of bombs and other explosive devices for Black Sun. He's a Vigo in the Black Sun syndicate who maintains control over the Kastolar sector.

  • Age: Early 30s
  • Force Sensitivity: Non-Force User
  • Species: Chadra-Fan
  • Appearance: Chaac is a male Chadra-Fan with greyish-brown fur, black eyes, and a pair of rodent-like front teeth. His most surprising feature is a cybernetic left hand that reaches up to the elbow, a parting gift from a thermal imploder with crossed wires. Chaac prefers to wear typical spacer clothing, preferring Corellian-made garments on account of their durability and excessive number of pockets.

  • Name:
    • T'achaack (Chadra-Fan name)
    • Chaac (Basic name)
    • Doctor Boom
  • Loyalties:
  • Wealth: Chaac is a moderately wealthy individual, based on his appearance and extracurricular pursuits; after all, bombmaking is not a frugal man's hobby. Much of his wealth comes by way of Black Sun jobs, for which he is often contracted to outfit on account of his explosive proclivities.
  • Notable Possessions:
  • Skills: Chaac is a bombmaker by trade and possesses a variety of skills related to his field. He has excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. His knowledge of chemicals, elements, and the reactions they have with one another is borderline scientific. He's handy with a fusioncutter and can make minor repairs to a variety of electronic or mechanical devices. Chaac was briefly a smuggler in Wild Space, where he picked up some piloting skills and knowledge of local smuggling rings. He now utilizes that information to make running supplies to his workshops in the Kastolar sector an easy venture.
  • Languages:
  • Personality: Chaac is often described as unpredictable and, unironically, explosive. He is incredibly excitable and enjoys seeing carnage. His underlings are often unsure of how to approach him, as his mood is nearly as volatile as his inventions. Those who are close to Chaac, however, would describe him as passionate about his craft. He is loyal to Black Sun, though the promise of credits and a chance to blow things up is very alluring.

  • Weapon of Choice:
  • Combat Function: Chaac's approach to combat is to pepper his targets with a barrage of explosives, leaving barely enough behind to confirm a bounty when he's done. He prefers grenades and thrown explosives to those that must be placed and remotely detonated, but he is skilled with both. When a lighter touch is required, however, his trusty Relby-v10 has a blaster setting that he is more than happy to use to keep enemies at a distance.
  • Force Abilities (Force Users Only): n/a

  • Boommeister: Chaac is a master of explosives and is able to tailor his designs to nearly any job or target. His working knowledge of bombmaking would put Chaac at the top of any military's hiring list, were he not burdened with a pesky - and lengthy - rap sheet.
  • Loyal to a Fault: Once given respect and the freedom to invent, Chaac forms fierce loyalty toward his allies. He is unlikely to fold or flip against his employers, especially those who appreciate his talents.
  • Unpredictable Genius: Chaac's unorthodox designs defy standards used by galactic militaries, making his weapons incredibly difficult to defuse. Inaccurate timers, wires that are the same color, and a hodge-podge of different proprietary components are typical for Chaac's ordiance.

  • Fun Size Demon: Despite his insatiable desire to torch the galaxy, Chaac cannot escape his physical limitations. His small size is a detriment when he is faced with combatants up close and personal.
  • Paranoid: On his good days, Chaac knows that Black Sun enjoys his skills more than they could ever want him dead, but the fear of betrayal creeps back in when things are not going as planned with the syndicate. Chaac's been known to suspect his underlings of treachery. He's booby-trapped his own workshops on multiple occasions.
  • Temperamental: Chaac is prone to emotional outbursts and impulsive decisions, especially when put under pressure or given strict timelines with little to no heads-up. Only a strong drink, a juicy Klatooine paddy frog, or a large explosion can calm him down when he's off the rails.

Very little is known about Chaac's early years as a fanling, and he is never keen on revealing more than short anecdotes at a times. What is known is that he served as an engineer for the New Imperial Order for a time, developing ordinance packages for the Stormtrooper Corps. His work saw him transferred between dozens of Imperial facilities and depots across the Outer Rim, a lifestyle that many would consider rough but one that Chaac claims to have enjoyed. When the NIO's power structure began to crumble and its dominion waned, Chaac managed to slip through the cracks. As an Imperial asset working freelance while still drawing a paycheck from his unsuspecting higher-ups, he drifted between official Imperial projects and side jobs for the growing number of independent warlords in the Outer Rim.

He eventually wound up under extended employment by a warlord based on Ringo Vinda, where he produced baradium charges as the facility's chief weapons engineer. His loyalty was repaid with treachery, however, when he discovered a plot within the ranks to sabotage the project. His superiors attempted to silence him, which was met with a sabotage of his own: Chaac rigged the baradium stockpile to detonate, reducing the Imperial facility to a smoldering, radioactive crater before vanishing into the Outer Rim.

Even those in Chaac's inner circle believed him to be dead, vaporized in the explosion that many post-Imperials concluded was a horrible accident. He spent some time working as an anonymous scrapper for the Miyuki Trade League, a salvage and trade guild specializing in repurposing Imperial technology. It wasn't until around 900 ABY that Chaac would resurface, empowered and protected by employment with the Black Sun crime syndicate. The organization offered him promises of freedom, chaos, and endless resources to tinker with, all at the low cost of providing Black Sun with enough ordinance to wreak havoc on its enemies.

He gladly obliged.

Chaac's impressive contributions to Black Sun's arsenal played a large role in his ascension to the rank of Vigo. His underlings both fear and respect the temperamental Chadra-Fan, who now oversees Black Sun operations in the Kastolar sector. Much like his time with the NIO, Chaac migrates between several workshops throughout his territory. His largest operations are on Chalacta and Ubrikkia. He also maintains a residence on Kwenn Space Station, where he meets esteemed clients in person.
