Formally the Black Scorpion Clan, a division of assassins usurped in leadership by Mr. Ash, the Black Scorpions have gone as legit as possible by incorporating themselves as a private security firm. While they are still a paramilitary criminal organization running protection rackets, they are now a criminal paramilitary organization with a license to do so, provided through a mixture of bribery and manipulation through ash and his rather unique connections through his law firm. In general, the primary services of the firm include bodyguard, asset protection, and occasional offensive operations. However, Ash will also provide consultations and evaluations of security measures for differing levels of fees.
RATIONALE
Ash has already previously taken over the Black Scorpions, and has previous experience as a Vigo of the Black Suns. Consolidating the criminal elements around him has been a long-standing skill set. However, the real labor was legitimizing himself. After re-inventing himself as a successful lawyer and clever technician, using that quasi-legitimate money to create a security firm that specializes in "high-risk consultations" was simply a matter of bribing the right planetary governor and forging a few licenses here and there.
While Ash is still a partner at his relatively successful law firm, he tends to prefer a more hands-on role in the administration of the Black Scorpions, putting his centuries of combat and tactical experience to good use. While he will dispatch other units on sorties, he will also sometimes come along as field commander for especially high-risk missions that need his personal guidance on matters. In general, Ash has always had a private army--he's just renting it out nowadays.
