Hahaha yes something less deadly if they could manage it and she was working over some of the things as the padawans were doing it. The tome was made for one purpose and one purpose to see what was in the world should they need it. "Yes let us go and find some of the less deadly things." She didn't know what that was but the building looked big and official like. There was even maybe a flagpole... maybe it was hard to tell sticking out but she saw the wires you would use. "Maybe a flagpole?" Showing her face a little iffy while walking towards the building she could see more of it and the windows were covered in plates of metal like a screen as she touched them. Still hot from the sun but cooling while she tried to find the door and look in just in case.

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel enjoyed her Master’s company and also her daughters. It was odd, as she rarely saw them as related — and instead saw them as two individuals, but from time to time would relate tone as part of the parent-child relationship. And it was more-so with Orihime.

“Flagpoles are typically less deadly,” Sorel joked. “Unless you’re hanged from one I guess.”

She followed her friend to the next building. “Is the metal to reflect the rays of the sun or for protection do you think?”

She was looking at it and thinking about it, reflecting the sun would be helpful it made everything hot, caused skin to get burnt if you weren't careful and above all could blind you if it was being reflective. "Maybe for protection or maybe it is a way to tell that no one is home." She was going over some of it though and getting the door opened there was that stink of stale air with cobwebs in large numbers around the inside. It looked strange at first until she turned on the glow rod and held it in her hand to look around. The darker lobby led to some glass panes and some stairs, a desk for reception she was guessing and she could see nothing up the stairs while taking out a couple extra lights. They might never need to be recharged but making a path was a nice thing whiie she set up to high and left it on the floor painting the room in pale green light. Another one to paint it blue fromt he reception desk as she was looking over it.

Sometimes you explored and never truly understood what the clues were telling you. Perhaps the metal was going to be one of those things. Not that she was entirely worried about that, they were here to search and no doubt would find things they could explain as much as they would be stumped.

She followed Orihime as they explored. Sorel was typically a loner — certainly until recently — and so tended to either do her own thing or fall into the role of follower. She was quite content for her friend to lead the way and she could chip in as and when she could. “Any idea what this building was for?” she asked, having no ideas of her own.

She was looking at her and wasn't certain what the building was for but if it was here in what seemed the more business district it should be important... her guess at least. The lack of what seemed like houses or places people would live helped while she ascended the stairs seeing some posters that seemed more inclined towards motivational with animals or humanoids.standing together. She couldn't make out a lot of features but they seemed normal... mostly a little tanned with finer features but the jungles and landscapes looked amazing. "Pretty, like on the islands." She left a few markers so guide the way around and one on the staircase to illuminate it climbing up. More desks and a statue at the end that looked like a cragmaloid but with more arms.

Sorel kept looking for clues but struggled to find any. She was OK with ancient Jedi temples but the more urban environments were more challenging for her.

It wasn’t that she wasn’t observant — she saw the same things as Orihime; the posters that showed animals and humanoids. And she took in the jungles and landscapes. And there were more statues yet nothing spoke to her.

“Am I looking in the wrong places? I’m not getting any vibes.”

Looking at her as she shrugged. "I am not getting anything either it is very quiet and sterile." She was looking over a lot of the things there searching for anything they might be able to use to identify the planet or just things. Never know but if the statue was anything to look at she wasn't certain. "This place is just still like someone put everyone to sleep and it is waiting for them to wake up." She moved crouching down while she put the light on the statue. "It looks like a cragmaloid but the arms are well there are to many of them." She pointed but wasn't certain while looking over a few of the other things. The old fountain was filled with water covered in slime and a film touching it for a moment. "You see anything interesting."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel looked at the fountain that Orihime was touching. "There's interesting and then there's useful. That water for instance. I'm sure a biologist would be very interested to know what that slime was. I'm sure it has many properties that would prove of interest to science. But for me?" She pulled a face. "Of zero interest."

She glanced about. "I guess I'm looking for something useful for me, or at least the average Jedi." With that, she continued to rummage about and look for something helpful.

She looked at her with a face and gave a nod. "it might not be of interest but who knows... what if the water developed sentience and started to kill everyone on the planet in a sinister plot? Or there could have been something mundane happening that led to the disappearance of all the people." She said it with a grin on her face though while looking still but going towards the windows to open them up. The sound of metal scraping before the sunlight came in going into the back offices. "We could find anything searching the worlds." She rubbed her hands together with a bow of her head picking up some of the small pamplet like pieces they had while she was trying to read it or figure things out. "This looks like a map to the city and this might be a school." She was looking at it and there was several building in a section of it. "That might be a sports arena and those were in some schools, schools have alphabets for teaching."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel listened intently. Part of her wanted to laugh out loud but wasn’t entirely sure if Orihime was being serious or not. After all, it was entirely possible. Even of the sentient part was slightly far-fetched.

“I’m not sure about mundane. Not to wipe out a whole planet.”

But she perked up at the thought of this being a school. As a Jedi, she’d been in education her entire life — but had never been to a mainstream school. “What do they learn? Non-Force Users I mean. Is it like being at the Academy do you think?”

She looked at Sorel and thought about it for a moment. "Ahh" Her finger moved to tap her chin with a look on her face while she was going over some of the things. "I do not know, I was born in a jedi temple and raised in the temple. I've mostly only known force users." She held her hands up though ready to go and try to find the school for the things they could do in the city also. "it looks like there might be a chance to learn something else as well. Who knows maybe the normal students like have secret parties or get all this cool stuff we don't in the temples." She was guessing and going over some of the things with her finger while looking at the map to find the building. "Alright we go out onto the street and head north along the wash until we find a wall with some buildings behind it. That is the far corner and we can get onto it."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel thought on Orihime’s words.

“I was raised like you but spent a couple of years roaming the galaxy. I met a lot of people that weren’t Force Users, but didn’t visit any schools. Mostly I met criminals or refugees. I was either chasing down wrong-doers or helping those in need keep the wrong-doers from the door. That and making sure they didn’t starve and received whatever medicines they needed. But that doesn’t really constitute normal living does it? Sometimes I think those that join the Order later in their life to have a huge advantage in terms of understanding how life works outside of a Jedi temple.”

She shrugged and then smiled. “Maybe that’s a little deep for now, eh? Anyway, I like you plan, let’s go for it.”

[member="Sorel Crieff"]

"Maybe a little but well it doesn't mean it isn't wrong." She was thinking about it and well coming later to the jedi meant you learned how to survive and live without the force but it also meant you might not have the skills like children in the temple learn... but she also knew that she might not really be that useful without all of her force based training. It was a tricky things to work and deal with as she was testing some of the things. A smile on her face at the plan while she led the way leaving the lights just in case when she came out of the doors setting their course. "I don't know how I would function outside of the jedi order. it is all I have known for as long as i can remember back. My parents were jedi masters, my sisters are all padawans and all of my friends well most at least are all jedi since I rarely try to work with the dark jedi."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel listened to her friend. “I have no family. I mean, I do, but I don’t know them. I haven’t seen them since I was little. The Jedi were my family, are my family. But the Jedi Code is all I know and I don’t think I could live without it. But then, that’s all I want. All I’ve ever wanted. To be a Jedi. To right wrongs and obey the will of the Force. Which might sound a little sad but it’s true. If I couldn’t be a Jedi, I don’t know what I’d do with my life. It means everything to me. What about you? Have you ever wished for a different life?”

Orihime looked at Sorel a little and she made a face, the scrunching of her lips and looked like she ate something sour. "Ahhh no not really though given some circumstances if I had another life it would likely be radically different." She was looking at her and moved over towards the railing looking down at all of the things while she thought about it. "My mothers were skilled in the force, jedi masters of some of the highest degrees compared to others and that isn't just building them up. Few of the jedi masters can match my mother in terms of knowledge of the general force and respect or skills within the different ways to apply it throughout the galaxy. My other mother well she was good and taught me and my sisters more then enough in just what we could do with a little know how and studying."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel reflected on Orihime’s words. “Perhaps Jedi are simply born to the role? It’s not something you choose to do, it either is the life for you or it’s not. And as for your mother, she’s not only an excellent Jedi, she’s also an awesome Master to me. I’m sure most Padawans say their Master is the best, but I’d challenge anyone to say theirs rivals mine. We learn about the Force, we explore, we study technology and the application of science. We do it all.”

She looked around. “And talking of exploring, please lead on.”

Keeping the smile off of her face as she listened to her friend about it, there was a look over some of the things. She gave a small grin while nodding her head and walking off towards the school so they could try and learn at least some of the planet. "Yes my mother is really cool most of the time. She loves trying to give a rounded experience to me, you and all of my sisters." All of the students who really listened and wanted to learn could get into it, some just wanted a quick step to kngihthood, some just wanted to have flashy abilities. She had liked the idea of getting down into the nitty gritty of it and really having some idea of how the force worked at binding all things in the galaxy together. "Alright then lets see where we are going."

There wasn't much in the way of direction but she could work with it while walking along the railing and looking over. The waters down below were so peaceful and the quiet of the city something hard to explain as the business like district gave way to more houses and streets. Some more footpaths until there were several buildings with a larger wall she moved towards. "This is it." Orihime looked up at the high wall but wasn't detered checking out the trees and stone work while she touched it and it was very warm to the touch. "Think this might work." She moved back and ran at the wall leaping while her foot came out and kicked off onto the trunk of the tree a little higher then repeated the process fast until she was sitting up on the wall. "Cool."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel had no problem having a best friend that was the daughter of her Master. Oddly she had never asked Orihime if it bothered her. Nor, she considered, had she ever broached the subject of their friendship. Did Orihime see Sorel as her best friend? Or did she simply see her as an acquaintance? Having had no real friends since she was taken as a Padawan by her former Master, she struggled to be sure of the relationship and also the etiquette of asking. So she said nothing and carried on.

Sorel was taken aback as Orihime used little more than speed, ingenuity and strength to scale the wall. Sorel used to be scolded by her former Master for only seeing problems and solutions in terms of the Force. So instead of using a Force ability, Sorel simply leaped up as high as she could, grabbed a branch and then swung herself into the tree before climbing it and soon joining Orihime on top of the wall. “Ossus had more than its fair share of trees,” she said with a grin.

Looking at her as she moved with the force and gave a nod of her head, smiling as well seeing her skill with the force as well as practical climbing up the tree. They were good as a pair maybe, a tag team of atrisian might when she stood up on the wall looking over it at. The other buildings were massive and she could feel something more in the air to. That sensation of the force like in the islands, it was just relaxing and calming more then anything else as her hands stretched out. "Ossus does have some nice trees, there weren't many on Rhen Var but Tython had a lot before it fell to the sith." She was a little sad with that but was more looking at what was on the other side of the wall and it was a large park in between the buildings while she was pointing out some areas. "It looks almost like the main gardens with the barracks around them... maybe this isn't so bad after all."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel took in the view. “Walls tend to be built for two reasons. To keep things in, or out. I wonder for which reason these were put here?”

She looked at the park and the buildings. "Barracks? Maybe this was a military installation, or perhaps the home of local royalty, with its own private army? But I’m just speculating. Until we find some facts, it’s all just imagination.”

She walked along the top of the wall until she found a tree and then climbed down it. “Come on, times ticking.”
