- Set of two devices contained paired Mindstones to allow instant, unlimited range communication between two telepathy. This forms a two point telepathic network.
- Integrated Harmonia System allows conversion of digital signal into telepathic and vice versa to allow non-telepaths to benefit from the device.
- Device can be set via a switch on the base disguised as a screw, to output as an audio signal or a telepathic signal depending on the preferences of the recipient.
- Another switch can set the device to alert the user of incoming communication either by gentle vibration and or telepathic "ping" . The telepathic ping does not require the recipient to be telepathic, only willingly receptive. The device does however need to be on the person for them to receive it and it will alert whatever person in holding it.

- Exceptionally secure - The weakest point is the connection between the Harmonia system and mindstones as the harmonia system breaches the telepathic network. But as the device is in your hand whilst using it this is a minor problem as they could just listen in. Otherwise the long distance connection between the two stones is hard to detect and break into.
- Discrete - The device just looks like a lighter so is easily mistaken for such. Furthermore, as its transmission is telepathic rather than electronic then anti-communication sensors will not detect it.
- Enormous range - Besides entering another plane of existing, the mindstones have functionally unlimited range for communication.
- Only connects to its paired device - The mindstones are created in an unbreakable pairing and the device utilises their long range telepathic connection but this means the communicator is useless outside of that direct pair.
- Limited fuel - Because of the space for the communication workings the lighter only holds about a third of the fuel a more traditional lighter might.
- Usable by any telepath - The Harmonia device has digital security which requires activation but due to the nature of the mind stones, any telepath who has the device on their person can bypass this security and connect directly with the mindstones and thus the other paired device.
- Close contact - In order to receive the telepathic outputs and alerta the user must have the device on their person. For obvious reasons the audio output can potentially be heard by anyone within close earshot.
- Force nullification - In an area where the force is cancelled or otherwise suppressed, the mindstones are unable to function, preventing communication via this method
Mairéad co-designed these devices both as a gift for a person she cares for, but as a very useful business tool to increase her effectiveness in her chosen role. Being able to communicate instantly and over vast distances is exceptionally useful for a galaxy spanning criminal and business empire. Marcella has been given one as a gift and Mairéad has the other.
The device was made to look like a lighter as both women smoke and smoking paraphernalia is often overlooked by security and due to its low profile and also lack of electronic emissions, the hope was that it would be able to remain on their persons in situations where other more conspicuous communicators might be confiscated. The stylings also look good on the sort of woman who desires a stylish appearance.
The front of the lighter spins freely appearing decorative unless light pressure is applied on one of the facets, engaging the activating mechanism underneath, of the dial is rotated while this is depressed it will activate the communicator, sending communications to the other device. This process is then reversed to deactivate it. This mechanism is intended to be a clandestine method of activation which could easily be passed off as an innocent fidget.
