While retaining the formidable hull construction traditions of Mandalorian warships, the Birikad-type sacrifices most heavy offensive armaments in favor of massive hangar capacity, reinforced defensive systems, and extensive internal flight infrastructure. Measuring one kilometer in length, the cruiser houses layered launch bays, armored recovery corridors, and internal maintenance complexes capable of sustaining two full wings of strike craft, reserve squadrons, and support vessels simultaneously. Its internal layout prioritizes rapid sortie generation, allowing Mandalorian pilots to maintain constant pressure on enemy fleets, planetary defenses, and supply lines. Though slow and ill-suited for frontline brawling, the Birikad-type is engineered to survive in hostile battlespace long enough to project overwhelming starfighter dominance.
