Biological Division

Jaster was now the Viceroy of his own Merchant Guild, along with the fall of the Fringe. Jaster was in the best posistion to build a Trading Empire. The only problem were those that didn't agree, those that would resist. Jaster public image was not something he could take a beating, as an up and coming guild, they were watched as every step was criticized. Jaster needed a force that would not be recognized as part of his guild and would only recognize Jaster as their leader.

He was a geneticist, his company had already created geneticly altered animals. Yet creating a whole species would be different and much more difficult. Animals were not truely able to communicate in vocalized manner. These creatures Jaster had in mind though much speak and understand Galactic Basic, or at least the pack leader would have to.

The creation of something big was being though of in Jasters mind.

Jaster had just received his latest purchase from the Hut Catel. A very rare speciment and something Jaster only heard in story but never seen in person. A female Gand, she was truely a different person then what he had seen in male Gands entirely. She was a feisty paitent indeed as when she saw Jaster she spit on him and seemed to smile. Jaster wasn't familiar with Gand facial features, but it was a close guess as most he could tell when a female was tring to insult him.

He invited his new Director [member="Azreal "]Commander of the Extermination Division. The direct link to all special operations that Jaster would need done. They were the answer to any and all of Jaster problems of they arose, and Jaster would only have to raise a finger for them to deal with it. He was to meet Jaster in one of the Umbrella Interest Labs located in the Umbrella Buildings on Val'hala. Jaster would have the female Grand taken for skin samples and then executed by Jasters men so she would be tested on.

Before the director was to arrive Jaster would work in the lab and start with the development of the new creature. Jaster needed a breed of sentient life that could reproduce quickly and in mass, yet was able to control this. Jaster then though of incect and their ability to tepid ice quickly in hives but never faster then they could feed. Jaster would use this and have this... Queen, breed a specific amount of other males while she would be the only queen. He then started the process that always took to create a single reconfigured living female.

It was long and difficult, but Jaster was able to do it and use his Genome Cylinder to finalize all her needed appendages. She would be able to reproduce as Umbrella Staff artificially inseminator her for controlled pregnancy.

She was still young though, Jaster would still have her age normally and live line enough to be replaced. She would of course be the month we of all Mantanites. He decided that she would always be in the care of Jaster and only close members of his inner circle, those who controlled her, controlled the species.

The next job was to wait for her to reach reproduction age and begin breeding more leadership for the species.

He stood silently by the door as Jaster dealt with the Gand, a particularly strange species. From experience he knew the Gand often differed in structure and sometimes so greatly as that most would mistake two for a different species and yet they were still classified under the one. To be in the same species (as far as Azreal knew) was to still possess the ability to mate. And yet these creatures had such variety, he wondered what the Viceroy wanted to do with them.
"You must understand Viceroy that I am not a man of the sciences, so I must inquire: Why did you call for me?"
Hopefully the man would explain things to him without the use of heavy jargon, to use it on those who clearly aren't qualified to understand was just ego inflation in his opinion.

Jaster turned from his work and to his newly appointed Director of Extermination. A title not many would like to bare and yet when Jaster first offered it to this man, he very nearly jumped at the chance. It was true, the job would be difficult, possibly even morally question what or why they were doing these missions. He seemed more then capable to do the job that he needed when the time arose.

"Ah, Director, I've asked you here to meet one of your newest assets," Jaster walked the shape shifter over to a tank chamber with green liquid inside, these was a female creature with in it. "This is 'Mother', she's to be the birth of your first command."

Jaster of course smiled, this would be his greatest creation to date, a sentient race created from the change in DNA and Chromosomes. A race of beings that would not question orders, or feel remorse, they were the ultimate killers.

Jasters next dessision was to inpregnate the 'Mother' with geneticly modified eggs and fertilize them. Jaster decided that 12 could be a satisfying number of hives.

Jaster studied the Geonosions from their archive data received after the Rebels took the planet. They were all creatures with individual thoughts and actions, yet they never rose in rebellion and never once questioned authority. This made them very capable threats during the Clone Wars as far as the data suggestued, unfortunately no samples or DNA structure was left for Jaster to study. Yet Jaster was certain he had seen this before, and that's when it clicked. Insects!

Jaster once studied how Hive Clusters were able to stay in sync as well as leave no stragglers when the moved to another location. Even when they died, they knew where the body could be found. Jaster studied the Hive Mind, and it was truely fascinating, to communicate over large distance was only accomplished by Radio Frequencies, and insects created it first. He would need leadership in his new creations, and that meant they controlled a certain Hive Mind Frequency that only controlled their disciples in their hive.

"Ah, Director, I've asked you here to meet one of your newest assets, This is 'Mother', she's to be the birth of your first command."

The work looked quite impressive, spinning a new race of creatures. The creature in the chamber looked quite humanoid, enough so that perhaps it's spawn would be of a familiar biology. Though he was wondering about in what variety the to-be-born creatures were to be, if they were all to be too similar perhaps a single defect could be the end of them all.

"I shouldn't expect it's spawn to be akin to clones right?"

Even so, the intelligence of these creatures should also be a problem. Too intelligent and the chances of it turning against them would've been all too likely. Or on the other hand something too dumb would probably just run off and be completely useless on the battlefield.

"Perhaps... if you could, provide some distinct commanding troops. Whether they're useful in battle is of no concern to me."

@Azreal

Jaster chuckled at the idea of his creation being clones, he was a Bio-Engineer, his creations would look as differently as their though process. Jaster believed in evolution, and as such believed in the cycle of life and death. Of course 'Mother' would live to be possibly 200 years old before she would die, but as queen, she was suppose to live the longest. As every monarch works there must also be a king and the subject will obay their kings demands.

This why the director was present, "No, no, these creatures will be as diffrent as u or anyone else of your species, but we require your genetic marker, a simple drop of blood to combin her offspring with unding loyalty, of course my DNA will also be imprinted for my safety as well," Jaster pulled out a scanner and handed it to Azreal, "Just place your blood on the screen and we will have it."

"Well, if worst comes to worst at least we'll see how this undying loyalty holds."

He pricked his finger with the edge of a knife and extended his hand toward the screen. Since communication hadn't been yet mentioned Azreal had assumed that the creatures would've spoken Galactice Basic but perhaps that wasn't the case and perhaps there was some ridiculously complex system of clicks and tap dancing. Best to ask first.

"Do these creatures... speak? I worry that whatever they say to me would come back as incomprehensible."

Jaster handnt though about that, communication between each other was easy, knowing basic though, that's diffrent. Jaster had all the genomes already set, 12 male Hive Mind Leaders would be created by being the Offspring of 'Mother'. As for 24 smaller Drone type creatures would be geneticly altered yet created as external eggs.

The Drones could not speak as they didn't have jaws. Their diet would consist of 'mash', a protien supplements that tasted no diffrent then what was discribed on the label. Their brain capacity was above average, yet unknowingly they would unable to denie any command from a Leader. This was because of the inability to understand the form of communication, yet still communicate. It was like speaking with you mouth, but not knowing what you mouth was. Easy misunderstanding that Jaster could control with with a simple change in the DNA structure.

There was also a low level of hormones created within the male genome, this is where Jaster would fix it. He created a metamorphos cycle in only a 5% of the male population genome. This would allow drones to cocoon and alture their entire physiology, Jaster wouldn't know what they looked like until they would be born. Jaster only had a vague idea of what they would look like.

He then looked to answer Azreal, "It has been corrected, new form of Drones will be able to communicate with anyone who speaks Basic, we can call them Overseers, as for loyalty, have you ever seen an ant step out of formation and live?"

Two Year Later

Jaster stood in the central hive in the lowest levels of the Conglomerate Trade Plaza. Here Jaster started the first of what he hopped of his magnificent creations, the perfection he called the Mantanites.

He walked to a circle of floating large insectoids, Jaster named them the Royal Minds and they enjoyed it so much they wished to be called it. They were still learning to control their powers, but Umbrella Staff worked day and night to help them incorporate into the new worlds. It was a new species in a new galaxy, and Jaster was proud of them. They used the self physically modified Drones, they enjoyed being called the Overseers and so Jaster allowed it. They were the interpreters and lieutenant of the Royal Minds as they could not have eyes everywhere.

Once he was finished he walked to the ledge where the Minds were being schooled in galactic history and common knowlage. Over 25,000 drones and Overseers were practicing formation, cleaning weapons, and doing recreational activities. It was astonishing how quickly they grew and how durable these new creatures were.

Jaster didn't even program it, but these creatures incubation process during reproduction of infants was about 3 months. After that their infancy was another 3 months before growing their final layer of exoskeletal armor. After that they were able to reproduce and continue the process, it was clearly mind blowing. Two years ago they had started with barely 100 of their species and now they grew exponentially and Jaster was forced to enforce a population control for better genetic breeding. Now by Conglomerate law only Overseers would be able to reproduce.

Now they were ready to be let out into the world in the care of the Director of Extermination for the use of the Viceroy.
