Bend or Brake

[member="Eric Clayton"]

In the hills of the planet of Gyndine, stood a small practice ring in the center of a waterfall that was made into two parts. Thus making a natural lake on a cliff side. This made the clime or landing nearly impossible, but with enough training it would make the pilot more experienced. The whole point of the base was that volunteers of Legion would be trained to be part of the Sky-Fall Marine Corps. The altitude took a toll on peoples bodies while they trained, the pilots would also have to land on a cliff side inside a valley during high winds to drop off supplies. These men and women would be the peak of the Legions capability and attack strength. The base could fit a small legion of 9,000 Soldiers and it would be the only training grounds for the Legion. The housing was a group of several small building where the trainees would be packed up like fish. This would then be their only peace as they would then make their way to the parade grounds which was on the edge of the cliff face. They would then place their trust in their trainers and turn their backs to the cliff and begin morning training. In the other side of the Lake was a hike trail that lead to the peak of the mountain and then back to base. They would then be placed in the Arena in the Lake and combat practice would begin.

Jagger had been dropped off on the planet and was awaiting a new Merc he had hired to train these troopers. The Merc had one heck of a rap-sheet. An Ex-Republic soldier who served in some of the harshest battles and where millions serviced, he rose from the dust a stronger man.

A expert pilot driving a Shuttle, would land on the Landing Pad located on the side of the Cliff. It was a gift from his new friends at Rendili Stardrives, New Shuttles, Fighters, and Ships to fight off their designated enemies. The ramp would slowly descend from its upright position and then show a single deck hand who was escorting the Merc to Jagger by pointing him out. He then saluted the Grand Admiral and waited for the Merc to exit the Shuttle. Holding there before the wind picked up again was dangerous.

He sat on the ship reviewing his plans for the training leafing through his data-pad his eyes skimming over his notes that he had made. He sighed standing up cracking his back as he looked around and peaked outside right before he broke atmosphere looking down at the surface of the planet. He nodded scanning his eyes over it, not for beauty but for his training. He had done extensive research before hand but that didn't account for a actual viewing of the area.

As the ship landed he walked up to the door as it opened with the ramp coming down from it he ducked his head as he walked down and onto the landing pad seeing the Grand Admiral and Jagger Fuga, the man that had hired him for this assignment. He was to train these men for Jagger to be the best of the best, and he knew they would be by the time he was done. His long strides took him over to Fuga as he nodded towards him extending a arm. "Eric Clayton, you know my resume, my extensive history and my skills already so let's cut it short. What expectations do you have for the men your having me train, and what's the due date." He looked at the man in the eyes as he talked his blue eyes seeming to look right through him, the side of his face with burns making him even more intimidating.

Jagger nodded to the soldier that was before him and as he asked the question, he only nodded once and walked to the central tower. He would then speak to the Soldier. "The truth of the matter is that this army is in need of being disciplined and united, as both the One Sith and Republic Soldiers, so I decided to hire the most strict and tough soldier I could think of."

The landing pad was small, only large of enough for a single shuttle. So crossing it and making their way to the parade ground the soldiers were in the middle of practice. As such they stopped moving and everyone of them stood at attention and saluted the Admiral. There were the full 9,000 soldiers on that cliff face standing at attention. The rest of the way to the Tower was just past some of the bases vehicles that carried supplies and served no real combat service. As such they just passed it and made their way to the tower entrance. An elevator then took them to the top floor and into an observation room where there were cameras that watched the whole canyon. The soldiers were back to exercising and some of the commanders were looking over the trainees packs for their run.

"This is the Sky-Fall Legion, training will be placed in your command and no others, not even myself, you will however answer to me if a problem arises."

He followed the man carrying his bag in his hand as he followed the man past the troops, he looked them over assessing them and listening to the man in front of him following him. He got on the elevator with the man and waited until they hit the top and followed him into the room looking out into the canyon and looking out at the troops and the equipment that they had there for now.

"Okay that is going to be.... interesting but understandable, but like I said there is holes in that, when do you want them trained, how efficiently do they have to be or what standards to you have for them. I need specifics to know how hard they are going to be pushed, I'm not going to break a man if I don't have to. They have to be tough but how tough is another question, they will be tough no matter what but if they are to be broken I'd like a heads up on what standards you are going to give them."

Jagger sighed at the question. The Troopers were the top of the volenteers, and on top of that they were put through a rigorous training before coming to this camp. They were then put through pre-training before the Merc would arrive. As such they were already tired and showed their devotion to the Legions Leadership. These men and women were the most loyal to the Grand Admiral and willing to put their lives on the line for that loyalty. Jagger did not want to send these people to their deaths if they could not handle being the first boots on the ground.

Jagger then turned from the monators and looked too the Merc, then held out a datapad with info and three main bullet points. Gorilla Tactics, Foot-Hold FOB Spread, and finally Ship-Boarding Tactics. "These men and women will be placed in a Legion that will see the worst hell's this galaxy offers, push them as hard as you can," The Admiral then moved over to a Holo-Console and then added as he typed away, "The Fleet will be completed in Several Months, so that will be the suggested finish time, if you require longer then take your time as the Fleet will not be needed for some time."

A hologram of men loading created onto a ship then came up, another man then opened a create and showed a Blaster from the box. "Your payment has been loaded as agreed with will be loaded and finished by tomorrow."

He nodded and listened to the man taking personal notes in his mind as he did so making sure that it followed with his data-pad. He looked at the man as he moved over to the crate and showed him his blaster, nodding approvingly he looked back up at the man. He gave a slight sigh realizing that he had a lot of respect for these soldiers but he had to push them as hard as possible.

"Okay, that won't be a problem, I can definitely get that done in that time. They will know what it's like to go through hell and back before they get any rest, I realize that you have a deadline and a definite.... hostile target that will be trained so you need these men and women to be better, they will be trained as best as my ability. Oh and that, just have it sent to my quarters for now, I'll be here for a while so I won't need to have that anywhere else for now so might as well use it here."

Jagger walked over to the Merc who would be training his marines. This would be a daunting path for both him and his Troopers who would train under the Merc. This terrain was some of the toughest areas to train, making them some of the best troops in the Legion and hopefully the galaxy.

"Then I will hopefully be back in a few months," The Admiral walked to the door and then turned back around. "The Fleet will arrive in 7 Months, Notify me if there are any complications you need solved."

He needed to get the legion back to 100% before his Lord Master would stage their meeting of the Admirals. This force would be in the forefront of the Legion and held on a different standard. The average soldiers would look up to these soldiers as the level in which they wanted to be at and they would fight that much harder. Soldiers always needed a hero to fight along side, and these would be those heroes. He walked up to the Elevator and would return to this base in some time in the future.

OOC:
Go ahead and state what kind of training you did or just a time skip, I dont really mind either way, Jagger would pretty much be useless in the training.

7 Months later, a week before the fleet's completion

The troops had gone through a lot the first week pushing many to their limits and a handful of dropouts from each of the groups but much less the he expected. They ran 5 miles everyday for those 7 months their stamina only bested by those artificially enhanced. They had gone through fire training after they had run teaching them even after a long run they had to the ability to accurately take down a target. After this they would have team exercises, each member of the group was given a role; sniper, rifleman, grenadier, heavy gunner, and leader making up one team. Each day the team members switched getting used to everyone and learning how to work with new people that would be filling different roles throughout their time so they could adapt to people filling in for roles. By the second month he took the members into the kill house and began having war games against one another on stun another teaching them how to properly attack and defend corridors on ships or buildings. By the third month they had weekly jump training usually held on Wednesdays from ships they had acquired teaching them how to jump from a moving ship and safely return to the ground. He had taught them a lot and they respected him and held him with great authority calling him "Uncle" for his strong demeanor he put on but his gentle kindness when they broke. He was a good man who didn't want to watch anyone break due to pressure like this but they needed to be ready. On the day he had arranged he walked up to Jagger.

"Eric Clayton, the Marine Division reporting ready and prepared for your orders sir."

He had walked up to the man and gave him a salute his face completely blank of emotion as he gave his line and looked past the man in front of him not looking into his eyes in proper military respect. He was officially on the book saying that these men and women for what he had in store for them and believed it.

Jagger returned from the Shipyard that was building the Legions Fleet, as well as the meeting between the Dominions Military Leadership. He did his best to just leave the training alone to the Merc, and as such didn't know much of the Legions new forces. When he came back from the base he decided to walk around and see the leaders trained completed. The area he watched from was the tower where the cameras watched everything the soldiers were doing. As he watched this he was called to the parade area where he was to speak with the Merc who was training his forces. As such he walked to the elevator and descended to the ground level. He then walked to the parade grounds where he meet up with the Merc the soldiers called 'Uncle', interesting name he had to admit. Yet he was called 'Hard Chit' back when he was in the intelligence division.

"They look very nice Clayton, but can they fight, is the true question." Jagger looked through the ranks of the soldiers there and their ranks looked slightly thinner then before. From the counts he received from the ride down, there were about 8,000 troopers now. His training was difficult and a few fell through, but they looked stronger then before. The Armor he had gotten for the soldiers would now fit like a glove.

"I thank you for your training these men and women, they will be put the test very soon and as such will either die or survive from your training." He then handed the soldier a data pad that stated their first mission would be on the Planet Denon.

He nodded turning on his heels looking towards the troop behind him. He looked over each and everyone of them with his eyes seeing their new armor and equipment and sighed softly, he didn't like it as much as his armor but he had found it in the sands of Tattoine and customized by himself to fit his personal needs. He thought of what to say to them, what he wanted them to know before anything in particular happened, he didn't want to leave them without them knowing what he felt these last few months with these men and women. He cleaned his throat and looked out into the ranks of the marines he had trained and the words came to him as soon as his mouth was opened.

"Today you are finally released from my supervision and training. You are too keep up the daily training drills but under the supervision of your leaders. I have a lot of time spent with you all during these months and I know you are prepared for the fight ahead, now it's time to show your loyalty and training towards your cause. I respect all of you for what you are setting out to do and I hope that each and every one of you make it back home and live a long and healthy life full of love and caring. I am Training Commander Eric... "Uncle" Clayton, and you are all dismissed. Oorah soldiers."
