As the pair ambled down the beach, they received quite a few glances; some subtle, others not so much. A certain kind of person might have relished the attention, while another might be struck by insecurity. Adrian, however, could hardly care less, his attention focused on the woman walking beside him.

Chuckling lightly, he nodded as if in concession. "Fair enough. The Jedi are a multifaceted group, just as our fellow Sith, though their tendency to raise their members from early childhood and ideals of non-attachment would arguably make them easier to indoctrinate." Glancing around them quickly, he flashed the woman a conspiratorial smile. "I have sometimes wondered if Lightsiders might not make better subordinates than Darksiders. Less prone to betray their superiors, certainly. More eaisly convinced that service to their betters is the purpose of their existence, perhaps?"

Continuing down the beach while relishing the feel of a slight breeze from the sea, contrasting sharply with warm skin-on-skin and the sands beneath his feet, Adrian did not know quite where they were going. Perhaps she did not, either. Perhaps that was part of the fun.

Tilting his head in a subtle gesture of agreement at her observation regarding the Force - since becoming a Sith he had come to believe that only those lucky enough to possess that rare talent had a chance at true power, and thus true freedom - he paused slightly before responding.

"I could say that it is because those "sponsored" by a Triumvir are rare indeed, but truthfully? You are interesting, and I adore interesting."

The Amalgam swam through the waters, which stung her eyes from the salt in it. She could feel the enraged Lura swimning after her, pursuing her with all haste,

The Amalgam decided to take advantage of her nature as a Shi'ido, and her form twisted and melted in the water as she swam, becoming a sea snake like creature as she slipped out of her bikini and boots, gliding through the water easily now, her lightsabers stuck in her body. She could feel Lura trying to influence her mind, trying to control it. The Amalgam resisted, not just because she was highly proficient at mental attacks, and had already seen a good deal of the tricks involved, having had centuries to become acquainted with various forms of telepathic attacks, both used by her and used against her. Lura wasn't bringing her down that way.

But Lura presented other dangers as a Consumer. For example, if Lura captured her, and got her bodily tissue into her...The Amalgam would share the same fate as her victim.

She was making time, but knew she couldn't keep it up. She had to make a decision and fast. She spotted a boat under the water with what looked like waterjets and began to swim towards it, hoping she could reach it before Lura reached her...

A few minutes later...

It had been a party for some college students until the snake had come aboard.

The student were quite drunk, and had been slamming down beer after beer, men and women. Some had expressed a desire to party elsewhere. After all, Cantonica was being visited by a heavy number of Sith. And as anybody who'd had as much history to rely on as modern society did when it came to the various horror stories of what happened when ordinary people mixed with the Sith could have told them, it was a recipe for disaster.

But alas, fish have to swim. Birds have to fly. And the drunk college student has to drunk college student.

So the response when the strange, rotting drywall colored snake flopped aboard, slithering to them, the response was a mixture of surprise, and more importantly, a disorganized response.

Of course, there is always the smart one in a drunken frat party, one who imbibes slightly less than the others, and perhaps recognizing a giant strange snake suddenly flopping aboard as a bad omen, and, remembering this was a planet being visited by heavy amounts of Sith, had, to his eternal credit, a bout of genre savviness and immediately leapt the hell overboard and swam for dear life, leaving all his drunk friends to what happened next.

The snake twitched as it was approached by confused, drunk people, and then it began bulging and shifting, lightning arcing out of tentacles that sprouted on it, hitting and frying some while others screamed as nightmarish images played out in their heads, dropping to their knees in terror.

The twisting mass became an emaciated, lanky figure with a lamprey mouth and pale skin, shivering from the cold as it finished electrocuting people and began to look for the controls, only to turn around and see Lura pull herself aboard, a red lightsaber in her hand going active. The curvy redhead had an utterly malicious look as the pair stared at one another as both monsters stared at each other.

"Going sailing? I thought I'd ruined your vacation..." Lura mocked.

The Amalgam chuckled with her lamprey-mouth.

"One can go sailing for business as well..." she replied. "Like, for example, the business of turning you into shark chum."

Lura laughed. "Always with the witty retorts...I got one more question before we get started..."

"Sure, Lura. Anything."

"Why are you obsessed with my old associate, Uri Udinia?"

The question made the Amalgam genuinely stiffen.

"I prepare her for glory. As I made you glorious."

"Gonna feed her Consumer tissue, like you did to me?"

The Amalgam scoffed. "You were nothing special when I found you, Lura. Just another dead end Jedi in over her head taking me on. Making you a Consumer was just about the only way you were ever going to anount to anything."

"And for that, I thank you..." Lura said. The Amalgam instantly knew the response to be a lie. Lura was an eternal slave of The Bogan...but it appeared some part of her, however small, still carried the rage of her long dead old self, a rage too potent to cease even after the complete eradication of her humanity.

The Amalgam thought about using lightning...her enemy was using a bog-standard synth powered blade...but strangely, the Amalgam didn't want to cheat. She wanted to bring Lura down the old fashioned way.

The hilts snaked out of the recesses in her arms, purple blades hissing out. The deck was wide, good for dueling, looked like a high clas yacht...but it was rocking from the water, throwing her balance off.

Lura then said something that made the Amalgam instantly take notice.

"Perhaps I should lead Uri to glory, y'know?" Lura suggested with a wicked smile. "Slip some of me into her next meal..."

"Die." The Amalgam snarled, sprinting with blades raised...

Callidus chuckled, feeling the finger poke into his stomach. He had underestimated how playful Sabrina was, and he glanced down to look at her hand. Even Callidus had to admit it was surprising, but more rational thoughts kept him from overreacting - mostly the realization that putting a lightsaber through someone in a crowded casino wasn't a good idea. That said, the whole conversation had gotten more amusing, and with a lop-sided smirk, Callidus motioned to a nearby waiter for drinks. He gulped the last of the champagne from the glass in his other hand.

"A surprising tactic for an official," Callidus said as he placed the empty glass on the waiter's tray and grabbed a full one. He offered a glass to Sabrina. "I'm astounded you still do your own dirty work. One would expect off-the-book assassins, or grab squads. Very intriguing, lady Sabrina."

Across the way, the gambling Zabrak had another roll ruined by the Sith Lord, to which she gritted sharp teeth and walked away from the table. Callidus glanced at the departing individual, before taking another sip of champagne. It was time to begin moving, to follow and stalk his prey...

"Would you care to walk with me, lady Sabrina?" Callidus asked, eyebrow raised. "Remaining in one place too long can be stifling, and I would like to stretch my legs while continuing our conversation, if you feel inclined."

Callidus waited for a response, a small smile on his face.

She smiled he had sense humour, he said it was surprising tactic. She did not mention, the way became queen was killing a count in broad daylight, in front of all the other nobles. Though he did challenge her, he lasted less than a second, and cost her a window. He offered her glass of wine, while stating he was astounded that she did her own dirty work. She just smiled, in reality she rarely got her hands dirty, and when she did no one see her do it. She noticed he was tormenting as Zabrack, she was asking why later, though she did not really care even if it was just for his own amusement. He asked her take a walk with him, she decide why not, she nothing better to do. Yes why not, but no more not telling me about blood. She did not want to be told only half a story, she wanted to hear full story, or not at all.

“Interesting?”

Er’in’s smile probably revealed more than she intended, her self-righteous vanity and ego stroked by that compliment more than by anything more mundane.

“Thank you, I’m afraid it would be exceptionally pointless of me to simply return the compliment in kind, so allow me to say instead that you are an excellent craftsman with a good eye for such things.”

She let her senses wander briefly, a few moments of silence as her mind reached out across the beach and a destination selected, she gently guided the pair of them further down, towards one of the inevitable rocky outcrops that litter such beaches, this one water worn and smooth, but entirely devoid of people due to the daytime temperatures and lack of tide pools. It wasn’t secluded, precisely, but it was private and offered good lines of sight.

“I find that to approach others with open offers appealing to their self interest and freedom often negates the... traditional failings in Sith culture, providing one is careful with whom one gets into bed with. But then, I am also not prone to crave as much temporal power as is traditional. The Jedi - from my experience and study, have a similar philosophy in that regard in many of their Orders, with groups such as the Silver Jedi being obvious exceptions - they have more in common with the Jedi of the pre-plague Clone Wars. Their failing is in their unwillingness to learn and to expose themselves, to evolve. It is one that I, at least, believe the Sith Code warns us against. It does not limit us in how we obtain our power.”

She began to climb the rocks carefully, very aware this was not exactly her archeology attire, relishing the burning heat against bare skin. It was, she reflected, odd how inured to physical pain she was becoming.

“Of course, it does not warn us that power, even that of the Force, is temporary and that existence is a constant struggle. Do you find yourself drawn to similar conclusions? I am curious as to your philosophical standpoint.”

Er'in's vanity might be more apparent, more easily drawn out, but his was just as profound. Just as excessive. Just as evident in his broad smile as it had been with her.

"Glad to hear it; it is always good seeing someone giving the art of creation the attention it deserves." Pausing slightly, as if in thought, he continued. "If you are interested, I can show you some of my other creations at a later date. Some are inanimate, some are simple-minded, and some... are considerably more intelligent than many of our fellow SIth."

Allowing her to guide him as they talked, he was pleased to find himself in a more private setting. As much as he enjoyed prowling through a crowd, there would always be inferiors aplenty to entertain himself with.

As he followed her up the sun-warmed rock, it was evident that her attire was not particularly practical in this regard, his own only slightly better. Still, he certainly wasn't complaining, the view being more than worth some minor inconvenience.

"Hmm, yes, I have often come to similar conclusions myself. Change is unavoidable and in many cases desirable. It is up to any given Sith to harness that change, that inherent instability, to use it in pursuit of his or her own goals; along the way, the Sith themselves might need to change. Such is the nature of life. The Force is not exempt from this rule, though power gained from it is nonetheless much less fleeting than that garnered from more mundane pursuits. Much closer tied to oneself and one's own will than, say, wealth or military might could ever be."

Er'in paused on the top of the rocks to look around, a smile that was surprisingly without cruelty on her features.

"You make a good point, it is part of why Darth Avacyn is taking me to the upcoming battle. So I may witness... the more temporal side of the Empire's power. But we of course stand for one Empire." Which was a complete and total lie, but a smoothly delivered one with solid mental shielding around it. "So it may be as well to say the Empire must evolve along with conflict."

She turned to look at Adrian, mhmm, he was indeed enjoying the view. Well, no harm there.

"You're an Alchemist, then? As you might expect, I have some interests in that area. The esoteric is always... of interest." Her smile grew a little thoughtful at that point. "I have several projects that might interest you, in fact. Prime examples of our ability to impose our will upon the Force, and in turn the Force upon mundane matter."

She gestured to the rock.

"Shall we sit?"

Into the fray she would go, then. As had Adrian, in conflicts past, though always with an agenda of his own. What was her agenda, he wondered? Was it simply to prove herself, or did the Jen'ari heretics possess something which she desired? Whatever the case, he hoped she would survive. From what he had seen, her death would be quite the waste.

"Going into battle with the Valkyries, are you? I have always considered them a step above the common warrior. Killing one's enemies when they could be turned into an ally or minion is so... wasteful." Spreading his hands, his gaze was thoughtful. "I suppose we shall see if this conflict will strengthen the Empire, or prove equally wasteful."

Unlike many Sith, the young Knight had little enthusiasm for war. It was a furnace of delicious passion, to be sure, but so was a Zeltron party. The difference was that the latter was mutually satisfying and far less likely to kill you.

"Let's, and indeed I am, though I am at my best where it and Sorcery intermingle." Smiling as he spoke, he lowered himself onto the rock. It was too warm to be traditionally comfortable, but they were both Sith. Besides, he had always believed that a little discomfort made life's pleasures all the more enjoyable in comparison.

"It is how I created my arm, as well as several other of my proudest creations." Looking into her eyes, his would gleam with excitement, revealing just how strongly he felt about the topic. "I am sure that if we were to compare our designs, we would both come away with valuable new realizations." Smile turning mischievous, he continued. "I'll show you mine, if you show me yours?"

Er'in gave her companion a long, withering gaze, violet eyes burning with distain.

"Please, I am not a child and neither are you. We are heirs to a tradition that promises to overcome the limitations of the human condition."

There was passion in her voice, but not anger, despite the look her tone was one of mild disapproval. She slowly sat down, then laid back against the rock with a sigh.

"But, if you can be civil and keep your tone above that of a space pirate, I might be inclined to acquiesce to your bold proposal - once I return from the invasion of Jen'ari space, of course."

She stared thoughtfully up at the clouds. He was being wantonly bold, but he seemed like an ally worth cultivating, and a relationship worth establishing for the future. She did not plan to remain as she was forever, and... now that Velok the Younger was absent, she had few people of similiar mindset. She stretched a little, purely for show. He had, at least, not commented on the view. That would actually have been too much.

"I share your... consideration of the conflict. But I cannot for a moment believe that Darth Avacyn or the Dark Lord are wasteful or foolish in chosing their conflicts, and so - as an outsider, trained by an outsider who while he may call himself Sith, I would not consider such... I wish to see what it is they have to show me. What Darth Avacyn wishes me to see. We leave soon, of course - so as I say, I will have to take you up on your offer after I return. Does that sound... satisfactory?"

Lura had gotten good. Because in all of the Amalgam's frenzied, aggressive assaults with two purple blades against a boatful of corpses, Lura's defense hadn't budged. Lura had picked up Shien, and was rapidly turning every strike back and counter attacking. To conserve energy against the bikini clad red head, The Amalgam switched to her preferred defensive method, but there was no mistake she had commited a serious error just now, letting Lura get under her skin like that by threatening to hurt Uri.

Lura had exposed a weakness, one that had festered since becoming aware of it thanks to encountering her reflection.

Lura attacked with fast vertical chops that drove the Shi'ido backwards, both fighting the unsteady rocking nature of the boat which occasionally threw both their aims off and scorched the boat's metallic hull as the yacht swayed in the waters. All those other people on the beach were enjoying themselves while the Amalgam was stuck, yet again with someone who wanted her dead.

Had she been more reflective of her life choices she might have been willing to acknowledge that she really had no one to blame but herself for her current predicament. But as mentioned previously, hubris and vanity prevented this, and would prevent it until it was far too late to do anything about it.

Lura forced her to duck a decapitation strike that bit into the archway that led into the yacht interior, and forced her backward into the Amalgam still had not retaken a human guise yet, still looking lanky and emaciated, a lamprey mouth where her face should have been.

The yacht interior was lush, highly decorated, the carpet a velvety red, holoprojectors displaying scantily clad Twi'lek men and women dancing, loud, garish music playing over the loudspeakers as the Amalgam was forced to retreat further from the heavy saber strikes of the enraged Lura.

"You could have avoided all this if you'd just gassed me when I was distracted..." the lamprey-mouthed Shi'ido taunted.

"What we have is too personal for that..." Lura snarled hatefully. "And why are you so obsessed with my old colleague?"

"None of your concern..." the Amalgam hissed back, joining her weapons together back into a staff.

"Oh, it sounds like it is...is that sentiment I hear? From you?" Lura immediately sneered. "You are uncertain...perhaps it is fortuitous I caught you at such a bad time.

The Amalgam concentrated, twisting and melting back into her preferred human guise, her body shaped to look like it was wearing a skintight body glove. She concentrated and small purple arcs of electricity ran across her body. Her use of lightning shield was unfortunately very basic at the moment, she wasn't certain it would actually protect her from a saber strike, but any protection was better than none.

"You really are taking this far too personally, Lura. Why all the resentment? You're more powerful now than you ever were as a Jedi. You were given more options...more oppertunity for self advancement. I admit, normally I would have taken my time with you, actually bothered to seduce you to the Bogan's desires, but you'd scratched my vessel with that shoto of yours and...well...I really couldn't let that sort of slight go." The Amalgam explained.

This only made Lura angrier, causing her other wise gorgeous visage to deform slightly for a split second.

"A scratched...vehicle?" Lura seethed in an inhuman voice her eyes turning pure black.

"If you owned a vintage spacecraft like my phantom trust me, you'd understand being angry enough to turn someone into a Consumer when someone scratches the hull with a lightsaber. You know how much I had to shell out to get it fixed. I spent the next fething week committing home invasions and killing everyone inside to get the kind of scratch required to pay off the repairs." The Amalgam grumbled, spinning her staff defensively, waiting for the attack. It came, Lura rushing forward, executing a heavy series of strikes that forced the Amalgam to parry, her purple blades spinning through and destroying furniture as she was forced to go backward as she defended. Lura was savvy and an oppertunist, and when the chance came, she made her hand take a clawed gesture, and the Monster started to gag as Lura telekinetically lifted her off the ground by the neck.

The Amalgam tossed out out a burst of lightning, but the pain and the effects of suffocation made it weaker than it should have been as Lura leapt back and blocked the electricity with her blade, strengthening the effect of the Force choke, and the Amalgam began to worry as she started to black out but as her vision started to truly fade she realized she didn't have the strength or the focus required for the Darkness, she looked around, desperate for a distraction to break the choke as she dropped her double bladed lightsaber. She realized where she had been driven backward too.

She was staring at the piloting cabin. Its entrance was open and she saw the piloting controls.

In desperation, she focusesd her last remaining strength and flicked all the controls forward, starting the boats underwater jets, which caused it to rocket forward throwing Lura off balance and breaking her concentration, causing the Amalgam to drop to the carpet, gagging and seeing spots as the boat sped forward, with no pilot at high speed...

A lesser man, or perhaps a more sane man, might have crumbled under her withering gaze. Adrian, however, was a veteran of sorts when it came to provoking everything from disgust to hatred. Sometimes it was accidental, sometimes it was because he simply did not care. Sometimes, it was a calculated move, one meant to expose the heart of someone's insecurities.

This... was squarely in the former. Years of rigorous social training from Serennian notwithstanding, he had never been particularly good at remaining polite when he got excited. And few things got him as excited the arcane arts of Sorcery and Alchemy.

As if by force of will alone, Adrian managed to force himself to adopt an expression of mild apology, as opposed to a sarcastic smirk. He even managed to keep himself from compulsively saying "... and which proposal would that me?", though only by the barest of margins, and only because he had far too few worthy peers to be alienating them with unnecessary snideness. Instead, he waited for her to finish, then nodded.

"Certainly. Best of luck on the battlefield; do try to not get yourself vaporized by a stray turbolaser barrage, and I'll see you some time afterwards."

Pausing for a few moments, he shrugged slightly.

"Oh, and I don't truly think this conflict is meaningless. The Dark Lord might be a mighty warrior, but he is so much more than that. From what I have heard, from what I have seen of his workings... I have no doubt that every action has a calculated purpose, that every conflict is the crucible of something greater."

Callidus smiled again, as he motioned in the direction the pair would walk. The Zabrak was ahead, pushing through the crowds in annoyance, slowing her progress to the exit. That suited Callidus just fine, as he walked beside Sabrina. It seemed she was prone to gory details, and while Callidus could divulge some secrets he kept, he didn't quite feel ready to reveal such information. Not to fellow Sith, not unless he had to. The fact someone of his species was surrounded by Force sensitives made his position all the more precarious; Callidus did not need people thinking he would feast on the Apprentices and Knights for sport, after all.

"I do recall one instance in a duel with a Jedi, which might take your fancy," Callidus said in a low voice, brushing by patrons of the casino. He looked to Sabrina. "This particular Jedi was using two lightsabers. Quite skilled. Able to attack and defend almost simultaneously... but I saw some flaws in his technique. He was prone to using one flourish in particular, especially when I performed a certain sequence of attacks..."

Callidus smirked, his memories of the fight coming back in full detail.

"So I waited, and when the time was right, removed one of his hands at the wrist. Needless to say, he didn't take it well, and I promptly removed the other hand. Sadly no blood for you in this instance, as the wounds cauterized. But, there was much anguish and screaming, followed by some begging and a killing stab to the chest... it was all quite fun, I do admit."

Ahead, the Zabrak picked someone's pocket, taking some credsticks. It was a smooth action, barely perceivable. Callidus was impressed, but still determined on his course of action. So when his prey reached the doors out of the casino, Callidus turned to his company and offered a somber expression.

"Sadly, lady Sabrina, this is where we part ways," Callidus sighed, glancing toward her. "I have to handle some business... personal business."

The Zabrak was slowly getting further away, but now that the Sith Lord was focused on her, the possibility of escape was minimal. Now it was just a simple matter of politely excusing himself, before he could close the distance to his prey...

"I look forward to meeting again. Until then, good evening. Enjoy the casino!"

With a curt bow, Callidus turned on his heel and exited from the main rooms of the casino, his hunger and urges reaching dizzying heights, now that he was about to partake in a tasty Force sensitive meal...

The Amalgam struggled to her feet as the out of control boat rocketed forward on the water. Lura tried to choke her but the Amalgam was quicker, casting a heavy bolt of lightning that forced her to duck. Lura knew she was finished if electricity hit her Consumer-ized flesh.

The red-head looked half insane with fury at this point, enough that her face started to deform as she lost concentration on maintaining a beautiful facade and was forced to blocks the constant stream of accurized lightning from the only slightly more normal Shi'ido, some of it hitting a radio and causing it to activate a song that sounded suspiciously similar to this...

(Character Theme Song Power up)

Theme: "License To Kill" by Gladys Knight

Oh well. Close enough...

Lura's blade was on the verge of failure by the time she reached her nemesis...the Amalgam's lightning was strong enough to have an above average chance of shorting out even synthetically powered blades, but Lura's had held out just enough that the Amalgam was forced to break off her assault and make an X to block Lura's saber from cutting her in half, and Lura was definitely the stronger of the pair as the Amalgam was forced to a knee while blocking but both lost their balance due to the unsteady, rocking nature of the small yacht they were on, the blades sputtering into the floor, forcing them away from each other in a mad scramble to avoid unguided plasma.

The Amalgam, having no honor at this point, let loose another series of heavy bolts only to be hit with a solid, strong Force push that slammed her violently into the hull, she screamed as she felt a rib break and Lura pounced, her blade scrorching the ceiling as she tried to bring it down on The Amalgam's face, who could only block with one blade as Lura tried to knock her weapon out of her hands with a heavy series of bashes aimed ostensibly at her neck and torso.

The Amalgam let loose her rage, and her body swelled with muscle, becoming heavily carved as all sensation of pain was cancelled out her eyes turning black. The next time Lura struck, the block was met more solidly, and the now muscular Shi'ido rose, grinning as she fended off another attack.

"So disappointing...a failure as a Jedi...and a failure as a proper worshipper of the Bogan..." the black eyed Amalgam sneered as she ferociously attacked at first, but the yachts sudden, violent swerve in the water threw their balance off again, knocking them to the floor. And it only got rockier from there.

Trying to right herself, the enraged shapeshifter barely dodge the decapitation strike by Lura, beside herself with fury. Neither one howver could get a proper shot in with the yacht going out of control like this. Alarms began to sound on the boat. Proximity warning. They were going to crash.

"Lura! The boat's going to hit something! We'll both die, you fool!" she shouted at her would-be killer.

Lura's answer gave the vile shapeshifter all she needed to know about just how personal this was.

"As long as I get to take you with me...so be it!" Lura shouted, lunging at her.

The Amalgam fended off the strike.

"Its a waste of your service to the dark, crashing and burning like this!" The Amalgam shouted at the red-head, whose face sagged on one side.

"Die!" Lura shrieked, attacking with all her strength, forcing the Amalgam to unsteadily parry and block, both of them struggling to keep balance as Cantonica rushed by in the windows of the yacht.

Lura rallied, and attacked with feral savagery, her red blade swinging so fast and strong that even with the Amalgam's rage enhanced body, she struggled to meet the attacks. The frame of the yacht rattled as it hit increasingly choppy waters, so choppy that it was very hard to stand in one place without losing balance. The proximity alarms were shrieking as the Amalgam was tossed to the floor when an enraged swipe of Lura's saber proved too strong to deflect. Out of the corner of her eye, the Amalgam spotted incoming rocks from the yacht cockpit. Thirty seconds at most.

"We will both die, Lura!" The Amalgam tried to reason.

Lura's face didn't look human with the loss of concentration, but like something that caused even the Amalgam, who'd both witnessed and been party to a great number of repulsive things actively shudder in revulsion.

"Then let my last act be to hold you here." Lura snapped, charging to decapitate her.

The Amalgam had one more trick though, and as it was the only one she could think of, it was better than nothing.

The Amalgam felt a ghost of regret for how all this was ending. She was actually impressed with how strong Lura's will was, fighting her own consumer instincts to have her revenge. She admired it.

But admiration only counts for so much, especially in this business.

The Amalgam subtly pointed at the floor as Lura charged, her blade raised.

"The might of hate sits and waits..." the Amalgam whispered, focusing on the Brain Demon's magic.

A controlled pool of electricity coalesced in the path of Lura as she got in range. She saw it, tried to dodge at the last second, but the rocking boat as it sped to its doom sealed her fate.

When she got hit by the electricity, her Consumer flesh, especially weak to electrical discharge, began to lose shape and sag everywhere as Lura screamed, completely losing her shape as she became little more than a helpless blob of quivering, burned flesh, psychic pain and hatred eminating from Lura in her death throes as the Amalgam scrambled for her life to the outside, grabbing her lightsabers and diving into the water just eight seconds before the boat hit the rocky crag jutting out of the water. A massive explosion from the boat, splintered, burned pieces of it raining down in the waters was a delightful thing for the Amalgam as she surfaced. She started frowning though as it was cold and she only looked like she was wearing a body glove...

A strange discontent filled her as she watched the remains of the boat sink. She didn't feel quite so triumphant suddenly, considering who she had killed.

Other than Kadmus Riath and Ursula, Lura had been one of Uri's closest friends in the Marksmen. She'd completely destroyed Uri's old friend out of sheer hateful, petty spite, and while she had relished it at the time, both seeing and experiencing the fallout...well...it sort of took the taste of victory out of her mouth...

Uri's green eyes, as always, stared maddeningly from within.

The Amalgam's smile had dropped completely as she swam to shore...

Hours later...

The Amalgam didn't usually drink. It was a disgusting habit that she had seen ruin many in the underworks. Especially the so-called innocent.

She usually kept a brandy for entertaining marks, never partaking herself.

Today though, she was making an exception.

Two ice cubes from the freezer settled into a polished crystal glass, amber liquid sloshing in afterward as the Amalgam settled into a seat in the corner of her quarters, photos of Uri and her green eyes plastered on nearly every surface save the bed itself, her name scribbled on the photos as well...

One more thing she had taken from her daughter. One more friend. In the end, only The Amalgam would be left for her.

The Shi'ido took a sip of the brandy, felt the headache, didn't care. She'd wanted a vacation. Instead, she'd have to settle for some dead brain cells.

Lura's master began to occupy her thoughts. The Saaraishash wanted payback...and she began formulating a plan...

Oddly, she didn't want payback just for herself, but for Lura also. Her master had foolishly wasted a new servant just to get a spy in the Saaraishash.

The Amalgam, now clad in her resistance epidermis, shifted her face to that of the one Lura had before her death, took another sip.

That Sith would be getting a visit...and the face she now wore would be the last one he would ever see.
