Roble Manufacturing's second iteration of a carbine, the BAW-89 Blaster Carbine seeks to improve on its predecessor's design by implementing several key features that improve on the core design aspects of the original BAW-88. An enhanced and reinforced design, with a duranium exterior and coating of liquid-aenite mineral compound, protect the weapon from exterior damage, while on the interior SACG-23S shock-absorbent does the same. In addition to that, the light frame of the carbine allows for a wide range of organics and droids to be able to use the weapon effectively, although to include this the BAW-89 sacrifices some punching power and range capabilities. Nevertheless, the BAW-89 is a capable and accessible lighter variant of blaster gun ideal for any force in need of it.
