  • Lightweight: The lighter weight and smaller size of the BAW-88 Blaster Carbine compared to other rifles means that it is slightly more compact and easier to be mobile compared to blaster rifles.
  • Enhanced grip: Grooving and padded grips mean that it easier to control the recoil of the carbine, increasing its overal accuracy
  • Shortened Barrel: The shortened barrel of the blaster carbine means that it is more mobile in tight spaces compared to most blaster rifles

  • Lightweight: The BAW-88 isn't a heavy-duty weapon, which means that higher tier armor can provide protection against blaster bolts from the BAW-88
  • Shorter Range: The shorter barrel of the BAW-88 means that at longer ranges it does not perform as well compared to contemporary blaster rifles.

The BAW-88 Blaster Carbine was created as a part of a modernization effort by Brayde Armor Works, on the behalf of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, to provide a standard model of blaster for the use of CIS infantry. Designed to be easy to manufacture at massive rates, while also being high quality, the BAW-88 Blaster Carbine is a lighter version of more heavier blaster rifles, perfect for light infantry or security forces. Viable for most battlefield situations, the BAW-88 is the favorite of both soldiers and police forces alike.
