Battle of Mandalore :: Mando-Imperial Conflict

Viera never liked to arrive late and her fleet unfortunely hit @[member="Tirdarius"] 's damn gravity well. She heard " We have it a premature gravity well. She knew who it was.. the only other one smart enough to do such a thing. Her old friend. " Well lets go we have space to go through, I want space to be ours!" Her Charon Class Crusier and complement was smaller than she wanted but she had taken losses and still couldn't pull the credits out to get more. She was just glad she wasn't at Roche..

Viera send comms to the fellow commanders. " Tirdarius, good to see you, Let me know if there is anything you need assistance with. "
He was one sith she didn't hate. He at least was reasonable.. and could be relied on to do what was good for the sith. She knew that as long as they both served the same empire they were good allies.

" Launch everything the moment we close in. " Damn Gravity Well.....

Blasters were a good weapon, but they lacked a certain something when it came to funerals. So the ten blue coated soldiers at the cemetery fired blanks from slugthrowers into the air at the order of their sergeant. The Admiral saluted as the ceremonial coffin was entered into the airlock. It was empty of course; most of the thousands who died at Roche had no bodies to bury, and those who did were being taken by their families. War was hell, and the war had barely begun, and already the Republic had taken its fair share of losses.
The coffin drifted out into space where it would burn up in the orbit of the uninhabited world they were now orbiting.

When the Admiral returned to the bridge of the Indomitable he had a message waiting for him from Fleet High Command. He read it in silence. Finally, he returned to his cabin and sat on his bunk staring at the floor. He had withdrawn from Roche, but the campaign had been a victory...so he had been considered a minor hero regardless.
Now this. He read it again.

Admiral Stahlmann,
You are hereby placed in command of the 7th and 18th Battlefleet Squadrons, and are to proceed immediately to Taanab, and then to Mandalore. Sith Empire forces are beginning an attack on that planet, and you are to challenge the enemy for control of orbit, and then assist Mandalorian forces as necessary. Admiral @[member="Kyle Brunswick"] is hereby placed under your command.

It went on, but that was the meat of the statement.

The Admiral took a deep breath and rose. The 7th and 18th combined would give him 5 Preservation Class Star Defenders, 2 Emancipation Class Heavy Cruisers and 4 Liberation Class Cruisers, as well as numerous smaller ships. With this force he was supposed to attack and drive back whatever the Sith might throw at them. He wondered briefly if this was punishment for Roche, or simply incompetence. Token fleet support for the Mandalorians showed them that the Republic was on their side, but the Republic had other concerns.

Hail Caesar, we who are about to die salute you....

MANDALMOTORS HALL

"Y҉ou ҉pr͞o̶lo҉n͟g̴ th̢e ̧i͘n̕ev̡i͡ta͜b́le̶," declared Darth Apparatus. His left arm began to lift as if he would enact more power of the dark side over @[member="Verz Horak"].

Yet in an instant, @[member="Rexutu"] entered the Hall and several Mandalorians, including @[member="Gilamar Skirata"], began to fire a combination of sonic rifles and slugthrowers. Noticing @[member="Mirta Kar"] tossing a grenade at @Zaidan, a twitch of his left hand caused the grenade to explode through the Force. Then, Darth Apparatus turned his attention fully toward the enemies attacking him.

Crouching down, Darth Apparatus swiped his arms across his hips and back. With both of his mechanical claw-like hands hanging behind him, he ignited two red lightsabers that highlighted the Sith Lord's body with a crimson hue. Any telekinetic force that pressed against Verz dissipated and no longer impeded the Imperial's movements.

Looking at the group of Mandalorians shooting at him, Darth Apparatus threw the lightsaber grasped by his left hand. Spinning through the air, the searing plasma sliced through the necks of the four nondescript Mandalorians shooting at the Darth. The Force clearly guided the lightsaber through its path - now speeding toward Rexutu.

At the moment he had thrown the lightsaber, Darth Apparatus took a solid breath. Then, he unleashed a tremendous growl that sounded more as one of a beast than man. Its low pitch sent reverberations through the foyer as if a shockwave. It would feel more akin to a booming speaker to the Mandalorians. The dark side touched upon the disturbance as if amplifying it. The bolts of concentrate sonic waves ebbed for a moment.

Then in a flash surrounded by a sanguine flurry, Darth Apparatus moved several meters to his left as he faced Gilamar. He slid to a stop in a three-point stance - his left hand grazing the ground - just a second after that. Faint clouds of vapor that used to be slugs hanged in the air. Some glowing molten metal trailed across the floor. A few drops of it fell from the Darth's lightsaber in his hand. The sonic bolts crashed into the wall behind the Darth - having apparently been slowed.

A couple slugs dropped from Darth Apparatus. Clear, sharp indents on his metal clad forearms could have been seen. As @[member="Kila Cadau"] entered the Hall, Darth Apparatus turned his head toward the Mandalorian. With no mercy in his eyes, Darth Apparatus flung his second lightsaber at the woman. The whirling weapon appeared as if a glowing red disc as it soared toward its target.

"Welcome, my little adorable friend, and if you have so much faith in your ship, throw a rock at it, let us see if it falls apart."
The droid returned the salute to Racket with the slight mockery of his monotone, stoic voice.
The ground rumbled, Echani Kaertos screamed as they landed, the droid turned his head to see their descent, taking his attention away from insulting the little munchkin in armor at his feet. His photoreceptors zoomed in to see the markings on the landing ships.
"Echani, most curious. Seems our allies have arrived, young Racket, let us say 'hello' shall we?"
HK did not really waited for an answer from the racoon creature, trying to use his build-in communication system to patch in and get in contact with Echani on the ground.
@[member="Kamon Vondiranach"]
"Forces of Echani Compact, this is HK-36.."
The droid looked to Racket then after a moment of silence before shrugging as if saying "What the hell"
"Commander of Omega Pyre Special Task Force during this battle, please, connect me to your officers, I wish to speak with them."
He shut off the transmission then, hoping the short-range communications were still working on the planet and he was able to connect to someone who will respond soon, he looked down at Racket.
"Technically we are a 'Special Task Force' since we are the only Omega Task Force so far.. and I am the highest ranking."

"I think."

As Ashins blade punched a whole through the Dreadlord's Chest Moridin out of pure reaction severed the connection between the two of them. It was like instantly the entire world seemed to face, the black lines between their eyes fizzled and became nothing seemingly evaporating into the air. She had taken into her about a 10th of the souls that he contained within him, a massive chunk.

It was not the end however, The Dreadlord still had strength yet. His blade bit into her chest, and with the force he had been applying to her sword the wound would be more than...unpleasant.

Slowly the Dreadlord looked down at his chest, seeing the orange blade puncture through a space between his ribs. Like a viper he grabbed onto Ashins arm, his massive strength clinging to hold the womans arm in place and keep her Lightsaber from moving even a millimeter.

Then he sliced downward with his blade, cutting further into it and then throwing the sword aside far behind himself and out of range of the force. Then with another viper like strike Moridin threw his hand forth and wrapped it around the woman's throat, instantly tightening his fingers around her slender neck.

Black brackish ooze began to spill from the corners of his mouth, slowly falling to the floor and sizzling on the ground there. The fluid smelled sickening, and as it fell from the corners of his mouth Moridin smirked wider tightening his grip ever more on Ashins throat.

The Darkside rushed through him like a torrent, fueling him, pushing him forward, he would kill her.

Jax ran into the room as Kamon went in for a strike, then reversed and aimed for RC's knee. Lining up his heavy blaster rifle, he let loose three well aimed shots. One at the back of his clavicle, one at his left ankle and one square in his back. Then he flung his the rifle over his back on the strap, next he drew his Slugthrower Pistol and began unleashing hell.
All the while heading for his friend, he kept his eyes on the enemies of the room. Mainly Kamon was his aim.

Ion Cannons Control Center- Second Floor
Unfortunately for Tyrin, HK knew what a force scream was and how it was induced, after all, he just witnessed Darth Apparatus throw one at him and the Mandalorians just a couple of hours ago. As he calculated the throat muscles to tense and warm as Darth Apparatus's muscles did before, HK saw it as his opening, he quckly engaged his vibrosword into a buzzsaw, keeping Tyrin's saber away as he tried to deliver a powerful slash at Sith's face to either knock him out, now without protection of his mask, or stop the scream short.

Even if the blow landed clear, the scream would be good enough to send the droid flying back, HK skipped quickly across the floor as he was sent towards the window, shortly before he would be pushed out, his vibrosword impalled the ground and his lightsaber deactivated. Droid landed with his feet on the floor, clutching to the vibrosword as he gave out a metal groan, his grip faintly started to slip off of the vibrosword's hilt. Soon enough the droid was pushed even farther back, being sent behind the window, but due to his short respone time, he caught the frame with his hands in the last minute. His body hit the outer wall of the building with a loud thud and clank. Droid started to pull himself up, trying to climb back into the corridor.

And HK did not saw Val-Iant enter, he was too taken with the combat, the Sith proved to be one of the best opponents he had in ages.

HK watched the devastation and EMP sweep with fear and awe, thankfully, they were high enough to avoid being hit with the EMP.
"I wonder what that was,"
The droid turned to Jak
"What do you mean what that was? A nuke, they just glassed portion of the city."
HK did not waited too long, immediately sending out a transmission on all allied channels, Echani, Republic, Omega, and Mando.
"To all Allied Forces, this is Commander HK-36, Deathwatch has just detonated a nuclear device outside of Keldabe, specifically at the site of Deathwatch LZ, coordinates will be given after this transmission, all forces advised to stay indoors at the risk of radiation, environment suits and armor with anti-radiation properties highly advised. Air transport will be given to the survivors in the heavy radiation zone, please signal your position with emergency flares. This transmission and coordinates of the nuke'd area will loop until confirmed that the effects of EMP has worn off and all communications are back up."
It was then Jak told HK to pilot the ship
"Take the stick,"
The droid turned to him in surprise, going to sit in the seat and grabbing the control stick
"What do you mean 'Take the stick'? I do not know how to fly a starship."
HK settled down near the surface clumsily as Jak jumped out, droid was not really comfortable at flying starships.
"Okay, hoist us up!"
Droid nodded in the cockpit, pulling up in a fast ascension to get them out of the irradiated area, he flew over the city of Keldabe, watching the storm, trying to pick out any flares that would be shot out from beneath, a signal for survivors calling out for air transport.
