Well that really sucks.

It’s kinda anticlimactic with all the heat we packed into the escort force, but I have to admit we have them pretty badly outnumbered. Realistically, pirates typically don’t like attacking even lightly defended convoys to mitigate their financial losses. Could we say that they saw the size of the escort force and decided the costs weren’t worth it?

I didn’t expect you to die from the turbo lazers at all and a retaliation was to be expected, but there are many things wrong with your post.

Since your Freestar is not equipped with stealth technology, even with your transponder creating a decoy, the Makashis would be detecting two rogue Freestar transports. Burtch would have seen that two Freestars didn’t belong there and would have destroyed both.

Also in which post did you establish that you planted bombs on the Makashis? It would be an excellent plot point, but it seems like you’ve made this up on the spot. Perhaps a different strategy would be more appropriate? I know that Freestars are not equipped with ION bombs, so to get out of your ship and manually attach the bombs to the cruisers would have given your stealth away, and again, Burtch would have shot at you. Again, the Freestars are not equipped with stealth technology.

Perhaps a little more explanation in your posts would help make things clear in the future? Clandestine operations typically require alot of work and planning in order to make them convincing. Especially in a more competitive PVP mission like we are experiencing.

edit: also since the Makashi turbolazers missed, the Moon-class interceptors are now attacking your ship. You don’t have to let them kill you, but this is a problem you should address.
