ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • The BASr has a single high impact shock absorbing foot.
  • The BASr is equipped with high output thrusters on the underside of the shuttle in order to rapidly decelerate.
  • An Ablative heatshield material covering the underside and forward facing hull.

Strengths:
  • High Capacity - The BASr can transport up to 120 standard or large infantry and 3 metric tons (6,613 pounds) of cargo. Additionally, those aboard the BASr can quickly disembark due to the presence of three hangar exits.
  • Meteor - This redesign of the Bantha-class Assault Shuttle incorporates some distinctively Mandalorian designs such as the rapid deployment aspect of the Meteor-class Q-Carrier. The Meteor-class could rapidly descend from orbit to offload troops. This redesign amplifies the shock absorbing capabilities of the original Bantha-class shuttle landing foot to match that of the Meteor-class Q-Carrier's landing gear and makes use of several more reverse thrusters as well as an ablative heatshield to avoid damage during re-entry.
Weaknesses:
  • Straight Shot - Due to the use of Carbon-Nanofilament Armor plating and the high-speed nature of the craft, maneuverability has been severely reduced. Once the BASr is on course there's very little that can be done to stop the craft and the course is extremely hard to alter.
  • Disposable Shields - The Ablative heatshield is only durable enough for one re-entry and then needs to be replaced.
Description:

The BASr is a redesign of the Bantha-class Assualt Shuttle originally manufactured by the Mon Calamari. Taking the prioritization on durability and rapid descent from the Mandalorian Meteor-class Q-Carrier and combining them with the heavy output and capacity of the Mon Calamari shuttle, Bral Metal & Engineering as created the BASr or "Bantha-class Assault Shuttle reproduction". Like the ARC-170r and v-150r , the r-series has at least some modifications in order to better suit the needs of the Bral clan. One of the most notable modifications was the removal of the command superstructure as well as the removal of the hyperdrive in order to support more powerful shield generators and an additional dual medium laser cannon for point defense.

The BASr will be used as a high capacity troop transport as well as a stationary assault platform, sporting dual Quad Turbolaser Cannons and a dual medium laser cannon. Once the BASr makes it to the ground, that's where it is designed to stay until the battle is over.
