    • Starfighters: x squadrons
    • Support Craft: x squadrons
  • Maneuverability Rating: (Choose from: None, Very Low, Low, Average, High, Very High, Extreme. How agile is your ship? Can it take tight turns? This is relative to the size of the vessel (e.g. a Corvette with Low Maneuverability will be more agile than a Star Destroyer with a Low rating.
  • Speed Rating: (Choose from: None, Very Low, Low, Average, High, Very High, Extreme. How fast is your ship in normal space? How fast can it take off, how fast can it speed through a planet's atmosphere? This is relative to the size of the vessel (e.g. a Corvette with Low Speed will be quicker than a Star Destroyer with a Low Speed.)
  • Hyperdrive Class: (The lower the number, the faster the ship. You may use decimals. [Very Slow: 10 | Average: 2 | Very Fast: 0.5] Going below 1 typically requires balancing out with other weaknesses. Links: Hyperdrive, Hyperdrive Comparisons)

DESCRIPTION
The Basileus Battlecruiser was marked for construction under New Imperial Armada Project Classification 7864X1 and from the outset of its construction was conducted so under the strict impression that it would be a grand leadship for the First New Imperial Crusader Fleet. Both the ship and the fleet would be unique first's of their kind. The First New Imperial Crusader Fleet - or First Crusader - was to be designed as a "floating base HQ". It was designed to be an Autonomous Mobile Superiority Fleet, designated a new NIO Armada Designation: Crusader Fleet. As the name suggests, Crusader Fleets are not attached to a certain Sector Group and are under constant "Active Operations" mode They move from sector to sector, theater to theater conducting naval/planetary-assault campaigns either for or in accompaniment to regular NIO Armada Fleets. As such the fleet would need a leadship that could act as both a flying fortress and a operating ship of war.

In order to have these parameters filled certain consultant agents were invited to provide their input. These included: Members of the NIO Naval Engineering Department, Mechanical Engineering Experts of the Technoid Manufactorum, Naval Ship Design Consultants of the Republic Engineering Corporation, and Technical Equipment and Materials Development Experts of Jaeger Solutions. Their combined innovative suggestions and recommendations provided the development of the several unique features of the Basileus. These features are described in more detail below:

Basileus Central Command Superstructure (The Citadel):

MAIN COMMAND BRIDGE

TERTIARY OBSERVATION BRIDGE

DSGC COMMAND CENTER

SHIP BARRACKS AND KNIGHTS QUARTER

Dedicated Semi-Automated Gunnery Centers (DSGC's):

DSGC's [pictured left] are a new naval installation being tested aboard the Basileus. As the name suggests, the DSGC's are semi-automated gunnery centers which provide advanced battle data interpretation and battery targeting, firing, fire adjustment calculations assistance. The DSGC's are mounted by every major battery, beneath the hull and the sub-hull gunnery decks.

The DGSC's allow for the Basileus to have faster reacting, better aimed, better timed, and better calculated bombardments, making its volley of fire highly accurate, highly focused, and extremely concentrated when need it be. This is achieved by the softwares and droid brain's installed in the centers.

Although each center is manned by a small crew [3 Personnel in their own data-center-silo (DCS), with 1 DCS per Battery], the heavy lifting in computational operations is done by the CD-14c Gunner Droid Brain and the SI-C1 "BattleMind" Auxiliary AI. The added TXD DB-SR01x 'Powerslave' Droid Brain assists in "fire-linking" all the batteries to the other software and droid brains. In addition, the Gunnder Droid brain can take over Point Defense Gun operations. This allows gunnery teams to mainly focus on their jobs on the big gun batteries, with very limited actual personnel needed for the other smaller guns. This way more effective firing of Point Defense Guns is possible while, main batteries still operate at full focus. Effectively creating "intelligent" batteries.
