ADVANCED SYSTEMS
  • LO-RIDS: (Rotational Inertial Drift System): Enables high-velocity spin maneuvers while maintaining linear flight path; includes orbit-lock and reverse-fire capabilities
  • LO-Va'karis Shield System: Modular, adaptive shield capable of resistance phasing, localized protection zones, and phase-bleed dissipation for extended durability.
  • Internal Missile Reloading Rack: Rotating internal cartridge feed system allowing reloading of LO-34L single-shot missile tubes.
  • Ejector Cockpit Module: Emergency pilot ejection for survival in critical damage scenarios.
  • LO-PDL-1A Point Defense Laser: Automated short-range energy system designed to intercept incoming projectiles such as missiles, microtorpedoes, or kinetic darts. Provides last-ditch defense when countermeasures fail.
  • LO-MRS1 Electromagnetic Pulse System: Fires a localized EMP burst to disrupt lock-ons, scramble tracking systems, and temporarily disable electronics of nearby craft or projectiles. Requires cooldown after activation.

STRENGTHS
  • Devastating Firepower: Triple weapon platform combines rapid-fire rotary cannon, heavy blasters, and reloadable missile launchers for overwhelming burst damage and sustained assault.
  • LO-RIDS Maneuvering: Offers unparalleled combat agility through spin maneuvers, reverse-firing angles, and orbit-lock targeting in space engagements.
  • LO-Va'karis Defensive Suite: Adaptive multi-layer shielding and localized phase control provide top-tier survivability in prolonged combat.
  • Extended Missile Endurance: Reloading system significantly improves long-term ordnance uptime over typical single-shot configurations.
  • Target Versatility: Effective against starfighters, corvettes, and capital ship surface elements depending on loadout configuration.
  • Advanced Countermeasures - Equipped with sophisticated anti-missile systems including flares and chaff launchers, the Basilisk G-10 is adept at neutralizing incoming threats, enhancing its defensive capabilities.

WEAKNESSES
  • Low Maneuverability: While the LO-RIDS compensates in space, the ship lacks agility in close-quarters or atmosphere-based dogfights.
  • Power Strain from Weapon Loadout: The LO-35R consumes heavy energy; prolonged fire reduces shield regeneration or slows reloading functions.
  • Missile Loader Vulnerability: Internal loading system is a critical failure point if damaged—disabling the ship's primary long-range weapon.
  • Shield Management Delay: Va'karis shield phase-shifting takes several seconds; mistimed swaps can open short-lived defensive gaps.
  • High Pilot Skill Requirement: LO-RIDS demands expert timing and awareness; inexperienced pilots risk disorientation, overcorrection, or collisions during high-speed maneuvers.
  • EMP/Gravitic Threats: Despite shielding, both LO-RIDS and Va'karis systems are vulnerable to ion pulses and gravitic destabilizers.

DESCRIPTION
The Basilisk G-10 is the Lilaste Order's premier heavy starfighter, designed to exceed the battlefield capabilities of its predecessor, the G-9. Developed in response to evolving combat demands, the G-10 fuses enhanced survivability with modular offensive capacity ideal for multi-role operations and fleet-based support.

At its core, the Basilisk G-10 carries a fearsome arsenal: dual wing-mounted LO-14C blaster cannons, a nose-mounted LO-35R rotary gun for close-in saturation fire, and retractable LO-34L missile launchers supported by an internal reloading system for long-range engagements. These systems allow the pilot to adjust firegroups dynamically based on target type and battlefield position.

In terms of protection, the fighter is outfitted with the LO-Va'karis Shield System, providing adaptable phasing, localized defenses, and multi-layer resilience. Supplemented by composite armor and electronic countermeasures, the G-10 can absorb punishing strikes and keep flying.

Its real tactical edge, however, lies in the LO-RIDS system an inertial drift package that allows pilots to spin the craft independently of its flight path. Whether reverse-firing into a pursuer or orbit-locking a cruiser to maintain focused fire, RIDS transforms the G-10 into an unpredictable, precision attack craft.

Although it sacrifices some atmospheric performance and raw speed, the G-10's flexibility, survivability, and devastating payload make it the heavy starfighter of choice for elite Lilaste Order squadrons. It is set to phase out all remaining G-9 units by the end of the next fleet cycle.
