Barragh Nenn
constructed a personal Shadowcloak for himself that borrowed from his cultural heritage. Largely the same as a standard Shadowcloak this variety incorporates an underlay of Egarian Silk and Shell Spider Silk so that the cloak includes the defensive proeprties of both.Egarian Silk is known to absorb electrictiy and Shell Spider Silk can deflect blasterfire and vibroblades. With both woven into the underlay of the Shadowcloak it incorporates these properties. Umbraspider Silk is also woven into the overlay of the Shadowcloak adding its light absorption properties and enhancing the cloaks ability to render its wearer invisible on the ultraviolet spectrum, in dim light or inside an area with only fabricated light sources the wearer can functionally blend with their surroundings and become invisible to the naked eye.

- Electrical Absorption: Egarian silk is known for its properties of electrical absorption. Normally this makes the silk more rigid while also increasing its durability. In this case, the silk functioning as an underlay for the Shadowcloak along with other materials does not lose its elasticity and retains its ability to absorb electricity. Electrical discharge, including force lightning is harmlessly neutralized when it comes into contact with this cloak and rendered inert. Whether it is absorbed by the egarian silk or simply dissipated is a topic for debate however the result remains the same.
- Slashing/Slicing Resistance: A property of the Shell Spider Silk used in the underlay of the Shadowcloak is its ability to deflect vibroblades and other melee weapons used to slash or slice it. Any conventional weaponry attempting to slice through the Shadowcloak will find it incredibly difficult to do so, in most cases such attempts will yield negligible results.
- Blaster Resistant: Another Shell Spider Silk property is the ability to deflect blasterfire. In this case the underlay of the Shadowcloak does exactly that. Typical blasterfire that is of a moderate power relative to standard weaponry deflects off of the cloak harmlessly. More powerful blasterfire, from heavy weaponry transfers its kinetic force through impact with the cloak but the energy itself is largely inert upon impact.
- Situational Invisibility: A typical feature of the Umbaran Shadowcloak is its ability to render the wearer invisible on the ultraviolet spectrum the addition of Umbraspider Silk enhances this ability and incorporates the ability to absorb light as well. The Cloak is capable of absorbing natural and manufactured light rendering the wearer invisible, especially if he remains in shaded areas or those of already dim light. In this way the wearer can slip in and out of areas undetected unless they chose to be seen.
- Bright Light: The Invisibility properties of the Shadowcloak function best indoors. Outside, in bright light or in rooms that are completely lit the Shadowcloak cannot absorb the light necessary to make the wearer functionally invisible. In these cases the Cloak functions as a typical Shadowcloak would with only properties to render the wearer invisible on the ultraviolet spectrum.
- Piercing Attacks: Typically the Shadowcloak is only resistant against slashing and cutting attacks. Piercing attacks might be deflected if they were to catch an edge of the cloak however this is subjective. A precise piercing attack from a sword or knife will penetrate the defensive properties of the cloak.
