Bar thread #2963-A

Jack was bored out of his mind, he had been giving a tour of the Blackwing cloning facilities to several Jen’ari officials, it was almost painful, but this was how you kept a contract, playing nice. Jack knew, if these karking fools decided to drop it nothing shy of an audience with the Dark Counsel would get it back, if he was lucky. Having unleashed the group onto a meeting room and an army of interns to assist them for the rest of the day Jack took the opportunity to kark off to where the 701st usually hung out, and the escort pilots for the officials were invited to join. Jack liked to have fun with his force abilities, so he kick open the door with a force push and lit a cigar with pyrokinesis as he slid into a seat at the improvised bar to watch a game of crashball on one of the holo screens.

Oi, Fazdar, send a bottle down this way, I spent too much time with those friggen arses who think their poodoo don’t stink.” Jack shouted down to the bartender half way down the bar. “I can’t think right anymore, gimme something heavy.”

The bartender took the opportunity to whip a bottle of Corellian rum right at Jack’s face, the act was so casual and without warning that it was clearly a normal thing. Jack, knowingly expect it reached out with the force to slow it down and catch it. “AND A GLASS TOO!” Which followed pretty quickly and was caught in the same manner.

Nicole had graciously accepted when she was asked to serve as an escort pilot for a Jen'ari empire official, she had done quite a few of these escort missions being as she was the best the Jen'ari Navy had to offer in way of fighter pilot, of course she didn't believe this, she was a bit of an introvert, she preferred the comfort of the cockpit of her fighter to a room full of people. But none the less she sat in the corner of the room with her eyes closed thinking, her uniform gleamed a pristine bright white, not a seam out of place. She had been trained to always look her best. Her short blonde hair was tucked neatly up out of her face. As Jack entered she was the only one who didn't bat an eye

Jack and his boots propped up on the bar and his cigar burned down to the butt, he turned his had to scan the room as the game went into intermission, Jack was about to place a bet on the Corellain Runners to win when he noticed someone unfamiliar in the room, he could tell my her uniform she was Jen’ari Navy and not 701st or Nova Wing. Jack pealed his arse out of the barstool and grabbed another glass, it would be nice to snipe a real pilot, someone a cut above the pirate bait transport jockeys or flight school washouts he could scrounge up around here on his own.

Jack slid himself into the booth across from the female pilot and force pushed the now filled clean glass over to her. “Oi don’t look so down mate, jus cuz the rest of the 701st are massive dickheads does mean you have ta spend your time alone.”

The first thing [member="Nicole Callix"] would notice about Jack, was that he did not look the roles his rank patches proclaimed him as, the third rate washed up infantry man look didn’t really scream Sith Apprentice, or owner of a professional mercenary company.

Nicole looked up as the rogue approached her, he didn't look like he should be a sith apprentice or running a mercenary company. As she looked at him the different colored specks in her eyes glimmered. She listened to what he said, and when she spoke her voice did not match her body, it was a bit high pitched but still demanded respect "Much obliged sir" She said every inch of respect she would give any of her superiors. She took the glass and took a swig. She smiled brightly

"Don't worry about that sir poodoo in 'ere mate, 'less someone starts shooting at ya, then you can say it." Jack said pouring himself another shot and yanked out another cigar, using his training in Pyrokinesis to light it.

"You smoke?" Jack asked as he held out another in an offer one to Nichole. As he waited for her answer he continued his line of questioning. "So what brings a lifer like you into our little den of thieves?"

Jack knew most professional soldier's views on mercenaries, thieves, rapists, murderers, combat junkies, and he didn't hide his opinion of a the career solider, calling Nichole a lifer in refereance to her selling her life to the state. Not that Jack was much better, he just did it in short bursts rather than all at once.

"Not often I do not, but hell why not" She said taking the cigar she pulled out a zippo lighter and lit it putting it between her lips, as she listened to him she thought, why was she here "I am here to escort one of the higher ranking officials, they asked me because they say I am the best, I dont believe it at all, I am not the best I just put in the time that I had to, before I made it through combat school I was a mercenary myself"

[member="Jack Anderson"]

"You a merc eh? Guess that explains how a flygirl like you got that scar." Jack said drawing out Nicole's scar on his own face."Pilot through and through or did ya do some ground pounding with your outfit?"

This had Jack interest, merc before turning career solider that was a rarity, it was almost universally the other direction, so Jack had to know more about her career, maybe he would be able to use it to recruit her to Nova Wing, or build a new unit around her.

"aye, I was trained in both piloting and ground fighting, I did a little ground pounding but that was a very short stint, was in a group of elite mercenaries would take anyone out at anytime. ended when I got this scar from some drunk guy on a mission looking for a quickie. I killed him and gutted him. Then my true talent in piloting came out, I was the best most had seen." She said taking a drink, this guy had a bit of roguish charm

[member="Jack Anderson"]

"Sounds like my lot, kill yeah seventy two different ways for half a warm beer and couple a smokes." Jack joked, mostly, they'd taken on some low paying jobs with high risks, just because boredom was starting to become a problem.
"So they stuck you with the job of babysitting the bean counters instead of putting you out on the front line, yeah, them jerk offs must think that you're pretty damn good, otherwise they wouldn't keep trying to hog you fer themselves." As Jack spoke, smoke from the cigar lazily floated out of his mouth, every word giving new shape to the wisps.

[member="Nicole Callix"]

"Well I got one for the next hour or so for fun with a bit of privacy and I got one for the long term, I'll let you pick what one you wanna hear first." Jack said as he took a drink straight from the bottle, his tone was pretty clear that his idea of an hour of fun was a roll in the hay, but didn't really give anything on what the long term idea was.

Jack snubbed out his cigar on the table and took one more drink from the bottle before getting up and leading Nicole though the compound to his room, it, unsurprisingly was close to a turbolift that was suspiciously close to the bar.

[member="Nicole Callix"]

Nicole followed him, ready for what was about to happen. As she stepped inside his room she locked the door behind her and quickly slipped out of her uniform leaving her in just her grey form fitting undergarment the scar on her midriff . She got on his bed ready for anything

Fade to black...

NEXT MORNING

Jack untangled himself from Nicole and sat up on the bed, that sure was a nice distraction, it wasn't why he spoke to Nicole, but he wouldn't mind getting distracted again a few more times before moving on. Jack picked up the datapad on the night stand, breakfast would be nice, so he sent a message to one of the army of interns that worked around the facility. 'Oi, Bantha brain, eggs, nerf strips, toast, and caf. Enough for two, and not the "enough for two because I'm really hungry." I mean there's actually two of us in here, so bring enough for four, and don't let Mathius bring it up, he smells like a tuntaun's arsehole.'

He sent it off and laid back waiting either for food, or Nicole to wake up.

Nicole rolled over to see that Jack had already awoken, last night she had the time of her life, she had never rolled over after hooking up with someone to find them still beside her. She kicked the covers off and smiled at Jack "That was Lovely" She said. She moved a bit closer to him as the food arrived she very quickly put the blankets back on while they delivered the food, the smell was amazing, almost heavenly. "Smells amazing" She said before taking the blankets back off and moving close again

Jack got himself a nice eyeful of Nicole as she uncovered herself, Jack didn't see much as worth fighting for, he did it because he didn't know what else to do with his life, but that, that was a sight worth fighting for, it was a shame when she had to cover back up as someone came in with a pair of massively over pilled trays for breakfast and knowing look on their face, there was no hiding what had happened last night, and Jack didn't care to even try.

"Aye, I'd say it was more than jus' lovely." Jack said, that sort of poetic, careful, language wasn't really his style, karking fun was more along Jack's was of speaking, now he just had to figure out how to non-awkwardly figure out how to squeeze in that one, minor, bit of business that he originally when after Nicole for, though it could wait until after breakfast.

[member="Nicole Callix"]

Nicole cracked a grin as she noticed him trying to imitate her speech patterns, that was flattery in its truest form. She moved a bit closer wrapping her arms around his chest saying "You are amazing you know that right? Also what was that other business you had to discuss with me?" She asked sensing his discomfort

[member="Jack Anderson"]

"Eh, jus' was wonderin' if ya wanted another job once yer contract with the government runs out, I could always use a good pilot, teach somma this amatures what the kark they should be doin' out there." Jack said between mouthfuls of scrambled eggs and caf, it was flattering to be called amazing like that, but Jack didn't let it show, much more than a hint.

[member="Nicole Callix"]

Nicole started to eat, as she began to think of the things she would do once her contract was up she thought of the places she could go to live out her life in peace but then she realized that she had never been one for sitting around and doing nothing, so she figured she would take him up on the offer but first she wanted to ask something "Could I spend a lot of time with you? Because that would definitely be a plus"
