Description: The Bant'ena Fhernan Starport featured, prior to the expansion works undertaken by the First Order in the wake of the Summit, thirty-five gates for passenger spacelines or light tramp freighters, fifteen of which would be actual gates in the main terminal and the other 25 being parking slots on the tarmac, and six landing pads capable of accommodating CR90-sized ships. They could be combined to service a Maersk-class ship or an AA-9 freighter. It was also known to be the main starport on Lanteeb. It also featured a control tower, an hypermatter reservoir, as well as a warehouse. It was capable of processing 10,000 passengers and 100,000 tons of cargo a day. It is notorious for its use of gothic elements in its architecture, due to a Raxus Secundus-based architect firm designing the starport, with its design team headed by the sisters Emmeline and Genevieve Rajaion, the younger sisters of Raxus-native novelist Carmen Rajaion. It also features a food court, with one location of TKFC.
History: Named in honor of the Lanteeb martyr of the Clone Wars, Bant'ena Fhernan, the main starport of Lanteeb was built with seized funds from the estate of Lok Durd at the conclusion of the Clone Wars. It remained largely unchanged as the Lanteeban economy stagnated for centuries. With the addition of Lanteeb among the Beaches of the Dark Side series of vacation packages by Star Tours, as well as the promises of economic growth on Lanteeb by the First Order, Lanteeb found itself with insufficient spaceport capacity to grow economically. During the Economic and Commerce Summit, held on Bespin, one of the announcements made concerning Lanteeb included the expansion of the Bant'ena Fhernan Starport.
