DESCRIPTION
Baktoid Industries has gone through turmoil and chaos in the past few decades. First, it was headed by those with questionable moral standing and common sense, followed by slipping into obscurity for the past decade. Now, under control by a new face and guided by new ideas, it has reshaped its structure and moved its operations to the Corporate Sector. There it focuses on the construction of cutting-edge tech in the shape of droids and other assorted military equipment.
Baktoid Industries has also gone through change in terms of product portfolio as they attempt to expand into markets other than the war/military market with the introduction of civilian, labor and even repair droids. Nonetheless, the defence/military market remains the largest ‘piece of the pie’ for Baktoid taking over 80% of the company’s budget for production and over 80% in terms of annual revenue.
RATIONALE
With Baktoid Industries plunging into decline over the last decade, its value significantly dropped. Finding a golden opportunity in taking it over due to its already existing strong foundation and infrastructure, Kalo Draxler invested a serious amount of funds to claim 51% of the company’s shares.
Draxler’s goal was to use this investment in order to develop a powerful droid manufacturing company to fill the ever increasing needs for droids throughout the galaxy. His idea is to expand the portfolio of the company by introducing droids for different markets i.e civilian, labor and etc, rather than focusing on military solely as it had been done before.
On a personal level, acquiring Baktoid Industries is to Kalo a big step in his quest to accumulate power and influence in the galaxy.
