SPECIAL FEATURES
  • N/A
Strengths:
  • The droid is capable of cutting through a majority of tree types to clear a pathway for an advancing army to go through on Forest worlds such as Kashyyyk or the Forst moon of Endor.
  • The Chainsaws are also capable of cutting through and into basic structures and defenses, Semi-thick Stone being the toughest they could go through before having obvious problems. This means if someone made a makeshift barricade out of furniture, then they could easily cut through it.
Weaknesses:
  • The lack of Arm Mounted Blasters means that like other units before it, it's unable to defend itself long Range. This means that droids like the B1-SF, B1-SFO, or even the B1-M (If it has been deployed) would have to provide cover fire for the B2-CS while it does its job or heads to its destination.
  • Like the B1-SF, the Droid is not as intelligent as one would hope, making them more aggressive and susceptible to being taken down by enemy fire. The plus, like the B1-SF, is that they are more lethal this way, though this unit would have to charge at the enemy to be useful with this aggression.
DESCRIPTION
Like the B1-M, the idea of Terrain specific droids was needing to be exploited, especially with the different types of planetary terrain the Galaxy had to offer. The Volcanic Worlds had already been covered, so Forest Worlds were next, and the planned on making a B1 version instead of a B2...until it was discovered the C.I.S used the B2 Chainsaw Droid during the Battle of Simocadia in the Clone Wars Era. Once this information had come to light, and the schematics for the droid were later uncovered, they B2-CS was put on the assembly lines.
