SPECIAL FEATURES
  • N/A
Strengths:
  • The droid is able to mow down large amounts of infantry, due to the rapid-fire capabilities of its arm-mounted weapons.
  • The arms have been reinforced to account for the extra weight the new weapons have packed on
  • Secondary function can be to provide cover fire for units unable to defend themselves while moving to a target, such as the B2-P Pummeler Battle Droid, or the Anti Air Battle Droids.
Weaknesses:
  • The droid is less intelligent than most battle droids, causing it to be more aggressive and more likely to be taken out by the enemy, although this does have the plus of making it additionally lethal.
  • Due to the recoil caused by the repeating blaster cannons, the accuracy of these units is not as precise as standard Battle Droids, making them more likely to hit and kill friendly units.
DESCRIPTION
As the Anti Air Battle Droids were being developed, the issue with lack of defensive capabilities, either up close or at all had been addressed in the past, though a solution for the problem did not come in changing the designs of these droids but in making a new droid all together. With the creation of the B1-SF Battle Droid, the most attractive targets could now be easily defended by these droids, capable of holding back dozens of units on it own, but in a squad could potentially kill hundreds. The only issues with the droid were that of the recoil from the arm-mounted medium sized repeating blaster cannons, which could cause the unit to inadvertently kill friendly units, and the lackluster resources put into making the droid an intelligent one, causing it to be more aggressive with its positioning and more likely for it to be destroyed.
