Description:
The Boar-Wolf Medium Fighter comes as an attempt to fill the gap in Blood Hunter's first generation of fighter craft. One that was only partially successful. In early development the primary focus of the project was to provide the company with a fighter both durable enough to survive extended combat missions, and versatile enough to compensate for the ever changing battlefield. With it's multiple layers of armor plating and advanced shield generators, the Boar-Wolf is certainly a rugged craft. It's shortcomings arrived during the selection of it's armaments.
With two Laser Cannons and two Light Repeating Laser Cannons, the Boar-Wolf sports a main gun for any target. Rapid firing cannons to engage enemy fighters and bombers, and solid cannons specifically calibrated for engaging capital ship emplacements. This leaves the heavier cannons poorly suited to tracking swift fighter craft. The split focus of it's primary weapons leaves the Boar-Wolf less capable when compared to more focused fighter craft.
This issue persists with it's missile selection. With only two concussion missiles, the Boar-Wolf has extremely limited capabilities when engaging the average bomber and capital ship. This is only marginally offset by the eight nano missiles the vessel boasts, which are exceptionally suited for craft of comparable size that it might come against; fighters and interceptors.
