Awakening (Permitted players only)

"Thank you for the suggestion, and for the metal." Kallion picked up the box of metal then turned to the data core And... I actually bid an extra, 200 credits for the core." He said while putting down the 1,010 credits the droid requested "And do you know if these people even have proof that they have all these credits..." Kallion chuckled "At least I have proof that I've earned my credits."

"I have my accounts to prove I have the finances necessary to purchase this data core. Three point five million credits." [member="The Shadow"] [member="SARI"] [member="Kallion"]

"I also have my accounts. I will offer you all that I have saved in these last years: six million credits." Shadow turned to Circe, "That is my final offer."

Shadow then leaned forward, again to whisper, "If you take this from me I will hunt you down and take it from you."

Smiling, she moved in, whispering to him. "You can try." Leaning back, she smiled. "Seven million credits." Turning back to the figure that had threatened her, she smiled. "Tell you what. Once I'm done with this core, you can have it. Gratis. Fair enough?"

[member="SARI"] [member="The Shadow"]

C482 picked up the data core. "Now now. I will not have you giving up all of your savings for one little data core. That is both impractical and cruel on my part. I will sell to the woman." It said, and placed the core in a tiny box with a lid before handing it to her. "Thank you for buying from my wares. Have a lovely day, miss."

Shadow grinned. "Very well," he said. He turned to the droid with a face filled with disappointment. "She wins..." he glanced at her, "..for now." Shadow backed off and waited for her to complete the transaction.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
And it was with a smile that Circe stepped out. Her hand immediately went towards her blaster as she cradled the core in her other arm, smiling as she returned to her ship. Its secrets would soon be unlocked - once she inserted it into her ship's core unit, that was. Doing so would allow the software and hardware that comprised the functional data core to initialize.

"This is the big moment..."

[member="SARI"] [member="The Shadow"]

Shadow wasn't let her go easy. He went with her to her ship, he wasn't going to get ripped off. "Hopefully this has something useful on it," he mumbled to himself as she did as well.

As the data core is touched by human skin, it begins to thrum slightly. Upon further inspection, a small blue light appears to be pulsing at the top of it. The pulse gets faster and faster, until it becomes one solid blue light. The light lifts from the data core, and hovers a few inches above it. And then....

"Wow..." And as she said so, she began silently moving to transfer the contents of the data core into her ship's mainframe, which the core was connected to, in an attempt to empty it and allow the mysterious figure to have the empty data core as a historical curiosity. "Hologram, are you able to be interacted with?"

SARI blinked a few times. "Analyzing... are you attempting to download me into your ship's mainframe? If so, you don't need to do so via my core. There's a data chip on the right side of my core that's removable. It'd save you a lot of time to just remove it and insert it into your main computer module." She said, smiling.

"Oh. Well, that's convenient, then." She smiled, still somewhat mesmerized by the distinctly human body. Removing the chip, she quickly inserted it into the mainframe of the vessel. "There we go... What's your name?" The rest of the data on board the core was also copied, and with a tug, she removed the data core, handing it to [member="The Shadow"]. "All yours now."

SARI took a few seconds before she appeared again, flying through every system on the ship. She absorbed every bit of information she could find. Once more, she appeared to the two people, her body a bit bigger because of the change in environment. "Thank you. My name is SARI. That stands for Self-Aware Reconstructed Intelligence. Ask me anything you want to know."

"Hmm... Alright. What's the answer to life, the universe, and existence as we know it?" She already knew the answer of course, but this AI... it seemed most certainly intriguing. "I'm going to need to take you with me... You and I have a lot to do, sweetie."

"Many people would give different answers to that question. Two of which come to my mind. The first is the answer that Dr. Sarina Reeve deduced long ago: Life is made up of molecules. These molecules make up atoms. These atoms make up cells, and cells make up all things. Cells are in people, animals, plants, objects, planets, and even the stars. They are the reason that we are considered to be living. The second answer comes from the philosophy of Force-users. Inside of every being, there are mediclorians. These mediclorians are what make and maintain all life, guiding us everyday. We call this the Force. Some of us possess more mediclorians than others, and can use them and even communicate with them. That is why they are called Force-users. Personally, I believe that both theories are the essence of everything. " SARI said. When the woman said that they were leaving, SARI cocked a brow. "Where are we going? And if you're planning to disassemble me, I'm gonna stop you right there."

"Please, you're too... too shapely to be disassembled. Too beautiful. Not in an artistic way, if you assume I'm going to keep you around as some sort of trophy. You'd be mistaken." She smiled, examining the hologram from all angles. "Who made you?"

Shadow was interested in this core, but now he was even more interested. Why? It turned out to be some sort of artificial intelligence. It wasn't technology you found everyday. Shadow stepped forward to ask a question. "Greetings, SARI. I am Shadow. I have a simple question: Is Darth Revan dead?"

The question was one that hadn't been answered for years. He didn't expect this AI to know it either. He just wanted clues or leads. She would have them, hopefully.

SARI laughed, holding up her hands. "Whoa, whoa! One question at a time. I only have one mouth!" She turned to the woman. "I was built by renowned doctor and scientist Sarina Cornette Alisandra Reeve. Primarily, I exist to immortalize Dr. Reeve's memoirs, accomplishments, and mindset. Secondarily, I exist to learn, to teach, and to process all that I see and hear until my own thoughts, memories, and opinions are formed." Next, she turned to the man. "The last known whereabouts of Darth Revan were in his foundry in the mid-rim. A strike team from the Empire had been sent there to kill him because he was planning to destroy them. However, when they had finally fought him into a corner, something remarkable occurred. According to eye-witness accounts, Revan used a large surge of Force energy to vanish into thin air. He was not seen again. I suspect that because no remains of any kind were ever discovered that he did, in fact, survive. Due to his age of over 300 years at the date of his disappearance though, I assume that he died a few years later."

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
A smile crossed the lips of the Echani-looking woman as she considered the circumstances of the entire situation. "I'll bet she was quite the looker." A chuckle exited her mouth as she turned back towards SARI. "Well... I'm going to transfer you to a private mainframe. Perhaps give you a body to use, and put you to work for me - with adequate compensation, of course. There's lots you can probably do."
