- Unit Name: Avril Squadron
- Affiliation: Commonwealth Starfighter Corps - Imperial Commonwealth of Dosuun
- Classification: Fighter pilots
- Description: Avril Squadron is an elite ISF-47B heavy TIE fighter unit serving within the Imperial Commonwealth of Dosuun's Starfighter Corps. Operating from the battlecruiser King Heramses, the squadron is commanded by the ace pilot Major Domar, a veteran of numerous campaigns in the Western Reaches. The ISF-47B, with its reinforced hull plating, dedicated shielding and extended weapons loadout, grants Avril Squadron the firepower and durability necessary for high-risk operations.
Specializing in starfighter combat and armed escort missions, the squadron has developed a reputation for precision strikes against hardened space targets and for safeguarding high-value convoys through contested space. Though officially assigned to the King Heramses's area of operation, Avril Squadron is frequently detached for strike operations beyond sector borders, often appearing without warning to deliver decisive, overwhelming force. Their silver hull markings have become a feared sight among insurgents and rival fleets alike, earning them a reputation as the "Wardens of the Reaches."

- Combat Function: Avril Squadron's primary mission is aggressive starfighter combat, specializing in engaging enemy interceptors, bombers, and capital ships in the unforgiving vacuum of space. Operating within friendly territory, they excel at deep-strike operations, penetrating enemy lines to cripple fleets and disrupt an enemy's offensive with ruthless precision. All pilots in their respective sector defense fleet execute the same strategies, but Avril Squadron is one of the more effective. Their attacks are swift and calculated, often leaving adversaries in disarray before they are able.
When not spearheading defensive campaigns, Avril Squadron fulfills its secondary role as an elite armed escort unit. Whether safeguarding high-ranking dignitaries, military officials, or vital cargo, they provide an impenetrable shield against any hostile threat. Through meticulous route planning, coordinated formations, and adaptive combat tactics, the squadron ensures safe passage from point A to point B—often through contested or high-risk sectors where failure is not an option. Their unity, discipline, and unshakable resolve make them one of the most trusted and formidable assets in the Imperial Commonwealth's Starfighter Corps.

Avril Squadron had it's genesis shortly after the King Heramses was recommissioned as a Dosuunian Commonwealth starship. Since then, the squadron is the most decorated in the fleet, flying in over 50 missions and serving the Zola Defense Sector ever since.
Avril Squadron's efforts in the Attack on Samovar were a large part of their legacy. They single-handedly defended the planet from the Blackstar Raiders. In battle, Avril Squadron systematically target the enemy ships in a coordinated attack that left them powerless. The Blackwater Raiders, or what was left of them, were imprisoned in the finest correctional facility in the Commonwealth.
A year after Samovar, Avril Squadron was tasked with overseeing a prisoner exchange. The exchange went awry and Major Domar was left stranded on Timora. His squadron presumed him alive, but Commonwealth Navy Command was prepared to name him KIA. Stranded in a tropical jungle and without a way to send a message home, Domar resorted to living off the land for almost two months until his squadron managed to stage a search and rescue for their commanding officer. When Domar returned, he was given his honors for surviving in a hostile environment as well as honors for his squadron for their bravery and loyalty to their commander.
