Description:

The Avenger is the product of battlefield experience against the One Sith. In the struggle to defend Alderaan Admiral Stahlmann found his capital ships taking an undesirable pounding from One Sith Dreadnoughts at a longer range than most of his own ships could reply. Though that battle was eventually won, the lesson was learned, and the Republic’s heavy capital ships needed considerable upgrading to be competitive.

Thus the Avenger was constructed to operate as a mobile artillery battery, using its formidable hypervelocity cannons and long range weapons to pound the enemy from a distance until battle was joined. Then, it would close in, using its fearsome heavy batteries to smash an enemy to pieces.

As such, the Avenger needs to be supported and protected to ensure its weaknesses are not exploited. Firstly, although it mounts some defence guns, it does not mount many, and has no fighters in its own hanger to defend it. Secondly, the ship’s ability to fight escorts and smaller ships is limited by its heavy guns. The ship is also slow and cumbersome, making an enemy able to get behind it able to inflict considerable damage

Do you mean 3 of these? A long range hypervelocity cannon is 50 on its own!

May I perhaps recommend an advanced shield system or alternatively advanced targeting system to aid long range fire? :)

[member="Friedrich Stahlmann"] So I've been reminded that there is a relatively new rule that all guns with a value of over 40 need a separate tech sub.

You'll need to submit the hypervelocity guns, or ask to purchase the ones made by Subach and CEC
