Despite what the
link says otherwise, the
Attrition-class Star Destroyer, known to it's Commander and crew as the
Obscurity, was the property of a Sith Lord known as Darth Vazela. Perhaps the Factory Judges of the time ignored said writers pleas for it to be transferred to the Lords of the Fringe, despite agreements being made with the owner of the realm known as Star Wars: Chaos, but alas, that is for another time. The beginning of a legacy unfolds...
----
Artist impression of what the Obscurity looks like.
In the time of the Sith Empire, which was subsequently destroyed by Sith incompetence, Jedi heresy and Mandalorian revenge long after it's creation, lived a Sith Lord by the name of Darth Vazela. During the reign of one Tyrin Ardik, Vazela was the Lord of Sector III, which was one of three sectors that the Dark Lord of the Sith decided to split his Empire into, in which three Sith Lords would govern and control all worlds in their particular sector. It was the Dac system that laid in Vazela's sector and it was the Mon Calamari and their legendary shipyards that had constructed the
Attrition-class Star Destroyer dubbed: the
Obscurity. Perhaps it was sheer bad luck or the Force itself, but a then Mand'alor by the name of [member="Mia Monroe"] had led an attack on the Dac system as the
Obscurity was being constructed. Thwarted by Vazela and a dozen other Sith, including a then younger Sith Knight Tyrin Ardik, Monroe withdrew from Dac defeated, but left one of a few Star Destroyers in the galaxy capable of cloaking intact. What a weapon. What a mind who had been responsible for it's design and creation. Unluckiness on the Mandalorians part.
Towards the end of Vazela's time as a Sith Lord, an invitation had been sent by [member="Ashin Varanin"], one time Sith Empress Decimus and creator of the Fringe Confederacy. Agreements were made between the Sith Lord and Dark Jedi, from which he would become a "Lord of the Fringe" and the
Obscurity would be transferred to the control of the Fringe Confederate, on the basis that if summoned, Vazela and his vessel would serve the Fringe. In return, the Star Destroyer was effectively his to use, having free access to Fringe systems and to do as he pleased.
And that was how the
Obscurity fell under Malus Bligh's control. Despite the disappearance of Vazela, the agreements between the
Obscurity, it's crew and it's Commander were still intact. Ashin (or Decimus to the crew) had stopped the latter in slaughtering the crew and in return for her mercy, Bligh and his crew felt obligated to assist the Fringe in it's time of need. But currently, the
Obscurity was his to do with and with whispers of the Sith slowly reconstructing their Empire, Bligh's first loyalties to the Sith first and Fringe second.
It was time for him to come back to service.
The
Obscurity dropped out of hyperspace in the Morellia system. Malus, who found himself in the command seat center to the bridge of the Star Destroyer, began to issue orders to his officers.
"Engage our Annihilator generators. Begin sweep of the entire system. Issue orders to our barracks for all security teams and pilots to head to their stations and designated craft. Track all in and out going transmissions. We'll soon ascertain who is the enemy."
