Strengths:
High weaponry count allows the Avarice to hit incredibly hard for a cruiser
Weaknesses:
No anti-attack craft guns does leave the ship more vulnerable to small craft attacks
Description:
After the events of Manaan, Darth Arcanix determined that an overhaul of the Sith fleet was needed, and to that end, she started an initiative known as the Sin series of starships. The first ship of this new series is the Avarice-class Bulk Cruiser, a throwback to the old Victory-class cruisers of the Galactic Empire in terms of strength and role.
Sporting twenty standard turbolasers (in four batteries of five), twenty heavy double turbolasers in the same grouping arrangement as the standard turbolasers, sixteen heavy ion cannons (in four batteries of four), and sixty concussion missile tubes arranged around the ship, the Avarice can hit incredibly hard for a ship of its class. The Avarice also has a hanger bay large enough to contain two squadrons of fighter craft or bombers, depending on the commanding officer's whims.
The ship is slower than other cruisers, as it has weaker engines than standard in the current days, and has no additional armoring or shielding beyond a standard layout. The hanger can also be considered a weakness as it is not as large as other ships, but the firepower benefits were deemed more important. A real weakness to the Avarice is the lack of defensive guns against small fighter and bomber craft, making sure it has to rely on its own fighters and other support ships to protect it.
