Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Well, that was a bummer.

The last instance of Circe Savan unveiling a new generation of Imperial starships had resulted in less than stellar looks from Helmut. In truth, he seemed far too bored, having fallen asleep before things even began. "Maybe he was drugged or something, I dunno." Regardless, it was time for the handiwork to be displayed once again, this time to more than a single viewer.

"Alright, ladies and gentlemen. Please take your seats. The presentation is about to begin."

Juthan sat in the chair with a Mandolorian Wine in front of him, he had seen Circe more than once and now was watching a presentation of her new Star Destroyer. Perhaps this Star Destroyer would interest him and cause him to look into acquiring one some time in the future. But that was unimportant at the time as he had notes to take and his opinion to give. Taking out a datapad he opened a file and waited for Circe to begin and give her report, this was sure to interest him in the end, useful or not to him. @[member="Circe Savan"]

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Across from the transparisteel window on the space station, a new starship entered the system. This vessel looked intriguingly familiar - almost identical to the Imperial-class Star Destroyer, albeit with domes and what appeared to be a secondary bridge below the primary one.

"I'd like to introduce you to the Interdictus-class Star Destroyer. The new interdictor, based off the Imperator hull frame, uses gravity well generators literally ripped out of the hulks of Captivitas-class Star Destroyers. The frame was easy to build, and we kept costs down with the old design, but it's still not a front-line destroyer. It is, though, more defensible than the Thrawn we currently field as an interdictor."

Juthan nodded and looked over his datapad at the notes then looked back up and spoke. "The interdiction fields and their gravity well generators. I apoligize but the last one ive seen in action was an old Immobilizer 418 that i had come across so how does this ship generate the field without the bulges that its predecessors are rather trademarked with?" @[member="Circe Savan"]

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"It has the bulges right there on the superstructure... Each one contains two gravity well generators, each from a Captivitas. With our reuse of said interdiction devices, though. there is literally only one Interdictus for every eight Captivitases. This may significantly decrease the size of our already limited interdiction fleet, in cooperation with the Thrawn, but an Interdictus is far more defensible than the inferior Captivitas."

Which was indeed true. It had dozens more guns than the smaller 6km warship.

"You talk about it being more defensible, how does achieve such a thing? A stronger hull, thicker shields, more firepower, or a larger fighter complement?" He made more notes as she spoke, making sure to record anything of relevance for him to review later, this was an interesting ship already, definitely worth the time it was taking for this meeting. But he would like, and almost crave, to know everything about the ship. Every non-classified detail, every possibility of use.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"All of them. This thing is bigger, more lethal, and capable of interdicting up to four hyperspace lanes at once, preventing ships from coming both directions and forcing their hyperdrives to bring them back into realspace."

She smiled, watching as the ship got to work activating its gravity well generators. "Observe as this ship brings a quartet of Invictus-class Star Destroyers, all coming from individual directions, out of hyperspace."

And several seconds later, the ships were forced out of hyperspace, as originally stated.

"What type of shields does the ship run on and where were they obtained or developed?" He leaned forward, curious now by the display, his eyes scanned over the far off ship to measure its worth best he can. Every moment this ship interested him more and more and every moment it delivered what was promised but he needed more on this ship to be able to ever back it. "As an after thought, what are the Engine units, the Generator, and the speed of the ship. Sublight and hyperspace." @[member="Circe Savan"]

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
A simple hologram display would find itself summoned to @[member="Juthan'Athar"]'s hand, detailing the specifications and whatnot of the Interdictus. "All you need to know can be read here, my Chiss friend. There's no reason to go so in-depth with this when the answers are right in front of you."

The Invictuses exited the system, returning to their training posts as the Interdictus itself prepared to exit the field of play. It was time for another, more classified sort of ship to enter the field of play.

"Interesting, i would very much like to see what this could truly do in a scenario where the ship has to actually pit itself against an enemy. Now, i assume there is more for me to see miss Savan, or did i assume wrong?" He looked up from the file while he waited for an answer, meanwhile in his head he was going over what he had seen. The ship had potential, but he wasn't quite sure how much weight he had in a decision like this. Perhaps his voice might be heard and after the successful demonstration of the Gravity Well Generators that he had seen, he was wondering what more the ship had to offer. @[member="Circe Savan"]

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"There is, yes."

Entering the system now was an... unorthodox ship. It followed the Imperator revision as said vessel exited the system. Shaped more rectangularly, it looked nothing like a "standard" Star Destroyer, a shape nowhere near resembling that of an arrow.

"The following ship you're about to look over is classified. Stating any information you've learned of this vessel to someone not authorized to hear about it is punishable with immediate execution. Understood?"

@[member="Juthan'Athar"]

Juthan nodded and leaned forward, looking out and setting the Datapad down as he stared. "Fully understood Miss Savan, i am interested though, why the design and what makes it so top secret?" He studied it making as many mental notes as he could. @[member="Circe Savan"]

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"This warship design was developed for the Empire's highest ranking authorities. Twelve of these vessels have been made. One belongs to the Emperor himself, one to each of the three Sith Lords, one to Imperial research and development, and one to the Inquisitorius. The whereabouts of the other six vessels are not to be disclosed at this time, unfortunately."

After all, this was advanced technology.

@[member="Juthan'Athar"]

Juthan thought over the design of the ship and looked over its surface best he could, taking mental notes in place of physical ones due to the secrets the vessel held. "Its armament, anything out of the ordinary that makes it so secretive? I mean, it doesnt seem that potent a battleship from this distance so i can't see its usefulness." He turned his inquisitive stare to circe and waited for her response. This was certainly and interesting ship, something that even without its specs revealed was certain to give Juthan a second thought on its design. @[member="Circe Savan"]

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"Working off of solid gun count, the Observator carries significantly more firepower than the Tulak Hord or the Ranator, both ship-to-ship and anti-fighter wise. Its fighter complement is superior, with the new generation TIE Harbingers serving as its primary interceptor, the TIE Dominus elite fighter and TIE Spectre stealth fighter also finding places in its complement. Galaxys are, of course, still utilized as the promary bombers, despite the overall decreased crew count due to significant advances in system automation. The ship itself, for all its combat capability, can also carry a prefabricated garrison base, allowing fleets who utilize it to drop troop complements without sacrificing anti-warship firepower."

The Observator was, of course, limited production. Once the twelve prototypes had seen their testing, the Observator would potentially find itself use as a command ship for larger fleets.

@[member="Juthan'Athar"]

Juthan thought over the information he had been told and then stared directly at Circe and spoke. "And why, might i ask, are you revealing such a thing to me. I understand my usefulness in seeing the interdictor, but this ship is under the highest classified information. I know it doesn't pertain really to this meeting nor to questions about the ship but i am just interested in why you are showing me it." He steeples his fingers and smiled at the woman once he finished.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"This vessel will soon be widespread amongst the Imperial Navy. Well... widespread enough that its deployment isn't secret anymore. Besides, I was obligated per orders to show an apprentice this vessel."

She sighed as a new ship entered the area, a cruiser in this case. "Ah... the Vindican. Our new heavy cruiser. Superior to the XoXaan in most respects, the Vindican lasts far longer and requires less resupplying than a XoXaan. It can run in the field for extended periods of time."

@[member="Juthan'Athar"]

Juthan nodded and looked over the new cruiser, examining it closely as he sat back in his chair. "And what is different about it other than the field time, more armament, a higher number of fighters? Id just rather know what makes it so superior to the former." He looked back down and let his eyes rest once more on the woman. He had more questions about the much larger and unorthodox ship but those would have to wait for now. @[member="Circe Savan"]

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
"The Vindican carries more fighters, has superior anti-fighter armament, and has capable anti-capship weaponry. The XoXaan has heavier guns, but is far more vulnerable to bombers. It will remain in the inventory as an 'assault cruiser,' but the Vindican will take over the heavy cruiser role, with a few XoXaans being decommissioned."

After all, balance was key, and the XoXaan required resupplying far too often.

@[member="Juthan'Athar"] @[member="Garoth Do'Urden"]

Juthan nodded and thought over the ship, it would be more useful and be stronger than its counterpart, allowing for it to be a much better ally on the battle field but there was something that he was interested on. "ITs crew, would this ship require a greater crew than the last to maintain it, it sounds as if with all these upgrades the ship will need much more working on it to keep it in working condition." @[member="Circe Savan"]
