Aurel was born on Coruscant. Her mother was a Jedi master and her father was an infamous smuggler. Her mother died at her birth. She was raised and taught by her father until the age of 16. She inherited her lightsaber from her mother. From childhood, she showed sensitivity to the Force and a knack for business. She earned her first credits as a trader or petty smuggler. After her father's death, she flew to Yavin IV to meditate and explore her bond with the Force. She adopted the code of the Gray Jedi, treading the line between the dark and light sides of the Force. At 22, she returned to her trade as a smuggler.
