- In standard configuration, can accommodate a wide variety of ordnance
- In endurance and torpedo configurations, can drop bombs/torpedoes without need for resupply
- Slim flank profile
- High mobility
- SLAM allows for either a boost of speed or maneuverability in a pinch
- Stealth capabilities
- The stealth capabilities can be defeated by tracking its magnetic signature or in a dust cloud
- In standard configuration, limited ordnance
- In endurance and torpedo bombing configurations, unstable ordnance launchers can take out the craft in prolonged use (about 5 minutes of continuous operation of the bomblet generator and energy torpedo launcher respectively)
- Exposed engines
- Continuous use of the SLAM can cause engines or maneuvering thrusters to overheat
Prior to the capture of Ringo Vinda by the Sith Empire, the Atrisia fighter was in an advanced development stage, codenamed J-31 at the time, with rumors that its maiden flight resulted in the prototype escaping with the project lead at its controls. Of course, given the stealth capabilities, it had the capabilities to outfit all the configurations of other fighters produced up to this point, and also to provide stealth capabilities that were usable in atmosphere as much as in orbit or deep space. It also features a new SLAM, but given the native mobility capabilities, there were limits to the boost it could provide to either speed or maneuverability, and, as with the Chiloon-V, the SLAM cannot be used for prolonged periods since engine or maneuvering thruster damage could ensue. And finally, the stealth suite can be defeated by either flying in a sufficiently dense dust cloud or by tracking its magnetic signature.
