Atrisia II: Electric Boogaloo

atrisia+01.png
The collapse of the Galactic Alliance had given rise to all manner of problems.

The threat posed by the First Order loomed larger with each passing day. First it was the declaration of mandates, effectively annexing Atrisia's sovereignty under this Sith-Imperial divide that the two empires had concocted for themselves. Then, it was attacks on the Coalition. Now, it was dictates of identification. Branding every non-First Order citizen who passed through their territory.

The First Order Navy was imposing blockades against the Coalition. The Sith Empire were imposing blockades on the Commenori. Trade and travel were becoming things of the past. The two empires might as well be pushing them all back into the Four Hundred Years Darkness.

It was more than a little distressing.

And that was without the populists. Half his constituents wanted to join the First Order, ostensibly to get out in front of the inevitable on their own terms... and the other half wanted to declare war on the First Order.

Somewhere in the middle were the dying generation of veterans from Emperor [member="Akio Kahoshi"]'s Atrisian Empire, who spoke of the golden age when Atrisia's power and prestige had swept all the way from the Core to Wild Space.

Shoma, of course, hadn't even been alive then.

The division of Imperialists and Populists that formed Atrisia's major political agendas had left the struggling young prince at something of an impasse. It was difficult to get any kind of legislation through the Diet in the present environment. The Senate was locked in debate. The Imperialists would put forth a motion to open formal relations with the First Order and the Populists would immediately put forth two motions in opposition. Meanwhile, there were trade partnerships and health care reform measures that were lapsing as those programs became lost in the harried debate over whether [member="Sieger Ren"] was the key to their salvation or a war criminal.

On the advice of Fong, the young prince had ventured to the Temple of Xiwangmu in order to meditate on the Living Force. Seek answers. Achieve enlightenment.

...right now, all he'd achieved was a migraine.

[member="Mythos"]

[member="Shoma Ike"], or as Mythos refereed to him: The Regent Lord of Atrisia, His Regent Lord. Meeting him for the first time was one of the most if not the most difficult infiltration mission he had ever done and he did so while raw from his return. In this meeting he met a shy, young and inexperienced young man who was put in shoes He clearly was over his age to deal with. Mythos did not think that a problem, he had courage, met his yellow eyes with fear but stood his ground and spoke to him with courtesy and honor. Shoma was royalty born if there ever existed such a thing. The time was not right to return, Atrisia needed to be built by it's own first and his return would bring only more suffering and pain to the planet. Mythos did not wish for an Atrisian Civil war yet he was the key to the impasse in the Atrisian Commonwealth senate and the debate between the noble houses too. Mythos knew this, but he was not so sure how to stop a civil war if he returned. He found Jar'Kai a city of stone and turned into a city of gold, but his death then turned it into a city of darkness and death. There lay the bones of his family in Jar'Kai, his friends, closest warriors and people he was sworn to protect from the Galactic Alliance and anyone else in the galaxy...

He had Failed Atrisia once, Akio failed Atrisia too, Mythos hoped Shoma could succeed where centuries of rulers had failed. After this battle there would be no Regent Lord or Prince if Mythos could help it,instead Atrisia would have what it has deserved for a thousand years: A Shogun, One like Uueg. Youth would be on his side and so would Mythos. First thing was first... The firemane base was on his mind and Jar'Kai was now a fortress but before that, Mythos needed to speak with the Prince. Preparations had been made.

Ankhypt- The Black Pyramid

In the black Pyramid of Ankhypt, deep below it's crypts Mythos sat in meditation with a small token of Prince Ike. It was nothing he took without permission, a control remote for a game he was playing when they met, it looked like he had many of them, either way he planned to return it. Focusing on the force and on the token from the prince he was able to, after days in meditation reach out to let his arrival be known. He would attempt to send an image to the mind of the prince, an image of himself in his traditional golden armor, beside the city of Jar'Kai exactly how it used to be. Jar'Kai was a city of gold in his era, rivers ran from the Palace to the city and every soldier's uniform was prime pressed and shining. The gates of his throne room shined brightly and in the ancient throne of Emperor Akio before him Mythos beckoned Shoma to come, hand extended, shining light from the stained glass windows piercing through the veil of early morning dew. The smell of fresh tea leaves of the royal garden, the sounds of children playing and lovers speaking by the great fountains. The clash of lightsabers as the mighty Royal Guard trained in the lower floors, lightning and plasma clashing in the far distance. Then he would hear his voice, a voice every Atrisian veteran followed to victory at least once.

"I am coming. Tell our people. We take back Jar'Kai together. It is time."

The young prince was roused from his brooding by a disturbance in the Force.

For a moment, he wasn't certain what it was. Then he felt a presence, as though someone were standing behind him. When he had turned around, the youth found himself standing in a place like the Imperial Palace of old. Before the dark times.

Before the Galactic Alliance.

"I am coming. Tell our people. We take back Jar'Kai together. It is time."
He'd be lying if he said that he wasn't impressed with... whatever this was.

Appreciating the recreation of the former Atrisian capital a moment, the teen returned his gaze to the unforgettable icon of the One Sith's control of Atrisia. There were people who would welcome [member="Mythos"] return. There were people who would villify it. And a host of outside political factions that would cause problems for them in any case.

Still, it was hard for the boy to say that he didn't at least think about the offer. If for no other reason than he had no idea just how himself and a handful of Yovshin Swordsmen were supposed to hold back the advance of the Knights of Ren.

Which went directly to the foremost issue on his mind. "The First Order moves closer with each passing day," Shoma noted aloud. "What good will it do us to take back Jar'Kai, only to hand it over to the Supreme Leader?"

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist

Atrisia was a beautiful place to be, she didn't come often enough but here in the palace she was listenign to the people. Most were well acting as she expected them to act. Sounding supportive of what would keep them safe since most of their numbers here, most of the forces were devastated by the One sith, taken and pressed into service. THen more taken to go with the ancient eye and die off world in a battle against the Silver Jedi order after they massacred a planet... strangely that world was also mysteriously made to praise one person against well tens of thousands of years of history saying they woud oppose a sith lord. Strange it was like a person could do no wrong and reason failed in their presence.

Her cane tapped as she moved through the place and could feel something. An illusion that brought her attention up. She had studied the white current and mental resistance, that SHoma seemed to have been brooding afterwards as she went and was talking to the air ponly served to make the jedi master look at him. "Little Shoma." She said it and the relationship with her cousin... well complicated but she was always around to help atrisia when she listened to him and moved forward. Able to hear and see things but her smooth skin, small statue and black hair hid her age well compared to many while she was moving.

"DOn't lose heart, this is your hojme. THis is Atrisia. We have lasted as a united planet for nearly twenty seven thousand years, before that tens of thousands of years as clans and houses. You come from a noble line and one of the eldest houses. YOu are heir to a great legacy with a future to you." She said it and walked to stand with him. "The First Order is dangerous, they can do a lot of harm to our people but what kept us all alive with the one sith was our spirit. Even brainwashed and made to praise a foreign ruler who came from the sith, something that had never been heard of. The people eventually realized what they were doing."

She spoke of it casually and with a look at him while focusing a bubble around them. Force of will was a technique she knew only a handful could do or understood but the ability to resist and get through it. SHe counted very few aside from maybe Velok and his spawn, Ashin and SPencer or Sorel and Corvus in that grouping. "Jar'kai is dangerous, reclaiming it is an idea but with everything that has happened you would need a team of strong jedi master to purify the darkside of a nexus like that. Then decades to possibly rebuild the ruined city. Even I do not have the skills or resources, our family lacks them to rebuild and reclaim it before the first order comes here."

Mythos had to smile, he was so strong... he had grown so much. In him he saw Uueg, clear as day but with two eyes instead of one. A mad hope that out of the ashes of Atrisia could rise Uueg's heir, the one who would save his people. His smile was one of pride and surprise, this was not the boy who had given him a remote control of a video game so many years ago. Mythos did not kneel to look into his eyes, nor did he spare a glance to the figure beside Shoma who was not here when Mythos personally took a shovel and hammer to build hospitals for the poor. It took a foreign ruler for an Atrisian Emperor to join the people and get his hands dirty for a thousand years. Two Atrisian Emperors in the last thousand years lead men into victory: Uueg and Mythos.

Mythos sought to add a third in last list... but it would take courage.

"Atrisia stood against the evil of Galactic Alliance alone. I gave my life so Atrisia would be free, So pride in every veteran would never wash away no matter who flies their flag over our homes. It is the cries of justice of every Atrisian who died beside me and My son that brought me back to you. The First Order is coming Shoma but you are not Alone, I am not Emperor anymore. You will be better than I ever was. You will not fail Atrisia as I and Akio did. The first order must not take Jar'Kai.. the power that lies in this palace must not fall into their hands otherwise all is truly lost."

Mythos clapped his hands together creating a sonic boom then extended his hands wide as the flag of the One Sith, The Mythos flag depicting the Axe of Adas, the symbol that Atrisian's gathered around for more than a decade, a symbol still revered in many provinces today began to fly. "Jedi. Sith. Witch. Mandalorian. Mercenary and bountyhunter fought together, side by side to defend Atrisia against both the Galactic Alliance and the Sith Empire. Because what was right on that day was more important than politics. I bring to you the White Legion. My sons of Atrisia who fled to the aid of [member="Cedric Grayson"] and [member="Veiere Arenais"] through the Dominion. Atrisia now spans the galaxy. You are not just Emperor of a system anymore. "

Before Mythos the ghosts and faces of every Atrisian soldier under his command stood in attention, a massive formation over the illusion of the palace. Mythos had remembered so many of them, so many that he had counted tens of thousands... he knew their names and families, he knew their home towns and favorite podracers, he knew the name of the girls and boys they were sweet on... He was a Soldier's king.... and he failed them.

Never Again.

"And you are not Alone Like I was"

--------------------------Atrisian Space------------------------------

As Mythos sat in meditation, without warning in the orbit of Atrisia came 550th. The Emperor's fist. Manning the fleet were the aged and grizzled veterans of a dozen battles that had survived through hiding or through serving other warlords. They were not as many as they used to be, they were not as young or fast or could see as good as they used to, but what they lacked in youth they made up for in brutal, unquestionable loyalty to Atrisia and her Throne. Mythos had already given the order, the Throne was Shoma.

In command of the fleet was the only man alive to face Ashin Varin, see her face and live to tell the Tale: General Lee Shinto. The only surviving member of the Jar'Kai. His body was destroyed, he lived in constant life support systems but he was still alive and still just as keen in senses. Many forget it was the Jar'Kai that gave a glorious last stand charge of three hundred warriors against all odds that was turned into song. 'Into the valley of darkness... Rode the Three Hundred.' A legend and source of pride if there ever existed one. Atrisia's favorite sons, scarified everything for their home and here he was... doing it all over again.

"This is Shinto with the 550th. Uploading clearance. The King is on his way, Usual dock in the side provinces. Orders from the king and the palace. Prepare all forces for imminent invasion from the First Order." Lee said to Atrisian command, his voice clear and cut just like it was so many years ago. Lee was once head of security in the palace and at many times the ultimate authority second to Mythos alone.

Lee patched his communication to the man he knew was in charge of ground forces around the capital. As easy as plugging an extension number he was able to reach the personal Holographic communicator of Atrisian special forces command. "Unless Jinkei-Wa wants to explain to Shoma or Mythos how we lost the capital in a day. I'm still not above killing you Jinkei, assemble the army. Code: Banzai."

Banzai... Once that word was uttered, the old vets knew what to do. Jinkei might have been lazy, even cowardly at times, it's what kept him alive... but Jinkei still had honor. There was silence in the communication for a very long time, at least it seemed like it. "Things have changed Shinto" He said, Lee was not worried, his tone of voice told him what he was going to say next.

"I will inform the crown at once. You are clear."

That is all he needed. The fleet pressed forward. The call came from Lee, Mythos requested aid from the more obscure sources too.
