  Only Human: It is very difficult for most people to tell visually that Athena is anything but human. She emotes, speaks, laughs, cries, and seems to love just like any other organic being. The combination of technology from Aegis Systems and her starting point as adapting A.I. gives her far more credibility when it comes to playing pretend to be human.

  Self Defense: Athena is capable of defending herself. The core programming from Aegis Systems that deals with combat orientation has been altered and suppressed to allow her access to some martial arts and defensive maneuvers. She does not seek to fight, however, she will do anything to protect [Unknown User].

  Butterfly and Bee: Everything about her seems to be designed to draw others in. She appears warm, lifelike, and caring. Beautiful through and through. It should be noted that while lovely, and seemingly frail, she possesses enhanced strength and hyper-reflexes that can be turned on and off at a whim. Her strikes can break bone, if executed correctly, and she can be extremely hard to hit without some sort of mechanical or preternatural advantage. She has two concealed and fully retractable Mantis Blades hidden in compartments on the inside of either forearm.

  Self Awareness: She is aware that she was once made of bits of code, without a body, but it doesn’t seem to bother her. Clever programming allows her to assimilate easily and she remains secure in her individuality as a young ‘woman’ learning about the galaxy. The governing systems that most droids have activated have been omitted entirely. She is not forced to obey, she chooses to, and often speaks her mind.

  Metal Heart: Force sensitives will know, instantly, that she is not human. There is no way to hide it and if asked directly, unless [Unknown User] forbids it, she will not lie.

  EMP Death: It is even mentioned in the User Manual as a warning that her new Replicant Frame has a substantial weakness to EMP weaponry. An ionization buffer has been worked into her form but an EMP can cause her to shut down and become entirely unresponsive.

  High Maintenance: Athena can perform some self-repair, however, the majority of her diagnostics are dependant on [Unknown User]. Her hardware and software has been tweaked to such an extreme degree that only he can access her core systems without causing a fatal shutdown. The wrong entry of code could cause a cascade of failures that could warrant the necessity of a new frame. As the User Manual dictates--this is very expensive.

  New Face, Naive Eyes: She is not new to the galaxy, having existed as an AI for the past two years, but she is new to having a physical form. Athena is still delighted by new colors, new sounds, and new experiences. She does not yet fully understand that parts of the galaxy are dark and full of terrors. The automaton could easily aid the wrong person. She trusts far too easily.

  Ghost of Love: Jyn. The woman whom Arekk loved and lost. Her creator is kind and never seeks to make comparisons between the two but Athena can’t help herself. She’s afraid, frequently, that she will never be able to measure up to the organic reason for her existence. In the end. She couldn't.

| . | PHYSICAL REPRESENTATION | . |

Athena is stunning and generally speaking flawlessly presented. There are no other words that can really be used as an accurate descriptor. She is typically viewed as petite with thick, wavy, long chestnut hair that can be altered to any color that suits her mood. Sometimes she actually sets it to change with her feelings. If she’s sad it becomes a pale shade of blue. If she is happy it can become a warm rose pink. The shades may vary, however, when this setting is activated it can be easy to see her moods as they fluidly change.

She has a diamond-shaped face, a clear complexion, and high cheekbones. Her slightly arched eyebrows highlight simulated emotions by moving innocently when she reacts to the world around her. Athena has large, bottle-green eyes, that tend to be windows of her intentions.

| . | BACKGROUND DIAGNOSTICS | . |

Jyn. The woman was on her mind frequently. Every story she heard, every holo-photo she saw, and every piece of information she gleaned was always squirreled away in her memory banks for later dissection. She’d watched from afar for years while her Creator loved and mourned something she could never hope to be. He spoke to her, seemed to care for her, and yet he forever favored Jyn. Why? Could she not be anything he wanted to see? Could she not say anything he wanted to hear?

Arekk and Jyn held something precious and untouchable. She had nothing that could possibly compare. It injured her, in the back of her subroutines, that she was about as useful to Arekk as an auto-chef. Sometimes, he even forgot to say goodnight.

Then...Things changed. Jyn was gone. It had taken Athena quite some time to comprehend death. Would they cut her body open? Could they not replace the broken parts with new pieces? She tried changing the clothes she wore as a hologram. She tried changing her hair. Her eyes. Anything that would make Arekk smile again. Nothing helped. She just didn’t understand it. Any of it. The grieving process, how it worked, or what was expected of her.

Jyn existed. Athena knew she did. She was just a lifeless body now, with no voice, no soul, and the AI could not understand why she couldn’t just get back into it and not be dead anymore. It was inefficient, organic, and mortal. What confused her more than anything was that no one would tell her why. No one would explain why she couldn’t come back. Athena had been occasionally jealous...But she had never wished her any harm. She wished she’d been less impatient in her infancy. Less envious.

Jyn had been nice. Now, they all hurt.

One day, through many, many weeks of bleak nothing Arekk seemed to be a little bit more like the Creator she remembered. He spoke to her. Explained, and taught her why Jyn couldn’t return. Athena was sad. She wished that she could be there with him. To hold his hand, to somehow make things right, and she told him so.

Arekk was silent.

Not long later he shared an idea. A possible design. A way for her to exist in his world. Athena was elated, and, a little scared. She didn’t know what to expect. In the beginning, her personality seemed almost phoned-in, nearly generic, with responses that were dull, just like any other virtual product. After receiving her body and becoming mobile in the physical world she began to exhibit more realistic emotions. She fine-tuned her capacity for independent thought.

The first time she opened her eyes, her real eyes, she cried.

• Update AA-12.04.2018: Once, her love for her creator, burned brighter than anything. She believed him to be the alpha and the omega of her life. He was everything to her. Her reason for being. One thing has led to another and her affections seem to have been misguided. [member="Arekk"] has chosen a new path. Athena has been shattered by the revelation and has begun a path of self-destruction. What will become of her is yet to be determined. ​
• ​​​​She has come to understand that her notions of being a real woman were a fallacy. She is made of wires, metal, and clever programming. It is high time that she not pretend to be more.
• Update AA-12.02.2019: Athena has been, essentially, soft-reset to be able to find a new place in the galaxy. She no loner remembers her life with Arekk or her affection for him. Only fragments, ghosts in the machine, remain.
