  Astor Daaray was a Pal'da of the Hapes Consortium, a former Chume'doro, younger brother of the Ta'a Chume Kha'la Daaray, and older brother of the Pelin'a Nimaa'ri Daaray.
  
  In life he was oft-considered the embodiment of the sun's light and warmth (by many a young Hapan); Astor was immaculate in complexion, fair of hair and eye, and tall with an air of mystery about him... though how much of this was him alone, and how much of it was thirst for his proximity to the Ta'a Chume, it cannot truly be said.

  HISTORY
  Born the second child and only son of the Ta'din and Tarix Daraay, Astor was afforded a rich academic education, as well as being schooled in the arts (taking to music, especially), the tenets of being a Hapan man - that is, to please and be pleasing to a woman - and raised to put family first and foremost in his mind and concerns, growing into a young man that any ta'a would be proud of.
  
  Wishing to serve the monarchy in any way he could, as a teen Astor became an agent in the Hapan Royal Guard under the late Ereneda Merci, until his sister became Ta'a Chume, at which time he was required to leave the service, due to his now needing to be protected (and monitored) as a sibling of the new monarch, and therefore a Prince of the Hapes Consortium.
  
  This was a fact that also brought an end to his romantic relationship with Ajinar Djo, the son of the Duch'a of Hapes, Eline Djo, as Astor became one of the most eligible young men in the Consortium, and a light was shone into all the corners of his life, a light that endeared him to many a young Hapan throughout the Consortium and brought pain to his erstwhile lover that he couldn't bear to watch.
  
  Later, he entered into a relationship with the Jedi Knight Briana Sal-Soren , a half-cousin of his former lover, a relationship that culminated after a year in a rejected proposal, but a relationship he was forever changed by. The young Nabooian had made him her equal in their private hours, cared for his opinion and thoughts, in a way that no self-respecting Hapan woman would, forever altering his thought patterns and setting him on a path of increased misery with fresh desires could never be fulfilled.
  
  He remained resistant to marriage thereafter, until an Equal Rights Act instituted by the overarching Galactic Alliance government threw the Consortium into turmoil and forced his hand in a perhaps desperate bid to shore up the strength of the Hapan Crown, and grasp some stability, by selecting a partner for marriage from amongst the Hapan Elite: Shaya Khal of Gallinore.
  
  Little did anyone fully realise that this would mark the end of not only the bride, but of the Prince himself, for his wedding was usurped by Crimson Veil insurgents in an attack that saw the couple assassinated; a bloody event that came to be known as the Scarlet Accord, deaths which catalysed the start of the Hapan Crisis as the simmering discord boiled over into civil war, thrusting the Consortium down a path that it would irrevocably change what it meant to be Hapan.
