He installed a locking activator that allowed the blade to remain lit even when his hand released it, a dangerous choice that turned disarms into calculated risks. The addition of a Christophsis crystal changed the way the saber struck. Each blow carried greater weight and force, which meant that every swing required commitment. Missed attacks left openings that demanded discipline to recover from.

The final change came with the Lignan crystal. The blade burned hotter after that, and the hum deepened into something almost alive. Extended combat placed strain on the weapon’s systems, forcing him to pace himself rather than rely on relentless aggression. The heat bled through the hilt during long engagements, a reminder that power always came with a cost.

Despite every modification, the Adegan crystal remained at the heart of the saber. It steadied the weapon when his mind sharpened, and it faltered slightly when his focus slipped. The blade responded to clarity rather than fury, which made it an honest mirror of the man he was becoming.

Sometimes he wondered what the Jedi who had carried it before him would think if he saw it now. The cloth wrapping bore new scars layered over older ones, and the emitter had been rebuilt more than once. The weapon no longer resembled a relic of peace, yet it had not lost its original discipline.

Aerik clipped the ring at the pommel to his belt and let the saber hang at his side as he walked. The tassel brushed against his leg with each step, a quiet reminder of the moment his path changed.
