Special Features:

  • Fleet base and training station. Featuring advanced design and training areas, this is where the Eldorai and Firemane crews are trained.
  • Cargo docks and warehouses. Able to handle hundreds of tonnes of cargo daily, the storage areas are gargantuan in size.
  • Customs and immigration areas. All incoming spaceships and passengers are identified and passed through customs. Those wishing to stay on the station are free to do so, whilst those who wish to go down to the surface must provide travel plans and pay a visa fee.
  • Prison. A relatively small prison handles both outsiders and natives. Some of the natives from the surface are imprisoned here in the certain knowledge that their comrades cannot reach them.
  • Church of Ashira. Worship of the Great Goddess is an important part of life for many Eldorai still, and so this large chapel is dedicated to them. Services are held twice daily. There is a section for the few non-Eldorai converts to receive blessings.
  • Mall of Ashira. More of a trading and shopping emporium than a mere mall. Built on seven vast levels, with the lower areas dedicated to commodities whilst the upper, being given over to commercial goods and services. The mall is a hub of commercial activity.
  • Eskandor. Eldorai soldiers and officers train here at the new Academy. There is also an extensive armoury and manufacturing centre, as it is easier to make items in orbit than transfer them from the ground.
  • The Hub. The Hub is appropriately the nerve centre of the station. From here incoming ships are routed, security is controlled and administrative offices are positioned. There are over 10,000 security and official personnel on the station to maintain order.
  • Firemane Industries. Firemane’s main offices and administration are handled from the Ashira’s Light. This area includes extensive testing, design and manufacturing locations.
  • Order of Fire. The Force-using wing of Firemane is based here, along with training and teaching facilities. Accommodation along with an extensive armory are here as well.
  • Sovereign Estates. This area of residential accommodation features housing for the station’s workers, basic and luxury hotels and palatial suites for the wealthiest. Queen Tirathana, Siobhan Kerrigan, Tegaea Alcori and other nobles have suites there. These suites come with such luxuries as private landing pads, private elevators and lovely 360 degree views of space.

Maneuverability Rating: 20
Speed Rating: 20
Hyperdrive Class: N/A

Strengths:
[+] Spacedock: The Ashira’s Light can serve as the fleet dock and base for all the Tygara and Eldorai fleets.

[+] Heavy Flak: The station fields a decent amount of point defence and quad lasers. It can protect itself reasonably well against fighters and interceptors in small amounts.

[+] Commercial Hub: The Ashira’s Light is a new and better home for the Eldorai and their allies. It features all the necessities from the surface in space. For outsiders it allows a stopover to sell and buy goods.

Weaknesses:
[-] Civilian: The Ashira’s Light has almost no capital guns, and very limited defenses. There is little it can do against anything larger than a corvette.

[-] Big Target: 10,000m is huge. Given that it stays in geosynchronous orbit it’s an easy target to hit.

[-] Style Over Substance: Built to be aesthetically pleasing, the Ashira’s Light isn’t made like a blockhouse. The elegant design is vulnerable once its shields are down.

Description: Ashira’s Light was developed and produced in cooperation with Firemane Industries and Technologies and the Eldorai of Tygara. Developed to be the new commercial hub, Ashira’s light has been built with several points of interest in mind. Including, the Church of Ashira - a grand space cathedral devoted to the Goddess, the Mall of Ashira - a commercial shopping center for many of the station’s visitors. The Hub, where the majority of private business is held. Below the Church of Ashira reside the Angelii who are the elite armed forces of the Eldorai. Eskandor is another area devoted to Eldorai armed forces and serves a security checkpoint before anyone is allowed entrance into Firemane Industries’ Ashira’s Light operations center this also includes a new area devoted to Firemane’s Order of Fire. The Order of Fire is Firemane’s own homegrown order of force users led by [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]. The station also houses the nobility of Tygara, those who are interested may purchase a home here in what are referred to as the Sovereign Estates. Ashira’s Light serves as the model of Firemane and Eldorai cooperation, and that by working together they can achieve great things.

Dev Thread: Silver Award - Omega (x)

Intent: To create a purely civilian commercial hub to replace the Tirathana Skyport. This station will serve as a key trading, residential and fleet dock for the faction and company. As a civilian station, the Ashira’s Light has almost no offensive weaponry and relatively little defensive weapons considering its large size. This station will also serve as an RP location for the faction and company.
