The Ashikaga sword is a curved, slender, single-edged blade designed for combat usage. It serves as a standard melee weapon for the Ashikaga Group only (although some Elysium Imperials can use this weapon). The production of this melee weapon is only limited due to its rare quality, especially that it's combined with durasteel, titanium and cortosis. The Ashikaga Group sought to make it durable enough to prevent chipping and breakage while yet preserving the Atrisian traditional style's slenderness and lightweight construction. The sword's design is rather simple, yet it more than suffices for the purpose. The primary intent of the sword was mainly to bring pride of the Ashikaga Group, since it is another a brand model of a melee weapon for a curved sword.
Overall, it's a basic sword with a one-of-a-kind design. Lightweight and long-lasting. It serves its purpose.
