STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
  • + Traditionalist: Following the loss of her memory, Asha Seren has been an upstanding Jedi and follower of the Traditionalist Old-Republic style approach to the Jedi Way. Due to the clash of ideals with the Jedi Order within the Republic this has made her tread a path of independence in order to cater to the needs of the Galaxy without a conflict of interest. As such the only vows she has forsaken are those which pertain to the Galactic Republic.
  • + Sentinel: Asha was trained in the Path of a Jedi Sentinel, seeking a balance between the Guardian and Consular paths. As such she has devoted time to learning the theoretical and philosophical aspects of the Jedi Order as well as the practical applications of the Guardians. However, in keeping with the Sentinel skillset, she has also dedicated time to medical pursuits and her stealth capabilities, making her a versatile individual.
  • + Nature Over Nurture: While her training has paid off in terms of ensuring Asha is able to do her duty as first a Jedi, and now a Paladin, she also gains a small upperhand through her heritage as an Epicanthix. Her mind is strengthened against any form of mental attack through the Force or otherwise and her body is strengthened like most of her kin'. She also has an increased life-span which could prove useful in her dedication to the Galaxy.
  • - Flashburned: There is an aspect of Asha's life which she has no recollection of, and this could prove a difficulty in the future. While she is a traditionalist Jedi this was not always completely the case, having once married and given birth to a child while within the Order. While the Flashburn has enabled her to completely resume her duties it also means that she has forgotten her husband and daughter.
  • - Fortified Mind: While her Epicanthix mind enables her to be protected against negative effects against her mind, it also means she cannot be booned through the likes of a Battle Meditation by her peers. This could prove crucially restricting should she be faced with a battlefield and in some cases could be the difference between success and defeat. There is no way to counteract this, either.
  • - Minimalistic Lifestyle: As a Jedi Asha focused all her attention and resources on those who need assistance in the Galaxy. Therefore she believes that taking a minimalistic approach to her own lifestyle will reflect this dedication; she possesses very little, meaning she has no real fall back options like other Jedi might. Asha owns no firearms; she has only her robes, armour and lightsabers.

PRE-ROLEPLAY HISTORY

Asha was born upon Panatha to two Epicanthix parents. At the age of two her Father moved away and remained absent. She was moved alongside her Mother to a startlingly different planet known as Cadinth. After her Mother remarried Asha soon found herself with a little sister called Phoenix whom she adored, and she would do anything if it meant her younger sibling was happy. Due to the deserts of Cadinth Asha was never taught to swim, yet from the age of seven she would venture out of Saskapeg to explore other avenues, often scavenging from crash sites on the outskirts of the city. She spent a lot of free time tinkering and fixing what she found.

However, shortly after her ninth birthday Asha was found out in the desert by a Jedi known only as Carn Dista. Finding her to be Force Sensitive he walked her back to her home and discussions were held between the Jedi and her mother over the next few days. Finally Asha was taken by Carn Dista, with her mother's permission, to be trained as a Jedi at his side. Over the next nine years Carn Dista mentored Asha in the ways of the Force, although his studies were more knowledge and combat orientated, her only real instructions in the Force being very sensory based. The only exception to this was Telekinesis, something she was found to immediately excel at.

When she reached the age of seventeen Asha was taken from solitary training to the main hub of Jedi activity, with Carn Dista disappearing off the radar. While she excelled with her studies and combat abilities the Jedi found a flaw in her training of the Force, which had been heavily neglected, deeming Telekinesis to not be enough for a Jedi who had been in training as long as she had to know. With Carn Dista still unheard from after a year Ashas training was handed over to Jedi Knight Nikolai Siviyr, the only aspects of her training which were truly lacking were Force based. While her affinity was strong he trust in it was less so.

With time Asha was able to grow to understand and trust the Force; and through this she focused most of her Force training around physical-enhancements such as Force Body, already set to one day, become a Guardian. Her former training with the Mandalorians, alongside Carn Dista, gave her an unorthodox approach including infrequent use of a blaster, yet while her training was almost purely combat based she did not cease in her studies, delving deeper and deeper into the Philosophies of the Old Republic and advancing further within her medical applications. Eventually, she was deemed ready. She had spent 9 years in training, travelled from one end of the Galaxy to the other in order to do so. Asha was raised to the rank of Jedi Knight upon passing her trials.

Her training did not stop there, as no Jedi's should ever stop, and she delved further into the Force as her trust increased; this time using it to increase her medical abilities, after all there were some things in the known Galaxy which required more than a Doctor could prescribe. Force Heal, Detoxify, Prognosis, each became her ally in a Galaxy which seemed to be in constant conflict. This dedication to medicine, however, showed another side to Asha, the side which sought to be balanced within oneself and ones skillset, rather than focused fully on one aspect - shown first through her decision to learn Niman, and now through the willingness to take on a more Consular-approach. Her old dreams of becoming a Guardian were dashed with the realisation that her heath was too finicky for the physical output it would require, but by this point Asha's view had changed entirely.

She realised that Carn Dista had been training her for another Path, that of the Sentinel - her upbringing had been riddled with investigation, subterfuge, stealth. She would become a balanced Jedi, and spend her time outside of the Temple. Within her first year of being a Knight, Asha took on a Padawan by the name of Gareth Yalthik. He was an able student, very well learned and willing to adapt to the constantly changing lifestyle Asha provided him with. However Asha soon faced a difficulty many her age, in her position, would not have come out of. Her Padawan was taken from her just a year into their training, killed before her very eyes and nothing that Asha could do, medical or Force wise, was enough to save him. Shaken, Asha could not bring herself to take on another Padawan for some time, until the Council themselves decided it was time for her to do so.

During this time Asha fell into the arms of a man known as Eli Lorr; at first their relationship was extremely professional yet over time a love blossomed and soon they were married and their love consummated. There was even a child born of their union, a young girl known as Rhiari Lorr. They were content for a while but it was not to be a happy ending, as Eli turned to the lure of the Darkside. Distraught the Jedi Knight lapsed into a rock-bottom state and unintentionally performed a Flashburn upon herself. She recalled nothing of her life with Eli or her daughter, and slowly she began to mend.

In the end it was not the Council who deemed her ready to train again, but instead the Force itself: on a mission to Pelagon she came across the smoking ruins of an orphanage, and miraculously managed to save a young boy known as Thurion Heavenshield who she eventually took to be her student. Over the years she watched him grow and develop as an individual, and was proud as his Trial of Knighthood date was set... That was until the Jedi did something they ought not have done. They appointed one of their own Supreme Chancellor over the Republic. Added to this numerous war crimes and Asha alongside many others lost faith in their Council. They schism'd from the main Order and set a course for the independent planet of Teth where they formed the Silent Conclave. The ideals were simplistic yet the duties they provided were those a Jedi truly ought to do.

During a peacekeeping mission to Nar Shaddaa Asha was defeated and abducted by [member='Jacen Cavill'] who intended to turn her to the Darkside. While those around her at the Conclave believed that she had perished this was, of course, not the case, and she was lucky enough to be able to not only survive the ordeal but escape the clutches of the Sith without acquiring a taint of Bogan. Yet upon returning to the Conclave after many months away she found that it had become a Power in its own right, selectively defending planets as opposed to following its initial ideals. Hearing that her Student had become a Knight she decided there was little reason to return and instead began to venture across the Galaxy, rendering aid to those who required it indiscriminately while searching for a new home.

Well I guess Protectorate will soon enough be the TK Powerhouse :p I'm sure our enemies would love for more cases of asteroids being thrown around, bridges of Star Destroyers being crushed, and holes being punched in ships so we can board them.

Siobhan left Protectorate services a long time ago and is not a member anymore. But crushing bridge towers is fun! :p

Anyway, looks like a great char. Will be interested to see where her story goes. :)
