Rationale:
The invasion of Nar Shaddaa left millions of jobless immigrants, most of them Syndicate members, in Black Sun space. Due to the large number of displaced government officials, Ash convinced the best lawyers to join together and acquire reparations for the economic devastation. Although the Senate agreed to avoid a press backlash by settling out of court, the legal fees from the reparation settlement combined with Ash's own resources were sufficient to start up a formal practice on Nimban.
Tier: Tier 2, as it provides legal services to a large number of Black Sun Syndicate members and a few affiliates.

Formed by Ash from the fragments of a few dozen Black Sun Lawyers turned government officials turned hobos after the Invasion of Nar Shaddaa, Ash, Pembrooke, Welqzana and Associates was founded on two basic principles: Keep the firm in the black, and keep the people in Hutt Space happy. Because of these seemingly contrary philosophies, the firm has been known to represent poor clients on a pro bono basis fairly often in order to keep both Ash's and the Black Sun's reputation of being for the people.
Aside from that, Ash and a few of the shadier lawyers will give consultations on emerging Black Suns, assisting them in running rackets and laundering money--all with standard legal confidentiality. A large portion of their fees come from these consultations, where they teach aspiring criminals how to not get caught for a modest sum.
