† OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION †
  • Intent: Unique coinage system for Banshee Tech that has a functional utility for Sith
  • Image Source: Alien Bear with minor altercations by Viktor Viktor
  • Canon Link: Lignan
  • Permissions: None
  • Primary Source: None

† PRODUCTION INFORMATION †

† TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS †
  • Classification: Currency / Lesser Sith Artifact
  • Method of Consumption: Evocation with the Force
  • Average Life: Single Force Ability
  • Effects:
    • Enhanced Dark Side Abilities
    • Lightheadedness and Mental Fatigue
    • Gradual to Immediate Disintegration of the Ash Coin

† SPECIAL FEATURES †
  • Lignan Core: A small piece of Lignan Ore has been cut and polished to be embedded at the center of the Ash Coin. An extremely rare ore that was equally powerful in the Dark Side of the Force, the ore can be channeled by a Dark Side Force User and drawn upon as a font of minor power, greatly augmenting the user's Force abilities. Due to its small size and purposeful design, the Ash Coin empowers a single Force ability at a time, intensifying and maximizing the potential of the Lignan Ore to ignite brilliantly in a single opus.

† STRENGTHS †
  • Lesser Sith Artifact - Avaritia of the Zuguruk: The Lignan Ore within Ash Coins have been enhanced with carefully Sith alchemized gold, enhancing the natural properties of the material into a singular focus. Greatly empowering the Sith user's ability to wield the Force for a single ability, the Ash Coin will crumble into the ashes from once it was forged. The Ash Coins themselves have been tuned to have a resonance effect when in physical proximity to one another, multiplying and refining the quality of Dark Side power provided. As the quantity of Ash Coins increase, there is an increasingly large amount of allure and madness instilled by any in its proximity, eliciting the feelings of intense greed.

† WEAKNESSES †
  • No Jedi Scum Allowed: Due to its manifestation as a complete Sith artifact, the Ash Coin is unusable by any Light Side or Grey Force users. Subsequently, the Sith Artifact is easily destroyed by Light Side Abilities, immediately crumbling into ash in the presence of Force Light.
  • Vault of the Ysalamir: Force nullification fields, whether natural or artificial, disrupt the ability for a user to tap into the Ash Coin. The objects remain completely inert, with the Lignan ore only emitting a faint dark grey glow, and can be safely handled with no effects.

† DESCRIPTION †
The Ash Coin was forged in the Ashes of Korr, when Viktor Corvus found an intriguing metal that shone with intense grey light in one of the ancient Sith tombs of Korriban. Viktor experimented with a wide range of materials and substances, finalizing on the utilization of corpse soil from a Zuguruk mass grave site as the final component material. The soil had a strange resonant effect with the Lignan Ore, intensifying the Dark Side forces within the ore at the cost of imbuing a strange madness. Intense greed and avarice consumed Viktor, which was only subdued by shattering the artifact and separating the infected pieces of Lignan.

Interestingly, the resulting process transformed the corpse soil into golden slag, with each of the fragments becoming a misshapen and ugly golden coin. He theorized that the coin itself was once the currency of the Zuguruk Caste, unknowingly stumbling upon its creation method. Inspired by this discovery, Viktor decided it apt to process the infected pieces into proper currency, polishing and refining their appearance from rough coins into works of art. Inscribed and etched with runes of ancient Sith magic, these served as the initial prototypes for the Ash Coin and Viktor kept them as interesting baubles on display. It was only when he first encountered the Sith Order in which he decided to begin large scale manufacturing of the Lesser Sith Artifact, as other Sith found high value in the Ash Coin's empowering properties, interesting quirks, and aesthetic appearance.

Now, the Ash Coin is the staple currency of Banshee Tech, formulating the basis of its trade and commerce.
