STRENGTHS
  • Strong Deflector Shields: Due to its nature the Ascendancy Extermination Ship possesses powerful deflector shields to weather a good deal of direct damage, but enough sustained fire will eventually wear it down to nothing.
  • Ionization Chambers & Molecular Furnaces: While the original Dungeon Ship was designed to haul prisoners from the battlefield to Ascendancy black sites and prison complexes, the Extermination Ship was designed for one single purpose: its namesake, extermination. However; those slaughtered are not wasted. Their bodies are broken down into their constituent parts in the ionization chambers and in turn funneled into molecular furnaces that are used to make goods and other materials.
WEAKNESSES
  • Not Designed For Naval Combat: The Extermination Ship is just for the internment and extermination of Ascendancy prisoners. It's not fast and lightly armed and can be an easy target if not properly escorted by stronger more capable vessels.
  • No Escape Pods: To prevent prisoner escape during transit, the Extermination Ship was designed without escape pods.
DESCRIPTION

The Butcher King is known galaxy-wide for his exorbitant cruelty, his malice when confronted with opposition to his tyrannical ways. In years past many have suffered for their dissent, the Togorians, the Amarans, and countless others suffered beneath his thumb during the zenith of many Sith Empires. As the Sith Ascendancy rises amidst the ruins of the Old Empire, he looks towards the unconquered lands around Bastion and envisions those that would defy the might of the Sith being crushed beneath the heel of progress. However; outright annihilation is a luxury that he cannot completely afford as the Ascendancy not only expands its military might, but also its diplomatic might as a bulwark of order and security against a sea of chaos and anarchy.

So he concocted a ship that would serve as the annihilator of unruly elements of planetary populations. Before it came the Ascendancy Dungeon Ship and the Modular Taskforce Cruiser, each one equipped to deal with insurrection, but up till now no one ship had been designed for the sole purpose of systematic murder. The Extermination Ship was designed after the ancient World Devastators which used massive molecular furnaces to strip away a planet's crust and converted it into building materials to construct starfighters, armor, weapons, and other tools of war.

The Extermination Ship performs a similar function but on a smaller scale. The ship featured large ionization chambers that could house many hundreds of inmates at any given time, and once activated would annihilate their bodies and convert them into their constituent parts. From there those parts would be transferred into smaller molecular furnaces that would in turn convert them into materials useful in the construction of various goods, mainly weapon parts and other things. Naturally this was never considered to ever compete to replace large-scale factory production, but it ensured that even in death those that defied the Ascendancy would contribute to its success and expansion.

Just a quick question; you list the shields as a strength and say it has reinforced hull, but rate the defences as low.

Is that intentional? Balance wise you can make it moderate or even high if you wished.
