TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
- Classification: Force-Imbued and Alchemized Spear-Staff
- Size: Average
- In its standard form, untransformed from the spells woven into it, the staff stands at 1.6 meters tall or roughly the same height as its wielder.
- In one of its transformed states, typically as a scepter or rod to designate Quinn's station, the staff is roughly .8 meters tall or roughly half of Quinn's height.
- In its concealed form, typically disguised as a pin or hair accessory, the staff is only .05 meters.
- Weight: Light
- In its concealed form, the staff would be classified as near weightless due to its being the size of a hairpin or other decoration
- Core of the Staff
- The central gem contained within the crown of the staff is a specially enchanted and altered Echo Stone tied to Quinn's essence. The Echo Stone, acting as a conduit of the Living Force, amplifies Quinn's connection to the Force and enhances her abilities. The longer Quinn is attuned to the Echo Stone contained within her staff, the stronger that amplification can become, although this is a slow process. In addition, the Lady of Secrets has inscribed runes infused with Spirit Ichor to give the Echo Stone additional enchantments that assist Quinn in her preferred techniques:
- Resonant Psyche - A passive enhancement enchantment that enhances the effects of mentalism Force powers, such as Battle Meditation, Force Fear and its more powerful variants, Mind Tricks, Dominate Mind, and Force Illusions.
- Phobis Manifestation - An offensive enchantment that draws upon Quinn's internal metaphysical Phobis Core to create a Force Phantom tied to a victim's fears, manifesting that fear into a physical form to engage that enemy and attaches it to another being affected by the Phobis Core's influence. This enchantment can only be used on one individual at a time, and due to the required energy needed for the technique, can only be used once a day without needing to be recharged by drawing upon ambient Force energies.
- Veil Crossing - An offensive enchantment that draws upon Quinn's experiences with resurrection and the Netherworld to allow her to cast the Sith spell Invoke Spirits once a day before requiring the runes to be recharged by absorbing ambient Force energies.

- Crown of the Staff
- While appearing to be decorative extensions of the songsteel and sarrassian iron body of the staff, each of the curving pieces of the head of the staff is an incredibly sharp blade, able to slice and stab cleanly through armor and flesh with ease and without fear of breaking due to the included mullinine edging.
- Woven into the outermost or largest curved blade are micro particulates of Katak Crystals, giving that blade an ever so slight jade sheen. A slice with this blade drains some of the victim's life force, slowly fatiguing them and adding that life force either directly to Quinn or to the Echo Stone focus core.
- The central curve blade, the one that appears as the most decorative, is generally designed for stabbing enemies. The small red crystal that dangles from the tip, pointing inwards towards the Echo Stone core, is a Qixoni Crystal that can further enhance Quinn's powers, specifically those tied directly to the dark side, such as the sorcery she has learned from her Master or dark-side mentalism powers.
- The smallest curve blade, the one that curves inward towards the Echo Stone core, contains a Dantari Crystal to allow Quinn the ability to recharge and cycle her Force powers and has been heavily carved with runes imbued with Spirit Ichor and Sith Sorcery for additional spells and enchantments that Quinn can call upon in combat:
- Globe of Protection - A defensive enchantment that Quinn can activate by channeling part of her power into the runes to create a protection bubble around herself. The barrier created by the enchantment lasts for one minute when created, giving Quinn time to collect herself and protect her from most any attack, both mundane, such as energy weapons and kinetic weapons, and Force-based. This enchantment can be used twice a day before requiring recharging by absorbing ambient Force energies or by Quinn channeling her own power back into the runes.
- Siren's Mesmer - An offensive enchantment that Quinn can combine with her mentalism abilities by tapping this blade against a subject's forehead to induce a trance-like state that makes the victim susceptible to her spoken commands. This enchantment can only be used a few times a day before it requires recharging by absorbing ambient Force energies.
- Experience Her Pain - An offensive enchantment that draws upon the pain Quinn has experienced within her life to fire bolts of hatred at targets within 36 meters of her position. These bolts of hatred, when they strike an enemy, have the additional effect of causing them to experience Quinn's heartbreak and can sap their will to fight.
- Shaft of the Staff
- Formed from a combination of Songsteel and Sarrassian Iron, the shaft is quite light for ease of use by Quinn when she wields the staff offensively, defensively, or as a symbol of office. The shaft has been carved with Spirit Ichor imbued runes by Taeli for two specific enchantments:
- Conceal Size - A passive enchantment created from the Lady of Secrets' knowledge of Nightsister magicks that allows Quinn to shift the size of the staff between three different forms; that of the staff-spear, a scepter, and a small pin decoration that Quinn can place within her hair or attach to her outfit. This enchantment is purely to allow Quinn to easily transport the staff wherever she goes and to have a weapon on her person at all times, even if her usual weapons are confiscated.
- Conceal Presence - A passive enchantment of Sith sorcery created from research by Taeli into the ancient artifact known as the Yoke of Seeming. This sorcery obscures the nature of the staff and its wielder, clouding attempts to sense either weapon or master through the Force and giving off false perceptions to almost anyone who probes either of Quinn's choice. Skilled practitioners of Force Sense or incredibly powerful Masters can pierce through this sorcery.
- Ferrule of the Staff
- The decorative wrapping near the bottom of the staff has enhanced Etaan Crystals woven into the metal lattice that are attuned to Quinn's voice to allow it to carry to anyone within a room or her vicinity without needing her to raise her voice beyond normal speaking volume. The wrapping also conceals a taozin amulet that Quinn can use to further blur and cloud Force senses, concealing her Force presence so long as the staff is in her hand or on her person.
- The spike at the end of the staff is an alchemized piece of songsteel that Quinn can use as a stabbing weapon if wielding the staff two-handed.
- Even without considering the many enchantments and potent Force crystals incorporated into the staff, Asarsi is also still a very well-crafted and effective spear that Quinn can utilize as a melee weapon during combat. The combination of songsteel and sarrassian iron makes the weapon light to wield, and offers extremely high resistance to lightsabers, due to the properties of songsteel and the alchemy empowered by the sarrassian iron and the mullinine edge on the bladed crown allows the weapon to slice and stab through various armors.
- The inclusion of certain Force crystals and constructs, such as an Echo Stone, a Qixoni Crystal, and a Dantari Crystal allows Asarsi to be a powerful focus and amplifier for Quinn's connection to the Force and her powers.
- Several enchantments created through Sith sorcery, alchemy, and Nightsister magick give the wielder additional abilities as long as she is the one holding the staff.
- Due to the powerful enchantments and Force crystals included in the staff, Asarsi has a powerful connection and presence within the Force. If the staff is not held by Quinn or worn upon her person, its concealment and clouding enchantments are deactivated and it is immediately visible to the Force senses of any even partially trained Force user within the general vicinity, giving away its exact location.
- If an opponent can shatter one of the crystals or damage the runic structures on the staff through the repeated use of powerful light-side Force powers, the staff can lose augmentations and enchantments tied to those runes or crystals until Quinn or Taeli can replace the crystals or reapply the runes.
- If the staff is placed within a Force suppression field generated by an ysalamiri or material such as void stone, the staff's ability to channel Quinn's powers is immediately suppressed. In addition, any 'charges' the staff has for its enchantments are immediately drained, and the staff must be recharged through absorbing Force energies to allow them to become active again once the staff and its wielder are outside of the suppression field.
As the galaxy shifted into a new era of cold conflicts, one stoked by individual challenges and battles, Darth Arcanix had quietly been watching how her prized student navigated the path before her. She had been exceedingly proud of Quinn's efforts, both on a personal scale and a political scale, to grow into herself and create her own power and influence within the galaxy. The younger woman had been crowned Queen of her people, had ascended to the Dark Council itself within the Sith Empire, had established diplomatic and personal relationships with various factions and individuals of significance, and had even begun cultivating her own retainers and forces.
And yet...
There was the worry for her well-being that Taeli extended to her own family, especially in light of recent events. Quinn had drawn the attention of the Jedi within the High Republic, and that attention made the Lady of Secrets uneasy... and admittedly irritated at the Jedi for harassing the poor girl. She knew Quinn had protections, but in time, Taeli knew that the law and bodyguards would only hold them off for so long. She needed to give Quinn a weapon and protection, wrapped together into one package, and give her some sort of talisman to obscure herself more from the senses of those who held ill will towards her.
That package would become Asarsi, a spear-staff named in the Sith language ur-Kittat with the word for Mind. Taeli would incorporate many different enchantments and spells within the new weapon, including the ability for the staff to shift shape into three different forms for better carrying and concealment, all focused around several different Force crystals and an Echo Stone focus attuned specifically to Quinn. A package marked with Darth Arcanix's symbol would be quietly delivered to Quinn at the Mandalorian embassy on Naboo, containing Asarsi in its hairpin form and detailed notes on how to wield the staff and shift it into a symbol and weapon for the young Heir.
