Designed as an alternative to an astromech droid, the Aruni serves much the same functions and is able to socket itself into slots reserved for the smaller droids. They have been working on advancing the technologies and while most of the ships have improved navigational systems there are still a need for a tertiary back up system that has a full database. The miniaturization of it as well as translation software and databases to find alien species or etiquette that can be used allow this to serve as a beneficial companion to a jedi or soldier. Their slicing systems are additionally top notch and connection to the interface that was developed allows seamless commands and controls.
