- Force Consume: As Sanguinite is a variety on kybercrystals that has been artificially grown and has been subject to all manner of sith alchemical processes, it has the innate ability to draw upon the force tobe strengthened, thus consuming the force to further be enhanced. This can be done by for example a wielder of alightsaber with sanguinite at its core channeling the force into the sanguinite focus lens to strengthen the plasmatic blade and its cutting power. However, this can also be used defensively, by having the crystal absorb any channeled form of the force into its direction.
- Focused: Createdasa superior, more focused core for lightsaber or other weaponry's focus lenses, Sanguinite has proven to be superior to regular or rather organic kyber crystals, as it is capable of creating a much higher intensified blade or beam, allowing for greater cutting and penetrating power.
- Force resilient: Due to the inherent qualities and strengths of kyber crystals only being enhanced greatly by sith alchemy and the artificial process in which Sanguinite is grown, this mineral possesses a much greater resilience to applications of the force, allowing it to be a versatile material for various applications and uses.
- Enhancer: Sanguinite is capable of enhancing one's connection to the force when used to channel it, allowing for greater focus and strength while utilizing the connection to the force.
- Corrosives: Due to the nature of sith alchemy, corrosive weaponry or acids could break the alchemic bonds, reactions and spells placed upon the material and thus severely weakening it or even outright destroying it if the acidity or corrosiveness potent enough.
- Sonic: Extremely high pitched noises or high pressure noises are very much capable of shattering this crystal, making force scream for example one of the few exceptions on the rule of its resillience against the force.
- Small Crystals: Due to it's composition, this crystal is not exactly suitable for large applications such as large ship weaponry, as the largest possible properly cut crystal so far has not been larger than the size of an acorn, thus forcing one to use their entire stash of thesecrystals just to make a single large weapon or simply keep things simple and small.
- Origin
After the Zweihander Union, with backing of the Nargath and Zanareth Umbrella Corporation, managed to lay claim to the kyber rich planet of Ilum, a large quantity of samples where sent through to the N&Z's research facilities for study and possible applications. One such application or rather research on these samples was how to artificially grow kyber crystals and how to sustain its growth to secure these artificial kyber crystals as a sustainable resource for a variety of applications in both offensive and defensive technology. It was in one of the research facilities, located on the planet of Scharb, that N&Z researchers managed to find a suitable quality of soil and mixture of minerals which could be utilized to further grow and even strengthen the samples they had gotten.
- Creation and application
With the basics to regrow the crystals having been found, one of the hurdles to the process of artificially growing the crystals, was to make sure the ambient atmosphere held enough force for the crystals to grow on and to sustain themselves. To further strengthen this process, Sith had been contracted to apply sith sorcery and alchemy upon the samples used for this project, making sure that through the alchemic process, the crystals would be more capable to absorb and use the force to grow and sustain themselves.
With that part and thus that problem out of the way, the N&Z Umbrella Corporation immediately set out to determine this new crystal which they had dubbed sanguinite, to its core. One of the first things that seemed to be part of this new creation, was the presence of hfredium and chanlon impurities, partly due to the mineral rich soil containing those primary metals, thus explaining the color of these crystals and their name. During some initial tests, it seemed the Sanguinite crystals reacted heavily to the force in an unexpected way, absorbing and utilizing it rather than buckling under it, which was an interesting aspect to work with in regards to more dubious force related applications and in the use of small weaponry such as lightsabers to be specific. However, what was noticed as well, was the weakness of the Sanguinite to acids and ultrasonic vibrations in particular, making force scream so far the only thing which could truly shatter and permanently damage these crystals when looking at applications through the force.
