Master Yi Fang presented his ward, Artemis Lu, with this force-imbued blade as a gift. It would mark the beginning of her journey towards knighthood. A skilled sword fighter, Artemis was able to truly appreciate the fine craftsmanship of the Atrisian style blade. The force infusion was carefully attuned to the lightside of the force and gives a boost to force valor, allowing the user to move with greater speed, strike with more accuracy and strengthen their resolve. Coupled with the songsteel, this imbuement makes the blade preternaturally sharp, strong, and able to be wielded in a manner similar to a lightsaber. As such, Artemis is able to defend herself against lightsabers and other plasma-type weapons with ease.
However, Master Yi warned that this blade is not completely comparable to a saber when it comes to cutting through materials, especially strong ones. And the light-sided enhancement will be nullified in the presence of items or environments that dampen the force.
