Art of the small

I was looking through some force powers to give myself a better understanding of some of them, as well as give me ideas of some that I might want to try to write out at some point, when I saw this one. Now, I've heard it being talked about every now and then, but even with that combined with the description the website I was on gave me, I'm still a little confused as to what exactly art of the small does. Anybody interested in elaborating?

Art of the Small is one of my favorite powers!

The easy answer is, through meditation and focus, you can Force push individual cells and atoms instead of droids or doors. This is absolutely awesome and very versatile, though not especially deadly unless you try to combine atoms to make chlorine gas or fission explosions at will. I, particularly, like to use it to perform delicate surgeries - but it also has some awesome interactions with powers like mecha-deru if you're creative!

Basically, picture trading your average force user's club of power into a tiny, delicate needle and you've got the idea behind Art of the Small.

Art of the Small allows you to alter things on a molecular level, if you focus enough. It's not an easy feat. It's almost like looking at the world/an item/w.e through a microscope, and then messing around with the very atoms that make it what it is... In doing so, you can change the properties. The main example the Wookiee page gives is how she altered her tears in order for them to have healing properties. Now, obviously this isn't grounded in logic... But it's Star Wars. I tend to view it personally a branch of the Force similar to alchemy. Only on a much, much deeper level. Your character would have to seriously know what they were doing, what they were looking for/to alter in order to do so.

Just my view of it, others may see it differently. Asha (my old Jedi, whom Gherron knew in his Padawan years) was a practitioner of AotS, albeit it wasn't something she used in every day RP. I don't think I used it once here on Chaos.

This character has been trained in Art of Small, and pretty much use it in the way [member="Kyra Sol"] has described. And I think it to be a great skill to RP, but I too have not done so much. Simply because Coci has not had a reason for it. Not yet anyway.. but she is a Jedi Shadow and I considered this force ability to be a very good part of her skills to have in this field.
